Why would something like a laser have any impact force? Rico is at least explained as being unstable plasma, but technically a laser bolt would pass right through most objects and leave a burning hole in them if Star Wars taught me anything.

I consider basic gamesense and knowing how to rotate a turret the bare minimum for being "skilled". You can be skilled at throwing bread at people, just like you can be skilled in a casual game where it doesn't punish a lack of it.

My idea is less of a turret and more of a deterrent; It's a single radio dish affixed to your tank, and it serves no combat purpose. It can be rotated and a cone of vision will appear in front of it similar to how hitscan weapons work; this cone will begin scanning the enemy and will produce a light on the turret and a small hud notification for the enemy. If scanning is complete, it will transmit that player's location to all teammates as if it were a teammate's healthbar. It can scan a maximum of three players per attempt, and track a maximum of six. If the user is killed, the tracking is lost. If the enemy is killed, the tracking is lost. Multiple users cannot attribute above the maximum limit of tracked players, making one per team enough. Thoughts?

Magnum comes down to luck, memorization, and map placement. That's it. The enemy can try taking a flanking route through an area that's covered by me while I'm distracted with a turret with high impact force, but I can still kill them. I can defend myself. That turret, which should be a counter by all rights, is nothing. I am the counter to HIS entire strategy. That's not balanced, that's overpowered.

I can get down with this, most of my shots are direct hits anyways. A thousand damage per direct hit would make it similar to Shaft.

I've been having fun with Wasp-Magnum recently, it's basically a highly mobile Thunder with DD. Perfect for aiding in any offense, and if you know when to fold em you can live to help the next wave. It's also small enough to be harder to hit with Shaft when behind cover, and the only counter I've found is another Magnum or being ambushed.

If you want to pocket somebody, you don't have to dry hump their backs to do it. Most Isidas don't realize the amount of range they have can be taken advantage of to protect themselves and the person they're healing.

Don't pass over convenience stores. Cheap candy is always a win.

Don't worry guys, it can't get random crits so it's balanced. That's how it works in TF2, right?
-
True, but against a mounted offensive against it? In my limited experience, I can fend off two Hornets at most before attrition wins.

What's with all the tryhards and the Russian-sounding names? K_u_t_v_c_h-2017PRO or I_v_a_n-xaxaxaxa

People who haven't seen the amateur magnums out there who know only three elevations and charge percentages. It's a diverse turret, yes, and it can be VERY OP in the right hands. I've yet to see anyone use it like it's intended to be used at my rank, all of the other Magnums I've encountered use the oh-so-effective tactic of Taliban suicide bombing at zero degrees. That exact tactic is the way it's OP, it can be used like any other turret only better. If it were unable to go below, say, fifteen degrees, then it would fly over everything but a Dictator even with Viking. In that way, they can be approached easily by trying to throw them off. The charge will keep going up, and they'll have to abandon that shot because it won't hit you. Then you can strike. In my opinion, in order to balance Magnum we need to remove it's most OP ability; It's ability to defend itself from enemy attacks. This will make it a much more team-oriented turret like Shaft, where it can be tucked away inside of the spawn area to support the offensive and attack incoming enemies, but can't be used within a certain range.

That's between two walls. All the while the hamster running in a wheel inside the Mammoth has a heart attack. -

But that forces it into just camping, where Titan can take part in a charge by firing at incoming enemies and then wallhug inside of the enemy base. Mammoth would be stuck at wherever it spawned. -
I'll let you know once I get to WO2, get M1 for free, and keep upgrading.

There are two things in this wide world that legitimately make me want to commit mass murder; Bureaucracy, and incompetence.

"Why aren't you playing in a way that gives me the advantage!? REEEEEEEE!"

Two minutes with a hacksaw will save you four with a shovel.

M2 Hornet/Wasp and Railgun, and a Pro pass.

Nothing brings out the zest for life in a person quite like the thought of impending death.

I once hit a Wasp on Polygon CTF that had jumped up a ramp towards our flag over it and onto my minefield, then returned it. I think that was my best moment as Magnum.

I miniature one is easy, tape a lighter near a can of Aerosol and enjoy it until you lose an arm and burn yourself from the ensuing potential explosion.

Magnum: Forecast, slower reload times and charging time in exchange for firing a shell that splits into multiple smaller shells with the explosion radius of a Thunder shot. Higher charge/angles mean more dispersion of the AOE. Cannot go below 20 degrees. Perfect for attacking the defenders!
