This is Cat Stevens first-ish musical offering as Yusuf Islam. This was released around 2006. It has a great transition/build to the chorus between 0:45 and 1:08; a tasty instrumental downturn bridge at 1:37 to the full chorus at 1:56. The song continues as a layering build-up, complete with the backup chics, to 3:58 where it hits a velvet brick wall transition into a very evocative acoustic outro. Cat Stevens was superstar of the late 60s early 70s then disappeared into Islam for decades...musically tragic. Who knows what kind of wonderful music he might have created...at least he found himself I guess. I always felt the same kind of loss you feel when an artist dies and you know their future music will never come into existence. At least we hear from him again even though all of his new stuff is either blatantly religious or has heavy religious overtones. Much of it is a re-hash of his old stuff at best or is bland and insipid at worst. This one song shines and reminds me of the old Cat. It is a re-hash of a song from his Foreigner album but this re-do is much better. Recently he has started to sing his older catalog again, but he's an old guy now and just can't pull off the intensity of his original offerings. Resurfacing after 30 years in the 00's, he got inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame in 2014...a testimony to how dynamic his music once was.

Please fix the "My Content" section from our profile menu. It got stuck sometime last February and now only shows the current days posts. Yesterday or the previous weeks posts do not show...only today and pre-February posts are available. It makes it very difficult to follow a thread without this feature...especially when the thread is moving fast. I know this has been mentioned before, but it would be nice to remind the "fixers" to get on it again...please?

It's too bad the war will end tomorrow. I wonder if Tanki thought it would resolve so quickly. I was under the impression that they thought it might run a couple of weeks or more, not just ten days. It was nice having some sort of motivation to play again. MM has soured Tanki for me but this war helped me to get back into the swing of things.

JT is probably my favorite male singer/writer/musician. If you haven't listened to very much JT other than Fire and Rain, please hit some James Taylor videos. They knew...it's marketing. They have sold tons of Freezes and all the MUs to go with them and tons of protection modules and their respective MUs. By the amount of Freezes out there, the Freeze buff had to put a lot of real cash into the system. In a month or maybe two something else will get a buff,...my bet is Striker since almost no one uses it or has protection from it. Freeze may even get a nerf so they can buff it again later. The thing to do is go with the program...when they buff a turret of hull, buy it asap and MU it up because it will be the beast for X amount of time. We are prisoners to their program if we wish to compete. MatchMaking has shown us that choice and the benevolent days of old Tanki are finished. It is now very aggressive marketing by any means possible.

I've been playing this game all day long and I have very little to show for my time. All the stars I collected were pointless. I'm sick of having to wait and wait to be thrown into mismatched battles in the last few minutes. I counted eight battles in a row where I was the lowest or second to the lowest rank. It's almost impossible to get a score of 100 in the few minutes being outranked by 7, 8 and 9 levels...M2 vs M4 is just not right...over and over and over. It took me more than an hour to get one stinking star with the queue, then a few minutes of a mismatched battle. I can't help my faction, hell I can't even get enough stars for 3 containers! I want to have fun not work playing a stupid game. Tanki you have screwed this game up so badly...this matchmaking is an utter failure regardless whether people put up with it or not. MM has sucked all the fun out of 75% of every battle.

Calm gentle people. Remember who we are dealing with. These are the same developers that think MM is a good idea and that removing all choice from the game is a good thing. Is it really surprising that they fouled up War 2 so badly? ...And who knows what is yet to come. Sigh

Turn 1 was a disaster. Turn 4 was and is a disaster. Turn 5 is going to be a disaster...shortened and war site kinda working maybe sorta. That is a majority of the turns fouled-up which is not fair for anyone. Rather than trying to band-aid the thing, and since The War is in it's beginning stages without anyone too invested, why not just start the whole kit and caboodle over again from day one?

Stumbled upon this...I like it. It has a great earworm hook. :) I am reminded of a late 70s sound...can we say Disco!...yep, I can see the Studio 54 set grooving on the dance floor to this one. The more I listen to this the more I like it. I put it on loop and it doesn't get stale...there are lots of changes in it. This is a very well crafted piece. I'm putting it in my monthly rotation. It was a lucky find for me :) This has become my official background music for "The War"

It's great that they widened the levels to earn stars...vry good for everyone and it makes staying in the game more attractive even if you are losing. BUT...The criteria for "active in battle" needs to be adjusted also. It looks like it is a score of 100 and this SOUNDS reasonable, but many times MM tosses you into a hopeless situation where half the battle is finished and you are the lowest rank. It is bad enough to get chopped up like a salsa mix, but to add insult to injury if you stick it out, you probably won't get any stars. Sure six or seven kills sounds easy, but there are times, like when you are the ONLY M2 against all M3s and M4s, that you just can't kill seven tanks. What the up shot of this is is that EVERYONE bails from the losing team even faster than before the war. I came in 4th place on the losing team and got no stars...4th...because my score was terrible. If MM worked properly and actually matched players, it would be fine. But while MM insists on tossing you into meat grinder battles half finished or more against players 7, 8, 10 ranks above you, the bar needs to be lowered for stars or there is absolutely no reason to EVER endure a partial battle.

This is a great improvement. I think another improvement (maybe next war) would be to keep the bonus reward column for Premium, etc and replace the K/D column instead. Now, it seems like the reward system is all fouled up since everything is just a total. K/D means nothing anyway and could even be roughed out in the players head if they really cared. I see scores all over the place and it seems to me that some of these tallies just couldn't be from Premium or other bonuses.
