Oh you are right, thank you for the hint. I'll edit it accordingly - thanks again.

Statistics.. like k/d and crystals/xp? Your account looks like an old alt, that was recently reactivated.. so you for sure have the experience to judge a battle quickly and you for sure also have a prefference for some maps. So for you it should be possible to join a battle, hide in a corner and check it out, if it does not suit you, leave and try the next one. Given your stats you seem to be an experienced tanker that can do the trick. Incinvinient? Yes, for sure. Sorry for that. Tanki explained why they had to run the test on the main servers. As said, the test is soon over.

If you like to keep your chain, then do one mission a day and take the rest off - if this test set's you up that much.

??? I do not "tell him something", I >> asked a question, >> because I am interrested in the answer. And feel free to screenshot a post by me, here in this thread, where I tell a player that his opinion is "stupid" (like you said me to do). Besides if you have troubles with my way to talk feel free to contact the forumAdmin; before we drift offtopic.

This thread grows too fast.. if it would grow slower, you would see that I do not defend it, but I try to stay neutral. I also posted the bad stuff about it and gave a proposal what should be improved. IMHO the aproach to point out certain crap and propose how to make it work, is way more useful then a simply "meeh.. crap.. remove"-post. You could be right about the suicide part, and now guess why such a change is tested for a limited time, instead of introduced "right as is" ;) They know it too. It's a high risk feature that polarizes the players into two groups.. and on top of that it makes the life really uncomfortable for the group that does not like it. But I do not need to tell my devs to get rid of that, as they read here by themselfes ;) If you do not like it, join EN5 and play some pro battles in the meanwhile; or just take a brake for the next 30h, until the test is over.

It was already proposed to take the country of origin into account in the algorithm that matches players. This allows to match them by language. There is no need to split the server system, as this would lead to more inbalance.. except they craft a dynamic split, which would work.

Strange, mine didn't crash a single time. But ok.. it rarely crashes at all. Try the standalone flash player, it works like a charm. Why do you like to pick the server to play in? It does not matter..why does it matter to you? it seems to have a queue that cummulates all players that hit that matchmaking button, and sends them to which server ever is next to host a battle. This also distributes the load: most servers were low, but equally loaded when I checked the load graphs in the server selection (unprecise, but ok for a quick glance) And you can pick the battle mode (DM, CP, CTF, DM). The other things you write about are true, and need real improvement; except for the amount of players on a map. The smaller your teamsize, the more likely you are to play with less players for more time and the more troubles you have if one leaves (and you wait for the next to load the battle). The large amount of players is here on purpose.

One of the worst thing they could do, would be to develop it completely, release it, and never take it back. It is way more clever to work it out, check if it's stable and work as intended as far as they got, and have a time limited test run. Then they simply shut it down again, and improve it with the feedback they got. -- Thanks for the hint on the rank distribution, I did not face that in any of the battles I've been in. I'll give it another try tomorrow.

A long while back I chatted with some friends about the matchmaking, and I told them, that it works great in games like Overwatch, where you have access to many weapons and characters. So you are sent to a map and can have a free pick of your gear. Here in Tanki you can not do this. Some maps are awesome for a certain combo, while others truely benefit the same combo. Either they design some way more balanced maps where all combos have their place to be, or they should display the map you will be sent to while you load it.. so you can reject the load (someone else takes your spot) and you try the next map.

Yeah as I wrote: it does not match players by battle efficiency yet, it takes only the rank. In this one particularly bad battle the problem was that the players - did not play to support their team (Serpuchov - an IsidaHornet spawned infront of my heavily damaged TitanTwins, Turned away from me and went for an attack). - the usage of drugs was very inbalanced (one team drugged way more then the other) But as Hazel said: matchmaking can take a lot of things into account.. but it does not do it yet. In the meanwhile if just takes ranks and that's it. This will improve over time (longterm).

Good things: - battles are pretty well filled. Leaving players get replaced. - load balancing - finallly :D:D:D (the match making distributes it's battles over all servers, the load of each single server is way below the load of the servers I usually play at). - Ranks are ok in most of the cases; but it seems the battle group feature can lead to crazy rank ranges.. - I played about 8 battles today, and even in the "inbalanced" ones, the loosing team did not run out of members. Bad things - Can't chose the map - I can not choose the map - Sends you to the same map (but other battle) even if you left within a few seconds. - Seems not to take players battle efficiency (or alike) into account (yet) (this one team was filled with 80% low skilled players while the other performed great all together (but no friends).. but at least we never ran out of players..) - German transcriptions are very poor and do not sound professional at all. Proposals: - Make the system learn the maps that players dislike (where they run away from withing the first 30sec in 80% of all times you send them there). Make those "more unlikely" for this player - get someone else to make the transcriptions (as well as the vLog transcriptions) - match players by battle efficiency (you know my proposal.. if not, ask).

how do dairy mines look like? Oh wait, I don't wanna know.. :p

You're welcome. Maybe you like to consider the other feedback you earn through out the forum, which makes me think that your way to communicate makes a loooot of players "get it the wrong way". It is like if you play a random free2play game, and everybody lags like crazy to you.. while noone else complains about lags at all. then it's you that lag ;) All the best, BW

That's not the way it works. You have to maintain a certain level of minimum respect in communication to others, even if someone posts something, that is not "relevant to the topic" in your eyes. Saying that a person itself is irrelevant (what you did a couple of times already at different occasions) is actually unacceptable in a respectful communication. I'm aware that such lines should be posted in PM and I tried a few weeks ago already, just finding that your PM ability was shut down already (for a reason as I found out). Then you were banned, and now you seem to like to continue your path towards permanent silence. So please change the way you act here. No. Your idea implies that we do some kind of prioritization here, which is not the case. We collect ideas, offer a podium to discuss them (they almost always become better by the opinions of other people), and we report new ideas to the developers/game designers, who check them. They (and they alone) decide what they do in which priority. Besides, even if the programmers and game designers are very busy now, the graphics department might have spare-time to transform the "destroyed" skin into a purchasable paint by taking care all necessary files are available (paint, thumbnail, a name proposal), which makes it then a rather short task to add it to the garage paints. So "busy" does not mean busy in all departments.

That is one of the biggest changes in the game.. I am truly nosy how this turns out. Good luck - to the coders and the players :p

If I am not mistaken then there is already such an idea (filters..) around here. I'll check that tomorrow

does not load for me..

I would not gain much of a benefit from this idea, as the cathegories will not help me so much. I would rather profit more from an idea, that offers a filter where I can select which protections I like to see (I tick Firebird, Twins and Striker) and it lists me the modules that I own and that I can purchase that fit on those three / that fit close on just two of the selected ones.

thanks for the sale, let's make use of it :)

I wonder what would happen, if they actually do something like that :)
