    It didn't quite work out. I started a new Recruit account; I was only able to play last night, but I did get to Master Corporal. Hopefully for Christmas they'll have one of those missions where you have to win a battle every day to get a sum of Tankoins?

    Apart from my main which entered on day one, I have six accounts that will be entered into the fund, seven if I feel like grinding one to Staff Sergeant. I'm not worried about the fund and I'm actually very interested to see how quickly it'll grow with all of these people getting free coins.

In one of the video messages, they literally said that the current Challenge would be finished for everyone, meaning that the express purpose of these stars are to be a ticket for everyone to get the full rewards, no matter their position. I think that's a pretty good reward, since weekly missions don't give as many stars as they used to and I've been able to complete the challenge on seven accounts, when I only played on one. Someone I know irl doesn't play Tanki anymore and he was able to get it on three.

    I keep track and log kill/death/total hour values on certain player profiles, and some of them have experienced decreases in some/all of these values. Most of the time, reductions are partial and they can be anywhere from a few hundred to several thousand for kills/deaths, but this account is an extreme case, having had everything reset to zero.

  6. I've noticed that if you haven't completed the Trick-or-Treat missions, some of them will autocomplete. It'll either be all of the missions, or only the one requiring 999 Stars. This wasn't announced so idk if the autocompletion itself is a bug, or just the single mission.

  9. I see what you're saying, but the appearance in the garage =/= in-game. This is a screenshot I took in 2014 and stuff's pretty pixelated.
  10. Info is sparse. It's been on and off for a few months and started up again a few days ago. People are having trouble logging in and playing the game, but it really depends on when you play. The players who have issues play around peak time, while on the other hand I've been perfectly fine (aside from maybe slightly higher ping) and I play right after the server restart.
  11. Repair Kits provide status immunity and cleansing for just under a second. If you get, say, APed, you can just clear that away with a Repair Kit. Since the status immunity made a few Overdrives useless against competent players, Hunter’s OD can now instakill light hulls of equal or lower upgrade level, Hopper’s OD does the same but also for medium hulls, and Crusader’s OD does 4000 damage at the epicenter of the shot and 1000 damage on enemies affected by splash. New turret: Scorpion. It’s basically an anti-camper tool. You can lock on to enemies behind walls but the enemy has to be out in the open to initiate it. The sniper mode is basically useless at short ranges unless you use Swarm (an augment that was in the Tanki Fund a few months ago). The biggest annoyance is the impact force for arcade shots imo. People say it’s OP and while it’s strong, Tesla was way worse on release and Scorpion’s really not that bad if you know how to counter it. Hammer is the current meta. It’s ridiculously easy to do full damage now, and then they buffed the max damage. Megagolds are brown/gold Gold Boxes that are only available during events. They give 10,000 crystals. Thunder is the second meta turret, but you need certain legendary augments. Vacuum Shells was also in the Tanki Fund from a few months ago. It has your typical base Thunder damage on direct shots, but if you miss and hit an enemy with splash damage, the damage is increased drastically. Very annoying to face. The second augment is Hyperspeed Shells. It’s only ever been in Ultra Containers as an Exotic reward, but it’s an inverse Sledgehammer rounds. The damage isn’t good at short range, but it increases the farther the bullet travels.

  14. I don't really care. They're fine most of the time since I play Control Points 99% of the time and I usually kill enemies at a bit of a range with RRE Striker. The time they bug me most often though is when I use my Crusader's overdrive and I have to figure out a way to actually hit APed enemies and not a tank corpse.
  15. Totally agree with you that the game was just as difficult to compete in (if not more so) back in the earlier days I'm probably a bit late but back in the day, you could buy crystals in bulk. If you were a free player, you were at the mercy of battles and only battles in order to earn crystals. Battle rewards were also heavily skewed in favor of the winning team, to the point that if your team got NO flags, your team would get no crystals at all. The battle list was actually a problem when it comes to this (though people look back at it fondly). Players would prefer to join the winning team and hesitate to join a losing team, meaning that battles would never get even. Since battles didn't cycle through with factory efficiency like they do now, you could spend a while getting slaughtered and collecting exp for a small (if not nonexistent) sum of crystals.
  16. If I had to guess, it's probably an alt account that belongs to a developer (or the account could just belong to a special person, similar to sidlob). You'd have to get into the game really early in order to have a one-character name.

  18. It's happened to me. The site is treating you as logged in when you really aren't. Click exit (bottom left) and you'll be able to log in again. The site will work after that.
  19. Haven’t experienced this bug (I don’t use Vulcan anymore) but I have encountered something similar with Tesla. While setting up a minefield with Saboteur, I was bored out of my skull (thanks, Mine special missions) so I started shooting at the corner of a barrier nonstop. Eventually I randomly self-destructed and lost all of my Mines (so I played normally after that)

Hornet is an underrated hull so I personally don’t see Scout Radar use all too often, but it’s nice to know where most enemies are clustered so I can either 1) safely get to where I want to go (whether a flag or a point that can be easily capped without opposition) or 2) find enemies and get kills. I don’t remember when I started using the minimap radar but it’s an amazing feature, and one I use all the time. It really reduces the amount of times you get surprise deaths (sometimes Overdrives get in the way, but /shrug) Low-visibility maps with lots of obstacles/buildings will of course get more use out of the radar, but it’s really always useful in the enemy base or more neutral territory with a lot of enemies (I think there’s a slight delay where you can see enemies right before they spawn?)

    Some profiles don't work. If you search a username, it says "Service temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." as opposed to when a profile is just hidden and it says "Profile not found. Please check if the entered nickname is correct." While I originally thought it had to do with the Ultra Weekend (this bug happened one time in the past), it's very inconsistent and I don't know what triggers it.
  23. Visual Disruptor: Already owned. It’s one of my faves so I’ll sadly have to shelve it and find a new paint to use (a lot of people’ll be running around with it for a while). 60 hours (4th overall) and 700k exp is a good amount though. Vaporizer (Incendiary Twins): Don’t have it. Won’t use it (CRYOTRON MY BELOVED) but it’s always nice to make the Legendary pool smaller. Plasma Disruptor (Jammer Twins): Don’t have it, not available in Containers or Ultras, so this augment alone makes the BP worth buying. I love Jammer augments so I’m genuinely excited. Incendiary Shells (Scorpion): Don’t have it, idc tbh. If nothing else, at least it won’t take up space in the reward pool. Shaft Legacy: Already have it. Good skin though. Pretty mixed Challenge but I’m buying it. Jammer Twins is the clear main attraction.
  24. In these battles, are there a lot of projectile-based turrets? I've found that turrets like Twins, Scorpion (if there are multiple campers), and especially Vulcan (I call it the lag gun) can bring down the FPS a bit with how many projectiles are used.
