I know I may be speaking to the void with how dead the forum is these days, but I'm desperate for advice. The last time I played consistently was about 6 years ago right after the first couple drones were released. Since then a lot has changed, including the meta. Back then I had an M3 Smoky/Dictator at Brigadier and was a formidable competitor for my rank. Now it feels like I'm killed on spawn by whatever wild and wacky turrets and augments are OP. I feel like an ancient artifact trying to barely scrape by in a modern, hostile Tanki. With all these changes, I'm wondering what it would take to make me somewhat competitive again. I'm a Major General and my best turrets are Smoky Mk7-10 and Rico Mk7-2. Best hulls are Dict Mk7-7, Titan Mk6-2, and Wasp Mk6-2. I have a level 0 Brutus drone that I bought when drones first came out and 26% protection against Firebird, Freeze, Smoky, Twins, Ricochet, and Railgun. And I have plenty of supplies. So first off, is that garage somewhat decent? I feel like back then M3 Smoky and Ricochet were pretty busted and Dictator wasn't the best hull but it held its own. And what could I do to help my garage out a little. I've got 353k crystals to help out. Should I invest in another hull but stick with my two main turrets? Should I upgrade my drone or protections or turret/hull? Augments? Should I buy 7,000 speed boosts so I can go sonic fast and no one can ever catch me? ? Please help. I'm stuck playing XP/BP right now because at least that hasn't changed for 5 years, but I want to relive some of my matchmaking TO experience and be able to finish at least top half in my team once. Also, I have no idea how things are bought anymore. Can you never straight out buy equipment and you just have to upgrade it to the next level? Is there still a rank cap on certain equipment?

Okie dokie, I think it's time to announce this. The clan hierarchy have known for about a month now, but I haven't let it on to many other people. I'm leaving Tanki. Not because it's boring, not because it's taking too much time from studies -- just cause I feel like I should be doing more important things at the moment. My final year of high school is starting in a week or so, and while I know I could balance Tanki, school, soccer, and a host of other miscellaneous activities, I'd really just rather keep it simple. To be honest, being part of this clan has been one of the best experiences of my life. yehhhh ik i have a pretty boring life lol jk. Thanks to everyone who's made my time here as amazing as it was. Can't even name all of you, although I will give a shoutout to Dos and Zen for being the best leader and co-leader anyone could ask for. I'm the oldest active member aside from Dos himself and I've seen lots of stuff happen. I've made lots of friends and maybe a couple of enemies too lol. *looks furtively at deadsy* Being a part of the HD has given me an immense appreciation for people of different cultures and backgrounds. Well welcome to the AWC! :) The sheer number of mistakes in this piece made it hard to edit, so don't be surprised if there are still errors. I did the best I could in the circumstances though. Edits: Loads of formatting edits. Remember that in typing, the comma normally comes right after a word and then a space after the comma, and then the other word. eg: "At the store, get eggs, cheese, and bacon". Loads of grammar edits. That's to be expected if English isn't your first language. No worries there. But a couple things to keep in mind for the future. Turrets don't have gender (use "it" as the pronoun rather than assigning genders to them, even if Isida is obviously a girl turret :ph34r:) Learn the difference between words like it and it's, and your and you're. Loads of spelling edits. Spellcheck is your best friend. Use itttt. I think for the moment it would be good if you stuck with pieces in your native language (I'm assuming English isn't). If you're set on writing in English, then I'd suggest getting a grammar checking app like Grammarly. Normally I'd advise against Grammarly because it isn't actually all that accurate, and native English speakers don't benefit that much from it, but for someone who isn't used to English grammar, it helps keep things readable. That being said, the content of the article was top-notch. Very informative and honestly, if it wasn't for the poor English, it would deserve a place in the newspaper. Keep it up! ^_^ Approved.

If you were anyone else, I'd probs just post an quick "amk" in response to that^ to stick with the examples I've given in the article, but since you actually gave valid and constructive feedback, I'll answer. lol I agree that there's a line to be aware of in satirical writing, but I also consider it to be mainly subjective. It varies with the target audience, and the point you're trying to make. In this "article", I decided to skew the writing towards the humorous side, sacrificing the subtle, satirical method for something that would be more approachable for readers of all ages and English levels. I realise that most English-y people probably didn't enjoy the low quality satire, which is why I put in Kaisdf's totally not inspect elemented response to this article. Anyways, thanks for the feedback, and good to see you back :) also, idek what amk is, it's just something people in all the cool clans used to say and I thought it was super annoying <__< :lol:

sorry for not approving this sooner -- I've been a bit busy. Edits (precise changes listed as per your request :)) In your first two video bits, there's a discrepancy in your grammar. Your first sentence was "GENERAL FRED stands before a green chromakey screen wearing his dress uniform." (no comma before the ing verb) and in the second you had "GF’s head as the turret of a crudely-animated cartoon tank, leading a column of more cartoon tanks." (added a comma before the ing verb). I made the two consistent. Honestly, I think something like that can go both ways... not even sure if there's a definitive rule about comma placement in that situation. You should always aim for consistency though. The beginning of your third video clip wasn't capitalised "pulls back to reveal..." to "Pulls back to reveal" In your 7th video clip, you had capitalised the second word of the sentence "Medium Close-up of GF..." to "Medium close-up of GF..." I couldn't figure out how to fix the weird formatting glitch making that huge gap between the title and content :/ I'm sorry, there may be more but I'm in a bit of a time crunch right now.
