Seriously? The drug squads come out in force. Players jump for speed, double armor and damage like gold boxes. One can still play, but battles aren't as good as normal game play. I also think that the majority of players would rather NOT have the star thing at all at any time since the majority of players may get one container or maybe two unlike the vast minority of overachieving players that get 1000 stars and still keep going and going. Personally I wish the star thing would completely disappear, or have the tier levels dropped to where the majority of players would enjoy Star Hunt...similar to the War, which was the very best event Tanki has ever had because of the high reward to effort ratio..

While I agree with 99% of what he says, I strongly disagree with his rather grim conclusion. The brainwashing he is talking about has been going on pretty much forever. In the 60s and 70s radio inundated you with whatever the days current pop bubble gum piece was which the record machine was flogging at the time. Every pop/rock station, while still independent, thwanged you with the top 10 constantly...sometime you would hear the number 1 song two or three times in an hour! Burning a groove to death is nothing new and it is certainly how much of the beloved trove of old dino rock got ingrained into our nostalgic conscientiousness. He goes on to talk about how most talented musicians will never be signed by a record label. This is also something that is not new in the industry and is actually an industry cliche...the mediocre rise to the top while the gifted and creative must be satisfied with the creation alone...art for art's sake. He actually says, qoute: "Music as an art form is dying. It's being replaced by music which is a disposable product designed to sell but not to inspire. So we shouldn't be so complacent in allowing systematic, cold, factory produced music to dominate, or else".....blah, blah, blah In every decade since the 50s, it has always been this way. I know, I was there...bubble gum music...chew it up, spit it out. The Music has never died...it got kinda sick in the early 90s and hiphopped in the early 00s, but it has NEVER BEEN STRONGER than now. There is currently a revolution going on in pop music...a creative explosion that the world has never been witness to. Access to magic equipment and wizard programs are easy to acquire for anyone with even a modicum of desire. This revolution in how we create music goes hand in hand with how we now listen to music....enter YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, I-Tunes, etc. We have the choice to listen to whatever we wish whenever we wish unlike in past decades where you got what was on the radio...period...unless you put in a lot of effort to find "underground music". With these new listening venues musicians have a FREE way of getting exposure for their tunes...flippin' FREE!...and they don't even have to spend their nights in smoky bars or being forced to play music they don't like just to pay the bills. Get enough listeners and you start to make money, maybe even a record deal. And if you don't hit it big, you still get to have your creations heard and this is the real pay off anyway. Because of these two factors, easier access to music processing for everyone and access to exposure venues, pop music is going nuts by comparison to previous decades. The creative juices are squirting out all over the 10s culture..and everywhere in the world. (Another factor in the rise of pop quotient...much larger worldwide audience...with a much larger population) We are getting tons more high quality, diverse, and creative music than ever before...by a friggin' mile! We are currently in the most dynamic time for music in the entire history of the world...any decade, any century, any epoch (that history is aware of). And I personally believe that we are only on the doorstep to this new musical revolution. It is going to get so easy to access tech-magical programs that anyone that hums a tune will be able to bring into being and orchestrate whatever pops into their heads. You favorite music may very well be your own music. The possibilities are mind boggling and if you don't have melodies bouncing around in your own head there will be literally millions of people that will love for you to listen to theirs. The future (and now) is so bright for pop, it's gotta wear shades.

Steely Dan, my favorite band of all time...by far. Any song, any album. The music is so tight it is seemless. Walter Becker, half of the Dan, passed on last year. Fagen continues to perform and seems to be having a good time in his elder years. Their likes will never be seen again...true greats of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tT0D1K8quV4 live version The Dukes of September (a contemporary grandpa version live)

Randy Newman, another one of those very underrated poet/songsmiths. He has made quite a few humorous songs (this offering is not one of the funny variety) and that tends to be the kiss off death in pop music. If you are a "click through" listener, make sure you hit the chorus at 1:26. The entire intro builds to this massive climatic hook. There is 2nd chorus at 2:31 that adds strings in the build up. A very dramatic and catchy pop piece with poignant and evocative lyrics.

I like the original in all it's natural 60s campyness better :) France Gall, one of the "It Girls" of the 60's, pased over earlier this year. My fave song of hers, Ella Elle L'a:

First off this is just for fun. I do actually kinda grasp reality...most of the time, well, some of the time. There is no way to enter Nirvana for the mere mortal Tanker. But, if Nirvana were to descend from on high, AP/TO could still sell crystals, probably lots of them for MUs which would be the whale/small buyers advantage over the Freebees. They could sell paints, customizable paints and skins and make them a big exclusive status thing. They could sell merch (I want a Viking/Twins coffee cup with my name emblazoned in gold). They could hold pay or invitation (win and invite) only events. They could sell gold boxes, and clan licences...and pro-passes. What if Tanki were more fun and they had 120,000 players instead of 20K-25K? Maybe that number might generate revenue....but hey, I admittedly have a sometimes shaky grasp on reality :) Cheers :)

Great new paint...good job! Now it need to get animated....maybe the eyes opening and x-ing, or the tongue going in and out. Maybe jut having face appear randomly :)

Imagine a Tanki where there were no supplies other than drops, no OverDrive, no drones, no kits, and daily missions for crystals or gold boxes only. Before discounting this Tanki pipe-dream out of hand, contemplate it for a moment and what it would actually mean if no one had any supplies and could only pick up drops. No ODs or drones. No kits that unlock turrets an hulls for the rich. Daily missions only rewarding crystals or rarely gold boxes. Containers would have paints, skins, small amounts of crystals or a gold box, pro-passes, and clan licences. And as long as I'm dreaming, get rid of the toxic MatchMaking too and let us have choice of map and opponents.

This is exactly correct. It is obvious that Tanki is not trying to actually balance turrets. They are trying to sell the latest OP turret, micro-upgrades, and protection modules with MUs. Sure, many players will spend crystals they have gotten in the game for free, but the whale or even small cash buyers jump on whichever the OP turret Tanki created with an update. Balance has nothing to do with it, they are re-balancing to suit their needs, not ours. Buff, nerf, buff, nerf. around, and around. Imagine how much cash they bring in when every whale out there buys enough crystals to MU10 with all speed-ups Smoky and Smoky Protection...Freeze and Freeze protection...Firebird and Firebird protection. The supply drop change isn't to help the game, it is to make players use up their own supply of drugs quicker. The fewer supply drops will cause even more pressure in the game from box missions because there will be one entire set of supply boxes missing from each 9.5 minute game...the very 1st set of supplies will drop with only 7 1/2 minutes left in the game. Some drop later so it might be that a battle might only see 3 drops of a particular supply. Start popping those supplies from your garage so you can buy more from Tanki.

Today I awoke from a dream of bass clarinets, a mysterious musician mentor, Dua Lipa, and this song...go figure. This is a very atmospheric piece and probably won't translate well with the mondo YouTube compression, but what can one expect for free? You know I saw her in a dream. There was China, in her eyes, In a silk and velvet disguise, Another world of people, dancin' in rhyme, Dance in the air, six-fingered webbed, Fair as the air. She is the storm bringer, yeh. full lyrics

I woke up with a slight case of the mid 90's...these songs have helped, but I'm still feeling the effects. Garbage - Androgyny Edwyn Collins - A girl like you Dancehall Crashers - Shelly Paula Cole-Where have all the cowboys gone Every Morning - Sugar Ray

Rising Appalachia Rising Appalachia - "Fall On My Knees" (Live on eTown) RISING APPALACHIA - Step up, speak out.

I had my favorite paint, Vertigo, installed on my tank when I opened 38 containers I had from the War and weekly mission rewards. I got six paints in the containers. I tried on Tentacles when I was finished opening all the containers. I thought it was funny and went to change back to my favorite paint, Vertigo, but it has disappeared from my garage. if there is a limit to the number of paints you can have that is fine, but I want the Vertigo paint back. Take away other paints, but not the one I use all the time since I got it in a container a few weeks ago. I tried logging out and back in, joining a battle, but nothing brought my paint back. This happened about 20 minutes ago, about 4:10pm on Sept 1 my local time. These are the paints that came in the containers: Tentacles, Paisley Flame, Alien, Pixel Heart, Columbia, Picasso. You can take Paisley Flame, Alien, Pixel Heart, Columbia, Picasso back, but I want my Vertigo paint back. I want my Vertigo paint back. On my profile it shows I have played 464 hours. If you add all my paint times, it only comes to 459.8 hours. I believe that the missing 4.2 hours is the time I wore the Vertigo paint. If you add the mode time it comes out to 464.4 hours also; turret 464.6; hull 464.7 individual times profile screen shot I really want my Vertigo paint back.

Wow, what a great write up! Thank you for taking the time and effort to do post this. Many of your points are spot-on. My main comment is kind of a sad one though. While problems with TO are obvious and completely annoying, we reinforce the poor decisions of the devs every time we log in. We vote "It's OK with me..continue your onslaught" with every log in. The only effective criticism of the devs direction for Tanki is to stop playing. I don't want to stop playing because I still like the game even though it is only a shadow of what it once was. I think many players probably feel the same way. We hate the crap the devs do and have done to the game, but the only choice is to grind your teeth and continue playing. When MM started, I predicted 18,000 to 20,000 players at peak times by Mid-August. My prediction was wrong. Part of the reason that hasn't happened is all the events and promotions Tanki has been having; The War especially gave TO a big boost in player numbers. And it seems that the players that got drawn in by the special promotions have come to terms with MM even though they may not like it. While player numbers are static, the devs will never re-think their poor decisions because, based on numbers, they aren't poor decisions. Another way to vote is by sending in cash. I would NEVER send Tanki any money...why is that you ask? You never know when your purchase will become worthless because of some update. I want what I pay for...period. Unfortunately, I have a sick feeling that Tanki's incessant push for more revenue is probably working and I subjectively feel that players are shoveling in more money now than ever. If this is true, there is no possible hope for real improvement in the game.

Over an hour trying to get into a DM battle to complete a mission and just no luck getting in. I can get into battles with the "Quick Battle" but have spent and hour trying fo a DM. Granted this is just before restart, but that is when I can play in my time zone. There are 4000 people on line right now and it is very hard to believe that MM can't find a DM match. Their is no reason to have to wait an hour to pplay a game. I'm the for doing so, but I keep thinking I will get in in the next minute or so. What a complete waste of time. MM sucks SOOOOO bad. I almost always have to use my choice to click away and DM. Why is it almost impossible to get into a DM match underr the abusive MisMatchMaking ? I'm sick of having to work around MM, why don't you guys admit you made a mistake and fix your bloody game?

This is true. What I don't get is in good marketing you want to be different and then show everyone why being different is better. i don't get Tanki strategy at all. The chat whell is a good idea though even if it is copied.

Valid Battle option for restricting certain equipment

I've always wanted a Twins vs Twins brawl :) -
Some are too fast. i have animated Prodigy and it moves so quick I can't use it. It would be a nice paint if it were slowed down to about 1/3 If these are gif, why not have two or three different speed gifs...easy. If they are gif, it should be easy to just plug in the different gif into the code in place of the one installed already. This might be something else to sell in the shop for cash and something else to sell for crystals in the garage under alterations but for paints. Probably way too much humbug when the devs are so busy fouling up the game with pointless updates, nerfs, and buffs.

Category Ideas for extra information to add in the Tab score table
ByeByeBye replied to BlackWasp777 in Ideas and Suggestions
Micro Upgrade level of the equipment players have — @jdc20181 This would be very handy on the tab menu or even in the players profile....tab would be the best. -
This is a good idea. Even just getting into chat would be acceptable, but just sitting waiting is annoying...especially with that irritating "average waiting time" utter and complete LIE glaring at you.

valid UTC+local time info for news panel topics
ByeByeBye replied to Aunty_Entity in Ideas and Suggestions
If changing the lobby is too difficult, put a UTC clock and UTC date on the front page where you initially click "Play" to bring up the login dialog box. That has to be very easy to implement. This is an idea that really needs to get passed to the devs and implemented asap. -
No rewards, but it might help promote the social aspect of Tanki that MM has completely taken away. There are no new friends any more and no way to make them.
