What a great day to be a Hunter main.

Whoa, the old Alien paint really takes me back. I wish they'd bring it back in some form; I really liked how much red the paint had. Red Smoke is kinda close, but not really. I remember getting crystals from the Battle of the Consultants event back in 2012 (it was kinda like modern-day Wars/eSport events, where you if you bought the right paint you'd get a prize). I ended up buying the right paint and got some crystals, some of which I used to buy the Alien paint. I think it had already been changed to its current, mostly-black version by that point? I genuinely don't remember.

What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?

Reminds me of this one time several years ago when I randomly saw an irl friend in a battle (He was one of the people who introduced me to this game, and this was in the days of the battle list and when the friend system wasn't a thing yet). I was on my alt and I tried to tell him that it was me, but I couldn't because I was banned from the chat for flooding. -
The only tactical advantage that Rubberized Rounds could possibly have is to cause minor FPS drops with the amount of projectiles going all over the place, but said FPS drops really aren't that bad unless there are a ton of them around.

My thoughts exactly.

Remote Rocket Explosives/Dictator is a lovely combo, I use it a lot. Hornet is also great with Striker so that's definitely a good route. I see you have Brutus, how is it doing on upgrades? A well-upgraded drone is worth its weight in gold; you'll have a massive boost in supply power allowing you to dominate. I have a maxed-out Brutus on my alt and it has a great K/D without camping. Striker/Paladin doesn't have a ton of synergy with the Overdrive like melee turrets would, but Striker is so potent that you're really not going to suffer at all. I think your best bet is to buy Hornet. Mammoth is okay but I don't really have a particular affinity towards it with Striker.

This is more regarding the game's economy as opposed to the game's balance, but there's no thread for the game's economy and it's just the balance for currency so I'd say it's allowed here. --- You know you're living in bizarro world when almost half of the players in a battle have all four protection module slots, but only one person has Premium. It makes me wonder if Premium becoming very inaccessible is the reason the game's economy is super bad right now, and realize how Premium was instrumental for helping players (especially new ones) succeed.

On the fence about this Battle Pass. Might skip it, especially since I doubt there will be any Special Missions for Battle Pass owners until early April for April Fools. Thunder Legacy: Don't have it. Easy way to make progress towards completing my skin collection since Ultras are so inconsistent. If I used Thunder, it would be my skin of choice (I don't have Ultra yet), since I always use Legacy/Prime if I have the option. Liana paint: Don't have it. Don't care at all about it. AP Gauss: Already have it.

I was indifferent to 15 minute battles, but now they're just incredibly boring. Most battles leave me waiting for the whole thing to be over when there's about a third of the time left. 10 minutes should have been the maximum limit. -
You do realize that the advertised 10% chance is for a general Epic reward, right? Each individual item or item category has its own probability but it's very hazy. There are definitely gripes to be had with the Container system, but this isn't it. (for example, they say that getting a Common reward from an Ultra Container has the same chance as an Exotic one, but I've gotten three Commons and only one Exotic since the update I mean DOWNdate)

What's this? I'm not seeing anything about it in the original announcement, is it a recurring mission?
-
Finished the Special Missions last night. 100,000 crystals isn't that bad of a reward, but I'm still bitter over how that used to be 300,000. Not to mention the fact that Hunter Ultra continues to elude me. ._.

Not too thrilled by the way the delay-before-battle-start thing was implemented. I was still autofilled into most of the battles, but for the ones I was in since the beginning, it was really easy to get an upper hand. All you have to do in CP is just camp on an inactive point and then kill enemies. When the points become ready, you'll capture it very quickly. At least with the old system you had people racing towards the point at the same time, causing skirmishes. A delay before the battle begins is definitely something that's needed, but the process should've been something like this: Players load in until their tank appears in its translucent state. You're unable to move, and your tank never becomes solid (meaning you can't shoot or take damage) Once everyone is loaded in, a countdown begins which lasts 3-5 seconds, after which the battle begins. After the countdown ends, the battle timer begins at 15:00, you're finally able to move, and your tank becomes solid.

It could've been Magnetron or any of the 15 animated paints that I don't have but would definitely use, but the RNG said "LMAO NO"

That one event had Legacy skins auto-equipped because it was commemorating the discontinuation of Adobe Flash (hence the event was all about remembering the history of the game). There isn't really any reason to have that now. And another thing, I think people should have the ability to equip whatever skins they want, because someone could prefer XT/Prime/Ultra skins. (I, for one, will most likely be using Railgun Ultra/Hornet Prime*. Partly for showing off, and partly because Prime/Ultra is my favorite skin series.) * = I don't have Hornet Ultra, sadly.

Nobody plays MM for stars, now that the bulk of them are earned from Missions. I don’t even keep track of how many I earn after a battle or how many Stars I earn in a Challenge were from battles. Labeling something as teamwork or not teamwork is so arbitrary because most things you can do in this game are productive in some way. You could hit an enemy one time and then die, but that would mean they are either forced to use a Repair Kit (meaning they can’t use another one for a while) or continue with their power reduced (I don’t mean damage, but rather they will die more quickly than if the first encounter never happened.) on the flip side of “productivity” a Wasp could play thhe objective, making mad dashes to the flag, sometimes taking it a few feet but dying every time. That leaves you with by far more deaths than kills and the enemy team treats it like water off a duck’s back. Is it teamwork? Maybe, maybe not. Is it productive? Probably not. Is it playing the objective? Yes.

Finished the special missions last night. They were pretty easy which I think is the right way to do it because more casual players are able to finish them, and people spend less time restricted to modes/equipment that they dislike/aren't used to/is underleveled.

I'm liking the new loading screen. Not only does everything look clean, but the text and loading bar are smaller and less intrusive. Removing the giant logo in the middle of the screen was a good idea, now you can fully appreciate the special backgrounds for events without it in the way. (Remember the Day of the Dead background?) I also like how the loading animation has a smooth loop now.

The new font makes my two accounts' names (Okami and 0kami) look almost identical. The only difference is the capital O being one pixel wider than the zero.

I totally agree. I also noticed that they're doing new promo art for each year's event and not recycling them. This was the one for 2021:

YouTuber battle Containers: 49 ordinary, 5 Ultra Summary:

I didn't get the Freeze SE skin or the bonus Containers, but I'm not upset. I'll still get a good amount of Containers and we keep the paints (Taspens' paint looks great, and Jumper's paint has a pretty ugly color)

That couldn't happen, the enemy team reached 7 points which would automatically finish the battle. I don't think the score/time balance is really a valid point to be made here in all honesty. It's just too ambiguous, the other team could have been really coordinated and gone full speed ahead to every single point, capturing them in near-record time or they could have had a lot of resistance and barely captured the last one with seconds to spare. The latter one is definitely not the case since the losing team was really just a team of three with how much the bottom three players died compared to how much they killed. The bottom three players have fewer combined kills than the (single) person with the third-most kills, and more deaths than the rest of the team combined.

I honestly have no idea if it's useful or not. I have it at 45% and it's definitely useful when a turret with normal critical damage uses Supercharge against me, but it normally just protects against a select few hits. It really just depends on your luck and how many turrets are on the enemy team, but either way it won't slow things down that much.

Made yet another player ragequit. He was a Hopper going after a Container, but I was able to deal a critical hit when I blew up a rocket in midair: (I used RRE Striker/Dictator/Booster) I ended up getting it, though it took a little bit of time for the system to wake up and acknowledge that I took it:
