If I care to buy something that costs 100, I get it for 75; that's 25 less than without the 25% off "gift." 1000 for 750? I spend 250 less. It's plainly simple, and, if you don't like a "sale price," you need not apply. I do not understand your garage versus hall of fame mutterings, but it matters not a whit. Any selection by needs requires conformity to one's style of play. To do that, one needs to discern theirs. I have appealed to Tanki to permit/enable some fashion of resale: auction, trade, partial rebate for owned items or whatever their creative minds might conceive. Two ways exist to "learn" what combination(s) might appeal to a player. Buy all, and test. This can be done at lower, less costly levels, though the learning curve will frustrate. Or, one may learn vicariously by closely observing the characteristics of various combinations used by other players, preferably the good ones, in game play. I note two predominant styles of play. Some are satisfied with the peek 'n' plink methods of sniping from cover. This bores me to tears. Others like me favor hard charging to chase flags and opponents. If one's a sniper, a heavy tank with or without speed serves well. Titan, Dictator and Mammoth example these. Thunder, Ricochet and Rail seem to be preferred for such players. If one likes charging and chasing, speed is life, and weapons that function close in serve better. Viking, Hornet and Dictator qualify, though as with all, they qualify more so at higher (Read costlier) levels up to M3. Weapons serving this style of play include but aren't limited to Isida, Twins, Freeze and even the "lowly" Smoky. I own lots of stuff at lower levels, but my preferred combination remains M3 Dictator and M3 Isida. I've somewhat leveled up others, and they each have their virtues and vices. That's by my lights. Any other player might prefer different combinations. To reiterate, two choices exist: park and pop or rush and run. Two acquisition options exist. Spend generously from your pocket or your earnings in game. Exercise an admirable work ethic earning your way up is the other option. As with most good on line games, development comes either of those ways. If you don't care to enrich the developers or you cannot, exercising a work ethic remains your choice. This frustrates the immature and/or impatient. In the US, acronyms abound. NASA marks one example. TANSTAAFL. suggests a more colloquial one. "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch." ;-) Such working demands persistence and patience. If one has none, get your cash out. My intent in opining on this is to aid the several apparently frustrated folks seeking someone else to make their decisions for them. "What should I buy?" What combination is best?" I've searched the Forum to no avail. When referencing tanks, I understand all the listed variables except one that being "grad/sec." I'm considering upgrading my little hot rod, but at a cost of 14,000 crystals, I'd like to be clear what I'll be getting. I don't understand "grad/sec," and I'd appreciate clarity from one who knows. Also I've noted a new skin, the first that has eye appeal to my taste, but the swatches leave me unclear as to which it is. I'd regret making a 12,000 crystal error. The skin in question is predominately blue and lavender. Advise, please? What is its name? Thank you in advance. MadDog21

To you who made and manage this delightful pastime, many thanks for getting the game back on line! I read the Forum with some regularity, and I note that many players of this free game spend more time whining, wailing and weeping about abundant nonsense including the logical pursuit that you "creators" should seek profit for your efforts. Frankly I think some of your prices speed pass reason, but I acknowledge this is your creation, hence that is your right. Simply I wanted you to know that some to many of we players greatly appreciate what you do and have done. To the weeping, whinny wailers, please note that like any optional conduct you can pass on playing the game. Play at the level earned, spend to increase your assets, or depart. I opine that the Forum ought to exist for information exchange, instruction and camaraderie. Clearly some of us think it's the place to rag 'n' nag "Mommy" for the nonexistent concepts of fairness and welfare. 't ain' so! Play with joy, spend to excess or depart, but at least occasionally let the developers and "workers" know that they are appreciated. Seek logic and reason, Grasshoppers. ;-) The present use of black contrasts with the various skins far better than the "so freaking cool" colored backgrounds of old. It's a logical, well reasoned application of contrast.

Extended discourse regarding how crystal bonuses might be structured provokes smiles. That's naive. The designers of the game sought/seek profit. Giving crystals isn't profitable. Count yourselves fortunate that occasional bonuses offer generous bequests of those. There's another way, the "old fashioned" one. "Earn 'em!"

Okay. This may be a short novel, but I've searched the forum in vain for these curiosities. My style of play is hard charging. I loath sniping despite having just under the top levels of Rail and Thunder as well as al the other weapons excepting the two new ones at that level. I prefer Isida, Twins and Smokey for that close, personal touch. Long distance is for the phone companies. Despite running my preferred configuration of top drawer Isida and Dictator, I note I'm first to burn when up against an equal. Does this relate to K/D ratio? Does K/D Ratio influence the strength of weapons or the endurance of tanks. For example, does a Dictator with Isida outclass an identical D & I if it's K/D ratio is higher? Does K/D ratio influence scoring? I run a .53% ratio. I note that those above me in the rankings are far better, some as high as 2.0. These must be players happy to sit in a "sweet spot" sniping away, a style a find utterly droll and boring. I'd appreciate some clarity on this from those who know rather than those who suppose, guess or opine. Deduction leads to a clarity that something impacts the dynamics of scoring, strength and durability which I've yet to learn. Finally, of late I've noted my Dictator/Isida set-up is failing to function at times. I can expend completely to heal a Mate or lay on an opponent, and nothing happens to their health. I've read of a bug noted in the Forum. I urge an expedient remedy, please. While my set-up isn't the high rent district, it's fairly costly and was the high rent district prior to recent releases. I'd appreciate it preforming as advertised. ;-) Thanks to whomever might teach me. I appreciate the clear efforts the developers and wet-nurses put into this game. Humans are creatures of habit. I confess my habitual humanity. the new system informs less well. The top screen showed distinctly and in larger font, so I knew what I needed to. Now I have to scan far smaller print to my right, hence I miss much. I concur with Mehrdad. Thanks and best wishes.

Nonsense! With the immaturity of far too many this'd simply be a clique with a big club. Getting popped too much by a good player? Kick 'em! Don't like someone's chat? Kick 'em! Get near the end and want the awards to be split less? Kick 'em. Might be a grand idea if one likes tyranny. If not, the notion stinks.

Recently game freezes increase, "fatal errors" show more often and, just now, I finished a game where nobody, not NE player! received any awards at game's conclusion. If you good folks at Tanki are exceeding your server capacity, please don't. Wait till you have suitable equipment for new toys and mods. It's most frustrating to play for nothing but a pastime. I'm investing time at play, and I'm gaining nothing by way of game rewards or "income" due to the afore mentioned situations. Tanki's fun, but not under these circumstances. Thank you. MadDog21

First and foremost, I really enjoy Tanki. Clearly it's becoming a rich rat's game to play at top levels. That's okay; I'm patient and persistent. However of note, I played a few new maps this morning from the US to observe the new toys and orient myself to them and the maps. It's understatement to say the lag was severe. It proved impossible to exercise effective combat. I might engage an opponent who, it turns out, is long gone to another place on the map out of my sight and/or range. Meanwhile another opponent is frying my bacon with me unaware and, hence, unable to defend. I'm fairly ignorant of aspects of server load and capacity, but it might behoove game developers to take care in not exceeding such parameters or upgrading servers to handle the greater demand of changes. This is what we Americans call FYI: for your information. I remain a great fan of the game, enjoying it grandly. Thanks for providing it and doing all you can to keep things most interesting.
