A change that wasn't mentioned in the patch: Legendary Firebird augments were added to Containers. AP, Jammer, and Stun Firebird are in the pool on my main account but EMP is also there on my alt.

My current theory as to the rapid growth of the fund is this: There are some holdouts who waited until the new Battle Pass to make a decision whether to use the Tankoins from the Token of Apology on the Fund or the Battle Pass. Since the Battle Pass was really only interesting to a niche group of Smoky users, Titan users, or item collectors (like myself) and the Fund has massive potential right now, people opted to go for the Fund. There’s also a second subset of players who are currently inflating the fund: buyers who want an extra module slot/Armadillo/Crisis on their alt account(s) without having to pay 5000 Tankoins for the last module slot and open hundreds of Ultra Containers to get Armadillo and Crisis. For example, I bought the mini bundle so I could get Ultra Containers and the last module slot on my alt. 990 Tankoins is frankly a drop in the bucket for big buyers. I only had to buy a 400 Tankoin pack on my alt, but there are alt accounts that people have that have been sitting dormant with a decent stockpile of Tankoins that were all for free. (Remember that Special Mission that gave 2022 Tankoins back around Christmas/New Year’s Day?) Who knows how many of these accounts exist.

Opened 41 Ultra Containers from the Token of Apology and the second wave of Special Missions. Only got one Legendary but it's one of my dream paints and one that I've been wanting for AGES so I see this as a win.

Disagree tbh, AP Gauss is the inferior one because of Repair Kits’ status cleansing. I get good results with EMP Gauss/Crusader/Hyperion but it probably helps that strafing and mouse control makes aiming easier.

I doubt Crisis will get a nerf. Not everyone is going to use it so it won’t affect battles a ton. It’s very expensive and incredibly supply-hungry so most people can’t afford to maintain it, even if they manage to scrounge up 990 TK for the fund. Then there are the people who don’t want to use Crisis or who won’t use it a lot (like me)

I’ll admit that I had thought of that, but I’m not sure. It doesn’t seem like a perfect fit to me but I could be wrong.

In the garage on the PC version, one of the tabs has a small blurb off to the side that ends with “You know what they say about hammers and problems.” I can’t think of any saying off the top of my head that involves those things. Could it be a Russian saying?

Got Gauss Ultra. Looks pretty good, and it made me actually use Gauss for more than one battle for the first time in a while. Hoping for Hunter Ultra eventually, but I'm not expecting anything. The way I see it, Ultra skins almost seem too rare for how cheap Battle Passes are.

For sure. The writing is on the wall for Helios, it won't be the #1 augment for much longer with how it's being given in this Tanki Fund and how Hyperspeed Shells have just been released and is quite powerful.

Wasn’t expecting an Ultra Skin to come from a Challenge, but it’s a welcome change. I have my fingers crossed (loosely as I doubt they’d continue giving away Ultra skins for only 700 TK) for Hunter Ultra.

On Saturday, I bought the medium bundle for the eSports Fund. Container rewards: eSport Paints: Overall a pretty nice purchase, especially taking the Tanki Fund prizes into account.

I didn't have any expectations for this second go-around, but I (allegedly) got one day of Premium on my two accounts. No sign of it yet.

If they really wanted the fund to go up like crazy, they should have made the mini bundle multi-use. People would be more able and willing to buy multiple of this bundle versus the medium one, making it a win-win for everyone involved in the fund. At least they cut down on the number of additional module slots. Last time it was excessive and just plain useless, since a new player could get up to the third slot for half the price of June’s mini bundle. I’m surprised they didn’t have two Skin Containers again this time. It was a huge motivator last month, so I’m surprised they didn’t capitalize on it again. Devs get money, players get skins. No change to the balance and everyone goes home happy.

Of course they put a paint I've been wanting for a long time in an otherwise useless BP. I would've skipped, but...

Where on earth are you getting 9 from? You get 12 Ultra Containers for both supermissions.

Didn’t get anything good from the Containers and Ultra Containers, but the Skin Containers gave me Hopper XT and Paladin XT. Would’ve preferred an Ultra skin (coughHuntercough) but still pretty good since those are both HD, and I now have XTs for every hover hull.

And have you ever used it? I try to be strategic with it by mining points in CP but it's really hard to actually get a good minefield quickly enough. Then an enemy with spawn protection and Trickster/Crisis can just ignore the whole thing, or an enemy using literally anything that isn't a melee turret just kills me. The ridiculously long warmup time for the outer mines makes it basically useless when you're actually in imminent danger (it's basically an expensive Brutus once a battle has already begun), and even a tiny bit of hesitation allows someone to just drive in the gaps, hitting only two mines tops.

This is completely false. Buyers were still very prevalent, and the imbalance between paying and free players was a lot larger with how battle rewards HEAVILY favored the winners (to the point where if a team got no flags captured, the players would get zero crystals) and the main thing to spend money on was crystals, unlike Ultra Containers which are more indirect with cosmetics diluting the pool.
