Yeah - different strokes... But there are buyers, no lifers, and high rankers out there who have already reached M4 Garage including full 50% Modules. XTs and fancy paints are status symbols for those guys. I asked Nives about the near term roadmap and XT Skins wasn't on the list, so folks have some time, probably the rest of 2017 to ponder purchasing and XT before the change to Skins. I stand by what I said above - it's almost always better to purchase BEFORE these kinds of changes.
-
In your situation, I think you are safe. Whenever they have monkeyed around with MUs they have been pretty good about merging progress. Remember when some folks got free M4s? For the life of me I can't remember which change that was. What I am not sure of is whether that progress will be completely additive. Will 10MUs +10MUs yield an M4? I'm not so sure they're that generous since those first 10 MU steps are much cheaper than the 11-20 ones
-
I'm confused. Skins have absolutely nothing to do with pay to win. And the rest of your post is mostly what I said originally. ???? Sure, but still a waste since TO will almost certainly NOT add MUs from normal and XT items together when merging.

XT Skins Today you need Premium (however you get it) and 500,000 crystals. Maybe you get a super mission, but for most players that 500k is the minimum cost of entry - it's also the max since most folks can get Premium for little to no outlay of real money. Who thinks they will be able to equip an XT Skin after the coming change for 500,000? Anyone? No, I expect XT Skins to move into the shop. Just look at the last year plus of the shop. XT Skins make sense to cost real money only. In the unlikely event hat XT Skins are available for crystals, I expect 750,000 to be the lowest price. Both options would be accompanied by the creation of the COMPLETE XT SET to stir up interest. Those of you with 500k to spare  - get that XT now, and don't drop a single MU into it!

MU kit - 10 MU steps of your choice - 50% off :D :D :D :D :D :D Here's the catch - that 50% off is based on the lowest MU on any item in your garage. Would have to be separate kits for Hulls, Turrets, and Modules Will NEVER happen but cool to ponder

So glad you got a pic of this score. That was a great battle very close till the last few minutes when we pulled ahead. Good seeing you in battle!
-
Probably because it hasn't been long enough since Tanker's Day for the near-M4 step delays to complete. I know I have at least 2 Modules which still haven't completed their step delays, one Kodiak and legacy Lumberjack.
-
Yup. And if you don't see the map you want, hey, guess what, we're talking PRO battles so go ahead and *create* one ;). On EU2 folks will join, if only to see if you are dropping gold.

I gotta say I like these Friday events. I can't play much on the weekends but I often have time on Fridays to hang out and have fun, be that in TO or IRL

Most no supply are also no overdrives, thankfully That's actually pretty telling - when given a choice, players generally opt for no supplies, no supply drops, no friendly fire, and no overdrives. Conversely, those same players generally opt for gold box drops, alterations, and micro upgrades enabled. Food for thought.

We won't even need turrets soon. Just enter a battle and hit shift. Revolutionary!

IDK the mainstream lifespan of a given console is only 2-3 years. If I were a MMO, I wouldn't bother. Mobile is the future.

Awesome! I want more! Great job!

Thank you!

To the above, I'm looking forward to games where everyone isn't running around with 2 sets of drugs. I'll know better than engage the very few Dictators I see in battle, and for the rest I'll just go back to the midrange play I enjoyed before it became a lost cause. To , we need clarity on when changes are coming! If dates aren't known then at least a lineup / roadmap of the following: -Matchmaking test -Hull Overdrives -HTMl5 -Full Matchmaking See what I mean? You have a lot of irons in the fire right now and players are getting confused.

1-when I bought Rico M2 for crystals and laid waste on Noise CTF. 2-when I bought Redneck kit for crystals, getting Rico M3 and Lumberjack. Not the game changer that it was at M2, yet meaningful to me as my fave turret at M3. 3-becoming a 'real money' buyer and taking half my garage to M4 last year 4-Hammer 5 shot and Twins stable plasma alterations - must haves 5-my first M4 Module - Kodiak (Rico,Rail,Thunder). I'm STILL waiting out the step delay on this one. ---------------------------- Worst purchase - the supplies 1500 kit for crystals just a day or two before it became shop-only. It was a good deal, but I've never used them. I have several thousand of each supply now and am gaining them orders of magnitude faster than I can use them. .

Yep, since the swap Viking is more like a light hull than a medium, hitpoints aside. Low weight and skiddish traction means enemies spin it like a top. Smoky spins me 90 degrees easy. Rail sometimes turns me completely 180. "Medium" hull? SMH... When I first heard Hull alterations were coming I was hopeful that I might be able to buy my way back into the old Viking specs, but alas, Viking will continue to be the flapjack of medium hulls. And Hunter - I though, at the time of the stat swap, that tankers would eventually buff their Hunters and ditch Viking. That really hasn't happened. Sure I see a Hunter or two in a large battle here or there, but the numbers are way too low to call it the beginning of a trend or just random encounters. Maybe in another 6-12 months we'll see, but maybe most Viking lovers like me just decided to get used to the new handling. BTW Viking with Twins is an absolute beast on DM. I joined a large battle late and walked away with second place. What topic is this again? ;) .
-
Buffing a bomb is easy - bigger blast radius.
-
Good point - I'll be investing in Dictator, so I'll keep this in mind. On the other hand, I'd like a light hull M4 for XP/BP, but aren't MUs off during format battles? I was thinking Wasp because of its ability to pivot as being useful with Railgun. But the bomb doesn't thrill me. On the other hand, Overdrive isn't normally active in format battles. I'm trying to figure out if I should invest in Wasp or Hornet or neither. What do you all think? .
-
That is the exact opposite of what I said.
-
Pedro, you are the only Dictator I ever see outside of 5x gold weekends
-
I'm not investing in another M4 hull just to maybe do that twice in a battle.
-
Giving the all-supplies overdrive to Dictator is a fairly transparent attempt to drum up investment in this unpopular hull. In related news, I expect the Viking fire rate overdrive to be mediocre at best. Why? Simple - There's no such thing as a free lunch. Everybody (okay almost everybody) already has Viking. Alterniva wants to spur hull purchases, not stagnate them. I've been MU'ing all my hulls since this was first announced. I'm not yet in great shape but I'm good enough that now that I know what Overdrives are associated with which hulls, I know which I'll invest further in and which I'll shelve until the next carrot is dropped. Wasp - pass Hornet - pass Hunter - pass Dictator - invest (both for the all-supply Overdrive and Gold Box possibilities) Mammoth - wait and see but probably pass The trouble is that these Overdrives are very temporary in nature. It's not like the hull will have these abilities full time. I love the thought of negating enemy modules and deactivating enemy supplies, but only being able to do it once or twice in a battle with enemies in a specific range isn't enough for me to switch hulls. .

wait and see I guess
