Firefox's method of handling using "Plug-in Container.exe" is a disaster. This is one of the reasons why Tanki consistently brown-screens on me while playing.

I haven't found paints to be all that great except one - with Graffiti I can march right up to any Vulcan without worry: Hard to believe this guy was using DD, DA, and had paint with 25% against Twins.

I have a lot of people in my friends list who never use the forums, but, they are very active in battle chat with their thoughts. Perhaps it's an indication that rarely does anything we dislike get changed or rolled back, so, why bother? There are 514,264 registered members here. Is the silence of 514,000 of them akin to approval of this or any update?

I wasn't referring to the video. I mean - we all know your jobs are to post positive things in these threads, so, seeing all the helpers/mods continue to make posts in support of the updates/etc just seems silly because we know you are forced to toe the line or lose your jobs (as you mentioned - negative reports get back to your superiors). Similar to the video - there's no way to know if you are posting the truth or posting what you are told to post as "the truth." If there are over 500,000 "unique" players each month (meaning 500,000 unique IP addresses, for example) then why does the server graph show fewer players than a year ago? I recall often when it was over 120,000 per day - now it's half - we've heard all kinds of excuses during that time such as "it's a holiday" or "school's out" or "school's in" but if any of those were true then the graphs should rebound when those times are over. How many of those players actually stay on instead of just logging in for a short time and quitting due to the great imbalance in the game?

Alienating the free players is a great way to ensure they won't become buyers.

500,000 active players is not the same as 500,000 distinctly individual players. If you get rid of alt accounts the actual number is likely quite low. Which is why it's both silly and insulting to see mods posting posts in support - because we know it's paid "truth."

Same here, never really played much CP until Marshal. Didn't realize that the payouts were good even when losing. :D When I started out I was focused only on getting the flag and returning it. As I moved up and played more I found my style - to create chaos by attacking from the opposite side where most of my team would attack from - in Rio this means plowing down the left side from red to blue, then, entering on the left and spewing flame or plasma balls all over the place - trying to damage as many tanks as possible while distracting enough of the blue team so that someone on red could grab the flag. For me it's more fun this way - I rarely bother with getting flags now. I'm not one of these people who could deal with Rail or Shaft - hiding and then coming out to shoot, then, ducking again. Parking on a hill in Rio with Smoky or Thunder with drugs isn't my style either - I get right up in someone's face if I have to until someone is killed. Also I enjoy trying to do things which are seemingly impossible or strange - nothing gets a player more upset then when I mysteriously drop off a roof to block their retreat in taking a flag (hence, earning the "creeper" part of my screen name with regular precision) :lol:

Any mistake or regret? I'd say mine was buying turret/hulls that I don't use. For me the biggest issue is mouse controls - the addition of that really helped me, but, it means some turrets do not respond well. Firebird, Twins, and Isida work well with it - those also happen to be the three turrets I used the most - with or without mouse controls (this is due to the rotational speed of the turrets). I only use Hornet and Hunter. If I started over I would focus on one turret/hull only and upgrade it the best I could instead of wasting crystals on other things.

I actually may be one of the few people who tries to read everything, but, at least with a +/- it still gives a decent picture of opinion. By the time a thread reaches more than 30 pages it just becomes repetitive. Practically every polling organization on this planet reports responses in an agree/disagree fashion without requiring respondents to say "why" they agree or disagree. I have a college degree and can I formulate my criticism (positive or negative) in a clear and concise manner but not everyone can do this. If the thought is to get people to post why they don't like something I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed in that a great number of respondents aren't going to put much time into explaining why they don't like the announcement, VLOG, or update. I don't see overall how this change to the forums improves anything other than eliminating the appearance of negative feedback on the original post. When there were upvotes and downvotes those who were opposed/upset mostly posted single blurbs such as "Bad!" or "Not good!" This doesn't seem to have changed. So, what is solved now? No more down votes, so, many people will just post "Bad!" or "-1" without further explanation. All it's doing is bloating up threads. Wouldn't it be better to just see the numbers as before than having all the forum helpers/mods now spend extra time on the forum moderating and deleting a bunch of angry posts?

Perhaps you meant to say fewer battles at higher ranks - yes, very true. The higher you go the fewer battles for you. It gets really boring.

That was one of my suggestions in the forum feedback thread - they don't listen or care what we think, so, why not just eliminate it all completely? Post a piece of news and lock it right away. It was already admitted that the I&S forum is a waste of time as nothing will ever be implemented, and, if it does it just means it was an idea that was already in the works anyways. Perhaps they should just shut everything down but turret, hull, and clan discussion.

Yes, I have access to it now. Leaves me speechless. The sad thing about the "Daily Missions" thread that I was taking part in was that my conclusions SUPPORTED the developers - in that overall Daily Missions DO reward better than the Daily Gifts. I posted 20 days' worth of missions to show people that there was nothing nefarious going on - that overall they were worth 33% more than the Daily Gifts. Then, when I decided to start posting missions from ranking to Commander I discovered the thread was gone - all the posts are now mission from my post history too. Yes, the entire thread was deleted from the Game Discussion forum with no reasoning or explanation. Why? Why? Why? Why do they do this? I've been using the internet since 1995 or so and I have never been on a forum where so many posts disappear for no good reason. Now I make screenshots of every post I make so I can prove to people the deletions occur. I still can't believe it.

This is why down votes were eliminated - they can delete posts that they don't agree with at will (as have dozens of mine suddenly disappeared - including whole threads about Daily Missions), but, they can't undo the downvotes. The censorship is stunning here. Chilling.

Not necessarily. If a person didn't play every day then the Daily Gifts would not have been added. A person who drugs probably would have had fewer DD/DA - repair kits are very rare rewards - with Daily Missions the chance of receiving a repair kit overall are 6:100 supplies earned. I expect to reach Gismo in about 2 weeks or so - that comes close to about a year for me as well. :)

My favorite of all time was Opera when it was based on the Presto engine. I detest Chrome because of the ads, I don't care for IE any longer, and, I only use Firefox because I'm left with little choice. I hate how it nags and pretends to make decisions for me (such as automatically disabling Flash and automatically preventing me from visiting some web pages because someone else decided those were a "risk"). Firefox annoys me because there's no setting to automatically open new pages zoomed to a default that I like - this is one of the things that the older version of Opera does well - set it once and forget it. The new version of Opera is based on Chrome and I refuse to use it. I still use the old version of Opera when I can, but, some pages don't play nice with it (the ones that try to mimic the endless scrolling on iPad/iPhone are good examples of poor design). I never liked Netscape back in the day and Firefox is at times just annoying. The thing that really gets me is that when Tanki crashes (as it does at least a dozen times in the course of a few hours) for some reason IE will reload Tanki much faster than Firefox will. Browsers nowadays are overly bloated.

I grabbed a bunch last Halloween because players didn't realize that the boxes were changed into pumpkins :D - if I dig around on my hard drives I might have a few screenshots.

The most profitable missions as I showed you above are the smaller ones - 1500 crystals for killing 50 tanks isn't a bad deal at all. You can easily do that in a round of Polygon CP so it's like getting a free (gold box)*1.5 for doing something you already would do. You spent 15k to get a 67k mission? Keep in mind that the "house" has a major advantage here and spending crystals to chase more crystals likely isn't going to be worth it in the long run.

This has to be my favorite one: a no-supplies battle on RU3 with no drops and no drugs - so you can imagine getting the gold is much harder since you have no repair kits, no way to mine the drop area, and no ability to use DD or DA to gain an advantage. Well.....I got this gold because I had Isida and could self-repair long enough to survive :D This was one of my saddest moments - I got pushed:

Erik0015: As far as the 9999 kills is concerned you're looking at this: Your reward is essentially 82,000 crystals if you bought all those supplies at the garage price. Based on buying a kit the reward is actually worth only 16,000 (this is the 1500 kit for 105,000 which means each supply costs 14 crystals each). I get missions frequently where killing 50 enemies rewards 1,500 crystals. Thus, a mission requiring killing 9999 enemies should be worth 300,000 crystals. I would DEFINITELY get rid of that mission. Also, back on topic, last night I was playing Polygon CP and NO KIDDING but 6 golds dropped in 30 minutes - sadly I missed every one (due to someone jumping on top of me every time). :(
