Anyone else think Hammer's reload got nerfed again? I've typically done well with it even in drug wars, but today it just felt ineffective. Shot reload felt longer than Smoky AND Thunder Clip reload was longer than supply duration - meaning you're only getting one clips worth of double damage yield  I don't remember it being that bad a week or so ago.

Yeah, Magnum has been everywhere these last two days. One battle had four on a team. Made my module choice easy.
-
Dictators everywhere though. Didn't see any hackers thankfully, but I did get called a hacker after someone lifted my Titan helping me catch a gold.
-
Not as many as I did this time yesterday :D
-
Caught 7 gold boxes this weekend. I know that's nothing compared to what some of you are pulling in, but it means a lot to me since I usually can't play on the weekends. Managed to squeeze in a couple of hours this morning and again after lunch. And 50% sales have been awesome!

You sir, get the prize for truly beating this game.

Awesome - bundle here I come! Edit - Thank you for posting the price of the bundle. I've had the darndest time debating with mods and Cedric over the inanity of hiding prices prior to the sale. I'm very happy that policy has changed. Those of us who pay with gift cards and PaySafeCard now have the time to go get the appropriate amount of funding. .

I will try to be there. 9am EDT on Sunday means I might be online but might be logged off to get some things done around the house.

(poll) Do you think the numbers of isidas change the outcome of a battle?
austen_pierce replied to I-Hate-Druggers in Archive
This. Agree 100%. Take supplies away and you still have a formidable Isida force since attackers can't use DD or RK. -
I thought this was just going to be another hate thread, but I'm reading some very good points. I agree that this turret is horribly misused as a melee weapon and the designers didn't seem to foresee that exploit. I'm guilty of it myself. My trick: 1-hide 2-reduce my angle to between 0 and 2 degrees - yes flat 3-press and hold space bar until I have a 100% charge - keep holding 4-emerge from hiding and find an enemy, preferably a group of enemies 5-rock my Viking as needed depending on the distance to he enemy, meaning I don't have to adjust the Magnum angle 6-release spacebar - this results in the projective nearly instantly crossing the distance almost in a straight line, and usually demolishing anything it hits and ravaging enemies nearby 7-hide, rinse, and repeat So I essentially have a Super-Thunder with a long reload. But with so few modules out there, Magnum just plows the field. Fair? Hey ally's fair in kills and crystals. Tanki has bred me that way (or should I say starved). Back to modules - modules work in Magnum's favor for a couple of reasons: First, most enemies don't equip Magnum due to its rarity (but becoming less rare) and fire rate. The bottom line is that players have other turrets to worry about. Firebird, Twins, Thunder, Rail, Ricochet, Hammer, and Freeze come to mind although that order is debatable. Second, there is a bigger problem, one which I feel the need to complain about. There is only one useful Magnum protection module - the one with Twins and Striker. The VERY few other turrets out there are IMO rubbish. Unless I end up on Brest or Highways I have not use for Shaft protection. What I really want and what the game needs is a Module with both Thunder and Magnum. Of course there isn't one. So players like me are learning how to use Magnum like a Thunder. I generally play no supply battles and Magnum is an absolute beast. On double damage this thing has got to be completely insane. Almost forgot to acknowledge the point about immobilizing a hull during the charge and firing process. I'm not 100% with the idea but I do think it is a good way to address those like me who are using it like a Thunder. Immobilizing makes Magnum a bit like Shaft, but I'm not sure if it would be too similar due to the ballistic fire pattern. Earlier this year, I predicted a Magnum nerf in the October time frame. Probably in the week or two before the Halloween event so that the celebration and sale event fans away some of the black smoke from the impacted Magnum player base. Here's the thing though - we've had plenty of great 50% sales since Magnum was introduced, and while the turret has become common enough to see one or two in every battle, battles aren't 'crawling' with them like we say with Firebird and Isida for years, Freeze and Hammer for months, and Vulcan for the brief window before Tanki sliced a whopping 30% out of its bite. So without Magnums swarming the game, I'm not so sure we're going to see a damage nerf - but I think the imobilizers are onto something in that something needs to be done about he way the turret can be abused. Whew! Sorry guys - that went on longer than I thought!

I appreciate it! Added section on equipment changes Will probably make one more update then abandon this as it does not seem to be garnering much interest. -
Weekend Giveaway with hot prizes and Double Funds!

No idea who you are talking about. Good seeing you in battle, falcosenna1, and congratulations on making your goal. -
Thank you Ninja. I was worried about an arithmetic overflow in the code - the type of thing when you (extreme example: 1 byte number) add 1 to 255 and get 0.
-
At least one buyer has not

Hi Nives- What is the maximum number of any given supply, say mines (since I am already over 10k), that a player can have in his/her garage?
-
Finish in the Top 5 on a Losing Team Why? Simply - to incentivize players to remain on losing teams as opposed to leaving the battle early. We already have a finish first mission, but finishing first in a MatchMaking battle is so difficult most will simply change the mission. Finishing in the top 5 (really just means the top half of the MM leaderboard) is very achievable. Furthermore this encourages players on a losing team NOT to simply give up and stop trying. I would encourage Alterniva to reward this mission with crystals, since players on the losing team will be shorted battle funds. Don't bother with arguments about economy and fairness - not everyone will have this mission.
-
^That electric heart one is amazing. Pool should hit 100 million in about an hour
-
Correct - I think of this bundle as buying a discounted 1500 supply kit with some gold boxes and premium time added as a bonus (and later you'll receive a paint). The crystal contest is fascinating to watch but most players should not expect to receive any crystals from this purchase.
-
I'm watching this too. Growing a bit slower since it's the second day, but I do think it's gonna breach 100m crystals
-
Is there a maximum number of any given supply we can have in our garage? .
-
Yeah, I see what you mean. I played a DM battle this morning and found it very easy to have supplies active most of the time just by watching my cool downs and taking cover for a few brief moments while they reset. I heard falcosenna1 say he'd used 700 supplies today. I just don't play enough for that kind of burn rate and with another three months of x3 chain rewards, the question I am after is how many supplies can a player have in their garage.

Thank you TBC. Could I ask you a favor and add the protections of the modules you recommend to your post? I promise everyone I'll be back to write more of the guide in the coming days. I've taken a quick break to follow the Moscow topic and grind away in the game itself. Plus it's a holiday in the US so I'm hanging with family. Back soon - lots more to write! . -
Hmm if my math is right the current set of winners will receive about 500,000 crystals. Since the number of winners increases by one for every 500k added to the pool this payout rate should remain steady. Update now at over 71m crystals. Odds of winning are about 1 in 25, again if my math is right. More trivia - divide the number of crystals in the pool by 1000 and you get how much money (at least in my currency - USD) Alterniva has pulled in from this event. .
-
You make good points, but I am holding out for more of a 'normal' bundle. I'm already Premium, anyway.
-
Can those who have noticed this behavior comment on whether their Vulcan is M4? I only have 15/20 MUs on my Vulcan. I played for a while yesterday but could not replicate the problem.
