This second picture is telling. Yes, you can still reach some distance, but look at the numbers you’re getting - just over 100 damage per plasma ball. For Rico, that’s pretty bad, nearly impossible to kill a 3000 HP medium hull, unthinkable if said hull is wearing DA. You need to get closer for Rico to do the damage it needs.
-
Agree with you on Fire. But with Twins, it needs help. Whether from drugs, heavy hulls, or modules against my turret, a Twins user now has to bring something else to the table in order to dominate. Twins vs Rico - at ramming range, sure Twins might win, but with any distance between the two tanks, Rico punches harder IMO.

Managed 200 stars, which is modest, but for me, having a real life and family, it was a good target. I took advantage of the double battle funds and equipped Assault Drone, so I was able to earn quite a pile of crystals. This in turn prepared me for today’s MU sale. Being only 25%, I used a different approach, starting my MUs with the cheapest item in my garage then moving to more expensive items. I have a couple of hulls and modules with only one step left - those did not get MUd today - rather I built up my other equipment so that each has only the last couple of steps left. Why? I’m expected a 50% MU sale for Halloween, and when that happens, I should have my garage M4 (not counting Drones).

Judging solely by turret proliferation in battle, it looks like Firebird, Freeze, Ricochet, Thunder, and Rail seem to be the good ones now. I have to add that in the right hands, Striker can be a real beast. But this change has pushed Twins out of favor. I might see one Twins user in a battle, struggling to stay alive using Titan for health. Magnum is an odd one (see what I did there?). I’ll see three or four in a battle (usually Sandal or Highland), then won’t see any for many battles. I’m fine with that. Hammer and Isida are still around and are solid threats when drugging. What’s everyone else seeing on the battlefield? What do you think are the new go-to turrets?
-
So I have played with a Assault Drone. At first I didn’t do well. I kept drugging and rushing into a cluster of enemies. I would get a kill or two but almost always die under enemy fire. No real change from normal drugging. In team battles, I struggled to get kills, which are needed to activate the Assault Drone mechanic. Many times my needed kill was stolen by a team mate. So I returned to DM. I took a slightly more cautious approach. I stayed out of the fight as much as possible while I got all supplies active. Then I would approach enemies, taking care not to get myself surrounded. Worked pretty well. I was able to sustain supplies for a very long time and do very well in most battles. Very small maps and very large maps were a problem since Assualt Drone can’t save you from an onslaught of many enemies, nor do you get much benefit if you can’t kill enemies fast enough. It also requires a bit more skill to use effectively than Trooper, which in my mind is the noob drone “spawn-kill-die-repeat” So - which is better Trooper or Assault? At 5 MUs, the two are close in effectiveness, but I give the edge to Assault. Why? -because of the time needed to activate all supplies, the cooldown for Assault has completed, this Assault is always ready when you need it. If you die too quickly, you don’t get Trooper activated on your next spawn -Trooper only helps once per spawn, and for a small time. Assault kicks in with each kill. As long as you maintain health, you can run full supplies indefinitely. But Assault Drone is very popular. It’s the most common one I see in battle. If that trend continues, it’s bound to get nerfed. Back to maps for a moment. Large maps are a problem for both Drones, and maybe not suitable for Drones at all. Think maps like Yorkshire where you do more driving than fighting. All that time burning those expensive batteries.... .

Lots of confusion on why this was done. ‘What were they thinking?” Easy Engineer wasn’t selling, so it got a buff. Now everyone gonna buy it.

Rico M3/M4 is actually much improved now. I was a naysayer and thought the range loss was bad, but I was wrong. The boost in ammo is much more important. Don’t believe me? Equip it and check how many enemies are wearing Rico protection. The threat is real.
-
That would end the game and probably the company. Most players would quit instantly after seeing their real money and earned Crystal revenue, which they have put into Modules and Module MUs disappear. Remember that fully upgraded modules represent over a million crystals each. Multiple that by fourteen modules - if they go up in smoke, players will be at alterniva’s door with torch and pitchforks.
-
Be very careful what you say about supply usage. If I were Alterniva, I would be looking at new ways to make players use more supplies, not less. As a player, that won’t be good news.

Today’s stupid sight was just me scrambling around Molotov DM trying to get kills with Freeze. Too darned lazy to change my turret.
-
Twins really feels like a defensive turret now. It still has its impact force, so its very good as slowing down approaching enemies in RGB with the ball and ASL with flags. It’s reign of terror in DM is over, and Inwouldnt take it anywhere near JGR
-
Twins is still very usable either without alteration or with Stable Plasma. Plasma Core Accelerators might seem like a way to get the old Twins back, but it’s just not. The longer distance and slightly faster velocity just doesn’t walk back enough of the nerf. I have to agree with ByeByeBye. Yes, it’s a usable turret, but it’s no longer the battle dominator it once was.
-
Stupidest sight today? Twins incapable of hitting pretty much anything. Shaft became a melee weapon
-
I think you are overlooking the 25%-33% nerf to projectile speed. Only the fatties Titan and Mammoth stand much of a chance of getting hit..
-
“projectile speed will be significantly reduced (by 1.5 times” wut? Reduce something by 1.5x and you are left with -0.5, which would make Twins plasma move at half speed, but move BACKWARD  Can someone explain what this really means??? EDIT - just checked the patch notes - M4 Plasma will only travel as fast as non-MUd M0. And M0 will slow down 33%. So, yeah, Twins can fire at long range, but I’ll be able to have a cup of coffee, take a cra—- break, and then get my thoughts together in time to move out of the way. .

Elephant with tusks?

That’s my go-to on my M2 alt accounts. I’d bought an M2 Kodiak module which got split up, messing up a plan I’d been working from WO through Captain ranks :(
-
I like both these ideas 1-a MM Assault battle consists of two rounds, between which each team switches sides 2-change the mechanic so that both Red and Blue both attack and defend - both have flags and both have a capture point. Whoever caps more wins! Obviously 2 eliminates the need for 1
-
Good call, but on tight maps, you’ll need Fire and Freeze protection either equipped or standing by. Thunder campers are a problem on medium maps too. My personal go-to protection mix is Rico-Rail-Thunder.

Today’s Rugby Noob. Hiding with the ball in our home base... like he’s playing CTF or something. So of course an enemy invades our base, takes the ball, and scores immediately for the other team
-
Today Rugby noobs running full drugged plus speed boost, carrying the ball... ...away from the enemy’s goal
-
I’m getting there. After thinking it was underpowered at M3, then expecting this latest change to be a nerf.... But with the much deeper energy / shots per tank, it’s a beast now. Only problem is that many Legends still have 50% Rico protection, so you may need to swap out for something more subtle, like Hammer.

Okay dayum that’s some good stuff! With expectations low, I tried one of these links on my iPhone7 and was pleasantly surprised to see the Zone model load in just a few seconds with full rotate and zoom functionality. I’d love to see this work continue. Solikamsk (apologies if I spelled that wrong) or Magistral would be cool MM maps to explore.
-
Finish my M4 hulls - 2 steps left on Hunter, 1 step each on Dictator and Mammoth. Then all turrets and hulls will be M4. Will probably make this happen in the next 50% MU sale. Modules will be next. I’ve got between 2-4 steps left on most. Might be able to make this happen by the end of the year
