Big Black Friday sales, a cool bundle, and wicked skins are finally here!

Wowee half off containers! Half off XT Skins is appealing - will have to see what the pricing is. Maybe Ricochet XT, but I just wish there was more gold plating. -
At this point, I have to admit that I’m one of the bad guys, having cultivated three alternate accounts into the M2 ranks. I’m also a buyer and a Premium user on my main. *ducks the tomato* I don’t remember encountering a large number of other alternate accounts along the way. I did see a few, but my memory seems to align with your perspective that the percentage of alternate accounts at low ranks is not that high. But it’s been a very long time since any of my alts were at M0 ranks, so it may be different now. Regarding Premium - it’s the best deal in the shop. Thanks to good shop sales last Christmas and on Tanki’s Birthday, I’ve been Premium about a full year now. Premium has allowed me to keep up with the Jones’ so to speak while only playing about thirty minutes most week days and a bit more on the week end. Premium players with more time to spend in the game must be absolutely swimming in crystals and ranking up much faster.

IMHO the new mission system is an attempt to directly address playet’s alternate accounts. Make missions take more time, so many players no longer have the bandwidth to keep their main going plus a handful of alternate accounts. Far from 100% effective. Some players will simply stop playing on their main accounts and focus solely on their favorite alternate, but reducing a single player’s ability to run full weekly mission chains on several accounts is pretty transparent AFAIK.

I’m not going to vote because I haven’t used Mechanic for comparison. I have used both Assault and Trooper during those grueling Star Weeks. Both are really good for melee range turrets. I would let the map decide. For smaller maps, Trooper is a must in order to immediately engage the enemy at full strength. On larger maps, Assault gives you time to equip all supplies then prolong those drugs with each enemy you kill. Isida works well with both methods, so I would recommend buying both and steadily upgrading during sales. Assault just got a bit of a nerf which makes entry level usage less impactful, so you’ll need to spend at least 5 MUs to get decent results. For that reason, Trooper would be my first pick to answer this thread.

Welcome back, Cedric! I’ve always considered you the best of our three recent CMs in terms of community engagements. When times got tough, you spoke to us with empathy, reminded us to keep level heads, and truly advocated for our concerns back to the administration. You also took the role of CM to a new level, organizing the live streams, and nuerous other engagement threads such as your virtual office. I am truly happy that you have returned.

If this is true and I can buy 200 Containers for $100 USD, then, well, maybe.....
-
VLog graphic for Black Friday sale shows 50% off a set of shop items including Containers. Voice over did NOT include the word ‘container’ when describing what the shop discount will apply to. Truth?
-
Shot ‘effects’ are really just shot color? No ability to change the actual textures of the fire pattern as Cabbage suggests above?
-
Easier to complete though.

I thought about that as I was typing my earlier post. The Finish Top 3 mission is a good idea, but if too many players in a battle have the same mission, the result is chaos and squabbling in team battles. Since that’s one of the choices for the Weekly Floater mission, that chaos has become reality. For the Decoy approach to work, there definitely has to be a gentlemen’s agreement between the players that the decoy role is to be swapped. I haven’t tried this in battle yet, but it might be worth a go to suggest swapping in team chat and see who agrees. As the suggester, I would volunteer to be the decoy first. But the Decoy does not necessarily get no score. Decoy should also be attacking, potentially getting more kills than the ball/flag carrier since the latter will spend their time slogging to the capture point and maybe not making it. I can definitely attest to getting very good score and rewards, maybe not first place but still in the top three, just by being an aggressive offensive attacker while not capping or scoring goals. And am I misremembering or does Tanki give more score to kills made close to the flag or point?
-
Easy to fix this too - just implement the activity rule from Stars week requiring at least 100 points in battle score for the battle to count.

Isida+Vulcan is a tough challenge. Almost as tough as Isida+Isida, the dreaded ‘Isida train’. If you are the only attacker, you’re not going to win. Your only hope is to avoid detection and attack from the rear, killing the Isida, then killing the supported tank before either of them can turn around and respond. Doesn’t always work, but it can. Alternately, you can act as a decoy, drawing the attention of the enemy group while a team mate sneaks in and disables the Isida. But the point stands, you have to take care of the rear Isida first. Back to the decoy point for a moment. Tanki players are notoriously short sighted and easily distracted. Give them a target and they will shoot at it. When you have one of those Finish on a Winning Team missions, start chatting with your team mates. Agree that a few of you run decoy routes, taking enemy fire off of flag bearers, ball-holders, point cappers, etc. You’d be surprised how well it works.

I tend to agree. If used properly and when conditions are right, Drones do give you a boost. But despite the appeal of the newcomer drones, I still have to give the thumbs up to Trooper and Assault (despite the nerf to the latter)
-
I see that I was mistaken on my assumption regarding how Booster works. It’s impact only lasts a very few seconds, and thus it is critical to activate your drug exactly as you engage your enemy. Then, a lot depends on which turret you use - the ability to hit multiple targets using Firebird, Freeze or turrets with healthy splash like Striker and Thunder would seem to be good choices. IDK, IMO too many factors have to line up in order for Booster to be effective. Doesn’t look like a good return on Crystal investment to me. Plus all those batteries you’re burning while this drone is NOT doing anything...

Hey there. I have to double down on my opinion. If the purpose of the new mission system is to have players engaged more, how is it in either developers interest or players interest to WAIT another week before a player can even start  progress on the next 20 missions? Since I won’t get third-tier weekly mission credit for anything I complete before next week, I will not be playing much.
-
^ Return on Investment (ROI) must be carefully considered when deciding whether to buy these drones and alterations. How long is it going to take you to earn those crystals back? And how much of those earning are the result of having the drone/alteration versus just slogging it out with your existing equipment? And of course, what is the likelihood that your new hotness will get a crippling nerf after you buy it? Happened to Vulcan, happened to Smoky, and happened to Assault Drone. My advice is to choose an alteration which fits your play style, rather than one which seems like the new OP hotness. For example, I’m not a fan of Firebird’s afterburn, so I’m considering the alteration which trades away afterburn for an increase in damage; however this alteration does not seem to be overly saturated in the game. On the other hand, the Hammer Duplet is OP right now - I expect a nerf soon.

^prettty obvious that containers are Tanki’s biggest cash cow.

Agreed, if it took you 8 days to do a 7 day mission, you should not have to wait another 6 days just to start the next one. I am in the same situation, unable to play yesterday due to road trip. Tanki should implement a Minimum Elapsed Time rule on the weekly missions. Once you get one, you cannot get another one before 7 days. If it takes you 8 days, you have met the Minimum Elapsed Time and are therefore immediately eligible to start on the next weekly mission. The current system, uses a Fixed Weekly Interval rule, which caused unnecessary delays in weekly mission regeneration.

Rico protection is very common now. Berserker is also very expensive and it would take a while for that to pay for itself, no matter how good it is. I’m also skeptical about it’s doubled energy consumption. I’m not a fan of a Rico which runs out of ammo no matter what the benefits are.

English Wiki STILL not updated.

^ He got Bacon XT. I want Bacon XT. I will pair nicely with my Lettuce XT and Tomato XT.

Hmmm, so what do I lose by completing 10 missions a week instead of 20. 3 containers, and one weekly container. I also lose the mission rewards from playing missions 11-20. But what does that really mean to me? The weekly container is a known quantity. Getting 3 regular containers instead of 6? Well, I just opened 56 and most were complete garbage. So I’m not gonna sweat fewer containers. Tanki can keep them. What do I gain? Since I’ll be able to pick and choose which 10 daily missions I’ll do, I can maximize crystals returns and ignore the supply ones. I will also get back 7-10 hours per week of my life to spend IRL. Done deal.

I received Sun for Isida in a container. So, yellow. Meh.
-
I also am abandoning missions. I opened 56 containers today. Football paints and supplies. It is not worth the grind.
