Interresting. Usually mains have much more M0 turrets stcked in their garage, as they needed to try them out once they started. So you used an Alt to find out that you like Isidas gameplay?
-
^in that case logi with an alt and search for a mod in the lobby chats. they can help.
-
To start of, you should make a good investment, and share 5k of your crystals with me. Then I would tell you, that you get waaaayyy better answers, if you provide a little detail about your plaing style: Are you an attacker, midfield sniper, midfield interceptor, Def, camper, CTF, CP, ... such very important basic infos :) If you don't do it.. most players will just tell _you_ what _they_ like most. Are you happy if someone recomends you Smoky/Mammuth as the ultimative combo, becoase he loves it? ps: forget about the crystals, I was just kidding ;)

1. you need to be able to turn the turret, turn the hull, accelerate and shoot simultaniously. This is.. cruicial, especially for freeze. 2. Classic frontal attack route for freezers (note the turning of the turret) As M2s and M3s come, you will see that they turn way to fast, while the freezeing time does not get shorter. Or in other words: your obvious advantage to slow them down takes tooo long to be effective, and you get killed. Thats why freeze is a poor design with todays parameters. The benefits that they gave Freeze, was a very low energy consumption and devestating damage and early availabiliy. But if you compare it to same-leve-firebird.. a freeze stands no chance.

I see. I thought you get the stinger kit just to buy something at the sale and get your hornet and the paint, while the Isida will be unused. Well if you really play a lot Isida, then this kit it makes sense. Before you decide, you should consider as well the time you will need to reach the Rail M2 rank. You need aprox. +140k experience - that is about 120..130h of gameplay (the enemies become better as well, you can not extrapolate your current rank speed of this alt of yours ;) ) Consider how many weeks you have to wait, and if this is fine for you. Good luck on your choice! Please also tell if you play attack, mid or defense. Attacking Dictators at Silence are usually not very lucky (except they drug).

well as you play no CP games but CTF most of the time, it's - either Viking+Fire - or Titan+Vulcan As you seem to love your hornet, I would say go Viking. Titan is really a damn slow thing.. As you like your Shaft, a Firebird will give you some other aspect to the game, while a Vulcan is also about camping. So Fire/Viking. If you can get only one of em, get a Viking. It makes your Titan M1 obsolte and works as a good platform

When did that rebalance occur, that you are talking about? Do you mean the paired rebalances in Spring and Mid 2015?
-
You have an effective M2 combo that you love - so don't buy any other M2s. also don't MU your combo to M3, it is way to expensive to go all the way. Save the crystals for M3s.. they are very expensive. There you can then decide to get a Hunter/Viking or Dictator as a Hull for your Rico.. whereby you should carefully check the figures in the wiki (not only the M3 figures, but very important are the M4 figures!) Maybe you also want to get an XP or BP combo when you reach M3; some paints will ocme in handy.. you see you will need every single crystal that you can save up. Scrap Dictator+Smoky for the while beeing, and learn decent gameplay with Hammer and precise aim with Twins - to increase your efficiency on the battlefield. Work your way up to M3 ranks and then you can get your Smoky. Maybe as a Smoky/titan kit. Stinger is awesome, but if you love Hornet/Rail, then you should save only for Tornado. Consider that if you get Stinger, your Tornado savings are gone.. and you can start to save up from the scratch. Tornado unlocks the M2 rail soooo early, that it a crime to balance (means you are overpowered for 3..4 ranks and will earn a lot of crystals if you play clever).

Sorry to tell you this, but you compare rico in strange ways.. You see, all the scenarios you've listed do not use the Rico as they should. Please note that all turrets have their drawbacks and their advantages - and each gun can only excel if you use its advantage and try to stay away from it's weaknesses. You know, all the things and arguments would be much more true with a railgun. You die first, others have no reload, a firebird kills you... and so on. Almost no skilled railgun player keeps asking for more and more damage.. as they have learned to use their weapon as it works, and not waiting in 1vs1 standoffs right in the battle. Cover, Tactics, Anticipation, blocks, bumps, own teammates, distractions... those give your turret the strenght you miss and that others seem to have. Rico is considered as one of the guns that is most hard to master in this game. don't expect it to come easy on you.

You seem to have missed the context. It was about a comparism of Freeze to Hammer. And yes, Freeze is easier then. Fire was not an option. According to your prefferences I would skip the Thunder/Mammuth. This is not versatile, no midfielder, no offenseive combination. It is a pure defender or a pretty static "sniper" that bombs tanks in midfield. So stick with two hulls (Wasp, Hunter) and three turrets (Hammer, Twins, Thunder). If you reach M3 ranks in half a year, you can think about a Titan or Mammuth anyways..
-
not for noobs... but it is simply easier.
-
..then you would have to take a look at pricing and unlock-rank as well. The system is based around luring people into buying a nice gear as soon as they face it in battle and feel overpowered by it... ..instead of having them wait a little longer and get the better one. It was especially effective in the past when we had to get everything M0>M1>M2... so the gear parameters are not consitant in parameters, but they are consitantly following a structire, that aims on maximise earnings (or in other words: lure you to spendings that you regret later).
-
You alreay have Isida M1, which is pretty good. If it's ok for you stay with it and save up for an M2 kit (so dont get Piranha). Tornado is available at WO5 = 156.000 exp... so you need to play for aprox. 70 hours until it unlocks for you. It is a very good kit - iiiiff you like railgun and if you like the hornets drifting. Please note that an M2 railgun turns quite faster then your M0 Thunder. Rail has the advantage, that you learn a lot about tactical gamplay by using it. You have to anticipate your targets movements.. also in sections where you can not see it. And as your reload last long, you have to make every shot count. This trains you well, just by using it. Players that use it a lot soon excel in using rail (not just as camping weapon..), and so they become really good players with other weapons as well.
-
As you play a lot CP, I would upgrade your main CP combo. This grants you good income in the future, and so you can later afford all the other stuff you like. So lets focus on CP gear: Twins, Smoky or Titan? -> Take your Turret !!!!!! Reasons in spoiler - warning, a lot of figures :P :P
-
On this Alt (current rank=): only one set of M2s = Mosquito Kit It works out pretty nice.. better then the Hornet/Rail M2 kit.. but of course I had to wait much, much longer. Next step: Medic kit (Isida M3, Isida M3, Cherry) at rank=. So I have to last for about 210.000 xp with this one set.. and then I have my first M3. I will not spend more crystals on M2 stuff.
-
This would be really nice. Unfortunately a lot of players would use this to transfer funds between their own accounts. So players could make better use of their crystal budget (at a sale or for kits). Therefor the transfer of ingame good between tanks is not allowed.
-
I understood, that it shots somehing like Flame-Bombs, that - if they hit a target - keep it burning. Interresting idea, but honestly the burning damage is far to high. You hat to hit targets only one time and even a mammuth would burn down..
-
well.. I (as a Wasp/Rail pilot) am not so effected, as only some paints can really help me (Rail, Thunder and Hammer protection are all I can make use off. Smoky is nice too, but the others are more cruicial). But considering, that the most tanks I see on the non-format battlefield in top ranks are Vikings and Titans then a paint really makes the difference. They have plenty of health, while a high-tier paint makes them up to twice as hard to kill. Thats also where vulcans overpowerness comes from (IMHO). If an enemy Vulcan dares to camp - even if backed up by an Isida - it just takes two railgunners in my team to take em down. The Isida is usually 2shot (up to Viking) and then the Vulcan will overheat.. then just 2 railshots more so the Vulcan is history (6 seconds after the Isida was taken down). But as soon as you consider paints, they become unstoppable on long range (and a clever team will block the close range access points - see high tier battles) So if there would be no paint with more then 30% protection from a single turret no paint with more then 100% total protection (all % summed up < 100%) then the ballance would be much better in this game. Eventually they would also sell more drugs, as the people would need more health kits.
-
Looking at your garage, I would say you simply purchase too much stuff. Focus on less turrets and less hulls.. and plan ahead. And get no cheap paints, except Storm (and only if needed)
-
I think the source of this problem is not the firebird itself, it is the paints. You know, if you rank higher there will be paints with 50% protection against firebird.. and there has to be some power left.. so the turrets are damn strong. In my opinion the balance of the game aims at the necessarity to purchase paints if you rank high enough. You can see this positive (paints add another level of gear-tactics and planning to the game) or negative (Marketing/devs suck crystals out of players by offering overpowered paints and making the turrets alike..)
-
You are accepted. Training times 01:00 - 02:00 am. come on, this is not a clan here !! You posted at the wrong place in the forum :p :p
-
Don't buy drugs.. invest it in your equipment. This lasts.. while drugs just suck out crystals of your pocket
-
yes, definitely !! In those ranks it is a pure crystal and experience generator. And spend MU's into your firebird, although it is just M1. The gap between Fire M1 and Fire M2 is sooo large, that each of those 50 microupgrade steps really gives you something. Especially because of burning damage.
-
so you mean.. like a metal spitting vulcanO ? :) Nice idea :)
-
He want's to switch it off for all in the battle - Today: even if you go to settings and switch off the "show drop locations", you still see the goldbox locations on the battlefield - His request: to hide all locations (supplies and goldbox drops) not via an individual setting, but for _all_ tanks participating in his pro-battle ps: - even if you have supply drop locations not displayed, 80% of all tankers above the leutenand ranks know them by heart. But I think it would be really cool for goldboxes. Although most people will dislike him for this proposal :p
