    I thought so too, but then I realised that this is maybe a flag defense mechanism. sit on the flag, noone able to push you, and you do not need speed anyways.

    The good thing about those abilities, is that they are triggered rarely.. so it could work out as an interresting extension, without not having the same "render tactics useless" effect as supplies do. And I like that the supplies overdrive will not be available for all hulls any more (as I think it tilts the battles too fast). overall, I am curious :)

    the number of turrets or hulls is not so much of a problem.. they can only use one turret at a time, and change each 5 minutes to adapt to protections. Even microupgrades give you an advantage that is about 20% over the average turret of the same M level (varies due to the early/late-unlock of equipment). But supplies give you twice the power.. that is a whole different story.

    The point of a game is to make fun - so much fun that some people start to spend money on it. Even if supplies give more power to those who can afford them, they will be pointless if they are so powerfull that they drive away all others (that do not like to / can not afford it, but are still welcome by the owners of the game). Like noone would make a DP supply that powerfull that a single Rico ball would kill a Tank on DA. If a certain game mechanic does not work towards this target, then it's in the way of reaching that target. Players complain about supplies since ages, especially about the repair kit.. and if you look at the latest updates that concern monetary income (gold boxes, give a daily bonus to premium users to get them into premium; shop based paints, an extra animated paint) we can be lucky that the game maybe(!) can "afford" a reduction of drug based turnover.

  8. I smell a matchmaking system that spans across all servers here.. ..beside the "country selection" in the settings could help out the chat flood too..

    this would even more fuel the feedback loop, that the team that kills more, get's overdrives more often, and therefore kills more, ... and the battles are dominated from that point on.
  10. Topic merged I was told that this is the way some certain gift card providers earn their money (they withhold the rest, as you may only make one purchase). If you have such a gift card provider, then Tanki can not do anything about it.

    Players that used a lot of drugs never had problems, as it was like fighting with an AK47 vs pistols. I am not a fan ov the overdrive myself, but imho the game seems to be more leveled now between buyers and free players. And your argument about "those few bucks" -> if all free players leave the game, you would end up with very, very few battles and face only players that have the same amount of drugs as you do. Are you sure you would like that? anyways I stop talking for now, as I go sleeping. cya around ;)
  13. I also enjoy drug free battles way more, and it's truely sad that the number of decent drug free battles declined after the infamous mission-update. It's always nice to play a ultra low-ranked account here (rank 1..5 maybe) and find a battle with another experienced player on the other team, and just work your way through it; vs the other good guy; without beeing 1shot by some DP user facing a HaHa!-RK user (at least those RK times are over now). imho this drug free battles are the most pure tanki experience. The one, that sucks players in at the first time.. and I bet this game would run decent if the supplies would never been in the game and modules would all end at 25%. Sure I have no idea how to finance it as effective as with supplies today, but the game itself would be much more fun to play.

    IMHO this system leaves a certain advantage for buying druggers over free players (that is what they pay for) but the advantage became less with that update. To me the balance between buying druggers and free players seems better now. But of course the people used to drugs will not like it. btw.. I like to have back my agile Wasp M3 from 2016... many many pleeeease with cream and cherry :) (but I know it is futile :p)

    I am also not saying it is a good idea (I think it is a bad idea) Most likely the thing missing, is that It won't be hard to slow down all animated paints in the whole battle, but it is a different thing to slow down just the animation of one tank while leaving all others untouched. The speed parameter would need to be assigned to each tank individually (and not to the paint in general) and the fire or freeze needs access to it. But anyways, it makes no sense to charge for an effect of a paint, that just comes up when you get hurt and so reminds you of something negative.. It would be something different if you could buy DA packages that light up the side the shot came from (like a detector), or if you could buy a firebird alteration that burns every paint into dark black coal.. those would sell better.

    it feels way more like fighting in pro battles, where people also manage to get flags, without any use of health kits. Sure there is noone that pounds you with DP, but therefore there is a DA supply to counter that. I played a supply CP game today, and it made more fun then before the update (IMHO). The players could help themselfes a bit, but no player was able to stand his ground if he was outnumbered. To me this feels much better.. but of course I played 95% drug free pro battles for about 2 years now.

    let's see how this works out in real battles.. I hope the hints for new players have been adapted as well, because elsewise they will run crazy. The pilots that drive a low ranked alt will use overdrives, while the newbies have no clue about it, as the chat is locked up for low ranks.

    oh that must be because we play a game for ... oh, never mind. If you don't like it, pls do not buy it.. but don't talk the paint bad, for people who like it and are happy to own it. ty ;)
