Clearly because only one of the attributes really counted- armor on hulls and damage on turrets. Everyone was upgrading only those and seeing great improvements in play. And Tanki also saw too many crystals in circulation. Pretty classic inflation scenario. .

I'm actually playing on my alt now. I just jump back to my main once a day to do missions. Then back to my alt. I've started rotating my alts, dusting them off only after they have been idle long enough to collect the Welcome Back bonus. I know that's no way to rank my alts quickly, but I'm really not that interested in ranking them, just playing for fun when I've had enough of play at high ranks. I hear you on turret and hull training on low ranks. That's why I created all of my alts. My first was braxton_walker to test out Freeze, which later changed to Firebird after TO ruined Freeze. Optimus-Kirk was my second to test out Mammoth-Shaft, and later Hunter-Thunder-Twins. Ironically, despite all those purchases (one was Predator kit), this is my highest ranked alt. Most recently, I created Vampire_Medic and Isida-Hornet-Wasp tester. All of these are in the WO ranks, with Optimus being a bit farther along... third Lieutenant. I consider myself proficient with those turrets, although I'm out of practice on Fire and steering M1 Hunter is maddening after using M3+ Viking on my main. Depending on what I buy on my main during the May sale... M3 Twins or Isida, maybe Titan.... I just won't need a M1 or M2 version. I'm toying with the idea of a Dictator-Vulcan alt. What do you guys think? Maybe repurpose an existing alt assuming I absorb the equipment on my main? Edit/Update - instead of the usual supplies and crystals welcome back package, my FireWasp alt got 7 days of Premium as a welcome back bonus. I've ranked twice in a couple days of game play. I might make Second Lieutenant on that alt, and will squat until Firewall comes back. Then it is all over but the burning. - Ok, I made Second Lieutenant. Now I just need to earn about 16k more crystals before Firewall returns to the garage. - Mkay... I'm about halfway through Second Lieutenant and am doing just fine with Firebird M1. Firewall and the crazy price tag are becoming less attractive. Might just wait for sales and buy what I want in pieces. Then again, maybe not. M2s are starting to show up in battles and my stuff can't hold it's own against Boar. .

I find Nano a smidge more threatening because it protects against Hammer and Rico - my two turrets. :) But looking at the numbers Raccoon may be the more useful paint.

. That 3-hour Premium Mission reward is just insane. Grinding through battles during those three hours, I can usually pull in about 10k crystals. And happy 170th!

Atlas is a great kit for small and medium maps.

I feel you. Be patient, you'll get something eventually. But don't plan around PDs. You never know what they might offer you. Have some crystals stored just in case, but set your sights on more tangible goals like kits, sales, and rank ups. .

Yep... I usually play about two hours a day. Enough to do my missions and grind through a couple of death matches or CTF/CP battles for fun. My income is about 50/50 missions and battle funds. A couple of weeks or a month of that and you're ready for some big purchases.

. Isida is a good turret for MU to M4. Viking is a good hull too for the same reasons. Good ROI for those crystals.

Less so in higher ranks. A couple of defenders will stay behind. I got Gold Box pushed by another Titan last night. Maddening. I think this topic has run its course, so I won't post more. I did get revenge last night. Found a gold box in Kunger and took it while the other tabks scrambled on the far side of the map.

Maybe the turrets you're up against? Whether they were drugging? Whether you ate your Wheaties? .

I own both Viking and Hunter at M3. Which to MU to M4? Viking. Clear winner in ROI of those MU crystals. .

No worries. M2 Rico is very good but even with MUs you need a 'bridge' turret to tide you over to M3. M3 Rico unlocks so late (Commander), that the M2 gets pwned by the other M3 turrets north of Brigadier. I used Hammer M3 and liked it, but was happy to pick up Rico M3 in Redneck kit at Marshal. I get accused of being a buyer all the time since I have purchased two M3 kits.. Jackhammer and Redneck. I'm not... I just saved my battle fund and mission crystals. .

Even free players should have accumulated enough crystals to get one turret and hull both to M4 long before Gismo. It's all about sales... Never buy at full price. And don't buy more than one or two items out of the garage at any M level. Figure out what you want to be and be that.

I have to agree. I'm not a huge Hammer fan but it is less frustrating than rail. This is also a classic question of what maps you play, since these two are different range guns.

Vulcan is pretty rare at high ranks. You do see some and they are powerful but not very plentiful. Hanmer and Isida are the turrets that become more popular at M3 after all but disappearing at lower ranks. Thunder is diminished at M3, but still playable. Vulcan, when you do see one, will kill you before you get close enough to do enough damage.

I can't remember a team mate firing at me with rail. If it happened, I would be very upset and flat refuse to heal that tank.

I'm not so sure. Have you noticed that the VLogs have been very quiet on Tanki X lately (I have not seen this week's) Personally I am saving for the May sale. It wil be here before you know it, and this will be the first time I am truly expecting 50% off on all turrets and hulls. .

Yes. I liked the map too. Lots of opportunities for both teams. Just need to replace the Christmas tree.

I got a gold yesterday. First time since the Assault mode on the Holiday map. I really miss that map and mode. So much fun! The day before I got gold-box stolen by a Titan. I swear I was on the spot, but the Titan took it anyway. Only made my Titan rage that much worse :)

Mammoth Shaft seems to be the popular combo. I would think a kit with that and good prot from short range turrets would be a great M3 kit Lots of good M2 kits - Firewall, Minotaur, Stinger, and Boar come to mind. You gotta be careful though with M2 kits... If you don't get exactly what you need you'll end up crystal poor later when you really need to be buying M3s.
