In the western hemisphere, it's 11:07 PM. I've tried to sign in to a match off and on most of the evening. There was an update. There are some new maps. There are changes. I'm wondering hat is the point? The inability to even sign in/on makes all those peachy notions pointless, and I wonder at the Devs and whomever tying to fire up these changes without adequately testing same? I know you're spinning eight to ten plates on six or fewer sticks, but you chose. At the least, folks, make what you offer playable, else let what works stand. Eh? In the Control Points match, 360 degree surveillance is necessary when charging a CP for your team, but the "dot" blocks visibility and capacity to aim at encroaching opponents. Might the "dots' be made opaque so visibility through them is possible, please? Thanks for consideration. MD21

Good grief! I'm, likely, one of the older players by age and time in the game, and I can't believe what I read. You sound like a flock of old crones, whining, railing, moaning and clucking. Life is change, and most of you are far too young to be so habitual and truculent. I admire and respect the evident, immense work done by the Devs to bring Tanki this far. In the short time I was in Iran, it looked sumptuous, beautiful and fine indeed. I'm pretty sure they'll continue work to improve the whole of the game. They have since I've been in it. To balance all the whining and crying, some of you might offer a bit of praise for the work that's been done and the constant effort of Tanki staff who do it. One thing oft overlooked is that Firebird can thaw effects of Freeze making it a potentially valuable support vehicle in some maps. Shame, it is, that,unlike Isida it earns the user no points for thawing which is quite like Isi's healing. Might be a worthy addition. MD21

One problem, perhaps unique to Mac or my ignorance, is the inability to copy the nick requiring key by key transcription of it. Even when I moderated, I was unable to copy nicks in a match. Some nicks are so convoluted in their spelling or expansive in their numerology that it's nearly impossible to manually type those in. When I was a Mod, I banned nicks like "222224444111192391111," and, yes, they and other extended convolutions exist. I contend they make those in that way to frustrate banning and, now, this voting. Yesterday some respected Mates and I engaged in a 50 flag Iran. We were frustrated by two mults with bizarre nicks and several Isi's that did nothing more than tour the map for crystal pick-ups. It was a furious, fun match, and it demanded constant attention to keep pace. Trying to key in nicks for vote simply assured the opposition another flag or three with limited opposition. This update remains a great idea; it will need improvement to work to the conceived hope. I hope it gets that attention, and thanks to the Devs for this effort. MD21

I bought an NS pass with the intent to make such matches. The only match showing in "Create" is 2042. I couldn't select any other. I searched for solutions, learned some about clearing Flash cache and did so. For several minutes, I could create matches. Then it regressed. Repeating followed the same course, so that which I spent on the NS Pass is relatively useless. Furthermore I now discover my chore-born labor in making a block list that blocks ALL profaners, beggars, cheaters, rules scofflaws and unmannerly twerps vanished, and i must begin anew. My list approached 1500, making chat far more tolerable, since Mods can't be everywhere and seem to lack authority to completely remove chronics. I'd start over, but the need to clear the Flash cache continues IF I elect to make a match assures that work would be wasted, hence, till Tanki fixes the create battle issue, I'm stuck reading those I mentioned and their ilk. Furthermore, even at the sale, I squandered 350 crystals for an relatively useless item. Come on, Devs, get on the stick, and fix this elemental feature of your game, please. I'll not beg a refund of 350, but I'll simmer a bit that it was wasted, and I lost my cherished block list. Blessings. MD21

Fellow Tanki enthusiasts: To remove cheaters, hackers and miscreants form Tanki provides a noble intent, but to punish, intentionally or otherwise, fair players is intolerable. Any business, regardless of whom it serves: adults, youngsters, other businesses, or whomever, owes its client base its very best. If less than that, other businesses linger at the gate like hungry wolf-packs waiting for enough mistakes to occur that the wolves may feast on the carcass of the failed business. The net and gaming world moves at light speed, and developers around the world work hard to capture the gaming public. After all, escapism is a roaring philosophy for many. Tanki, you have two rules which may run counter to your nature, culture or ideals, but they apply on a worldwide scale. 1. The customer is always right. Now this one begs further definition. If the customer is completely unreasonable, immature, vile, despicable, even criminal, the rule merits tempering. However, in the main, the rule stands. Violate the rule with good clients, and those clients will go elsewhere, or they'll so diminish their active participation that your dream to make a living from your business will falter, stumble, fall and fail. This is irrefutable fact, not merely an attempt to support an argument in point. 2. If any fashion of adjustment, correction, discipline, if you will, or anything like these becomes necessary for the good of the business, game in this case, and/or the good of the majority of the clientele, such action must successfully address those who create the issues or problems and not the "good" clientele. If efforts at correction unjustly burden fair players, the good clients you hope to keep, you have big, big trouble. Such trouble will drive away those you most wish to keep, and, having suffered or perceiving to have suffered injustice, they won't return, ever. When I moderated, I got to know several Mods and some Administrators, even enjoying Skyping and phone chats with several. Also, in game participation and chat, I've increased my understanding of Russians and your culture. However, having had some issues myself, a posting on some site I never on which I never posted I was suspended, I know that Russian attitudes toward customer service differ markedly from that of American business and, I believe, business in other parts of our world. It takes an intolerably long time to get responses from Help, and the language challenges tend to make dialogue tedious and difficult for folks who don't speak/write Russian. Recently a "friend" of mine, pcjack, another mature fellow of similar age to me, suffered an account suspension. He may be one of the ten most ethical, honorable Tankers in the game. Not only doesn't he cheat, he loathes cheaters; he's nagged Mods incessantly to alert them them to cheaters. I love that sort of nagging. Eventually, his account restored, but he was highly frustrated and extremely disappointed at the treatment he suffered. So was I. Now, in this thread, you see another of what seems to be a growing number of complaints about unjust suspensions. I've not addressed this, because I haven't "known" most of the complainants. I know some of these. While I don't countenance some of their deportment, I rage against profaners; it's a main reason I offered my services as a Mod. I know these are fair players. Further, I don't think one liar exists among them, though I won't swear references for them :) I truly enjoy Tanki despite the several frustrations I experience. The hacker onslaught is one of the most troublesome, and I applaud your efforts to fix this. However I appeal to you not to fix until you can actually fix without damaging honorable Tankers. My hope supports continuation of Tanki; I hope members of your organization make good livings from it. That won't happen if the two previously mentioned rules are served poorly or not at all. The primary reason for the wish to change nicks in the game or in matches is to run from one's reputation. As in life, one builds a reputation. It's far more worthwhile for fellow Tankers to be able to discern the character of players who've assured their reputations are predicated upon rules violating, treason, cheating, multing and various other sins of the game then for the deviants to enjoy enhanced evasion capabilities. Why do you think many of the alleged 9+ million Tankers make a dozen or more accounts? They do it to run from their reputations or babble on one account when they've been banned on their main account again! Tanki's excessively merciful ban system enables far too many wankers to last in the game too along as is. Nick manipulation would merely further that annoyance. What follows is a well reasoned case for vanishing the Gold. It's random at best and manipulated by high ranks at worst. Furthermore the mad rush to mosh for the gold often corrupts the progress of the game. I presume it's offered as a bonus, and benefit, but it fails t serve those goals. A random "shower" of boxes falling simultaneously and vanishing after the first one is picked would give the opportunity to every Tanker in the game. I don't know of the efficacy of that procedure, but it's one wat that could share the opportunity. Surely there must be more. Good post, NB. MD21
