At it again with the blinding colors but ANYWAYS. A moderator is not allowed to ban whom they want whenever they want. It's abuse of power, which is reason to have your moderator rights taken away and you banned for a very long time. And they don't get paid for doing so. Are police officers paid a bonus for every person they arrest? No. So should moderators get paid for banning people? No. Moderators are not paid with real money. Only the Community Manager, Nives, is. From what I remember, moderators are paid in crystal bonuses. You should probably stop making assumptions. My simple suggestion to you, in all politeness, is to hang back and just watch what unfolds within Tanki. It isn't your concern how the mods do their job, you can't tell them or the devs what to do. Just sit back and relax as you watch the forums. Maybe you could take after my example. Only add input when input is felt to be legitimately needed, not when you want. Adding input when you want is only going to cause issues and get bans. Trust me, I would know.

Collect proof from their Facebook and skype groups if possible and report them. What they're doing is technically a rules violation in some form or another, most likely falling under the power leveling category.

Wheeeeeeee I've had a wonderful meal by feasting on the salty tears of you noobs but now down to the serious stuff. The Unified Battle List. Many of you are complaining the unified battle list was a mistake. I respectfully disagree. Here's why. It removed useless features that could have been potentially producing lag and was creating issues and crashes. It made finding a battle significantly faster due to every battle available being visible in the battle list. It created a true use for the battle filter. Too long did it sit un-used because too few battles were present in a server for it to be useful. It makes the lives of the Battle Moderators easier, as they do not need to traverse through 24 different servers searching for players to bring the Ban Hammer of Justice upon. Unified Chat Channels. A useless but welcome feature, as it gave Tanki a reason to lower the chat unlock rank for low rank tankers so that they can use active battle chat and the Rookie Only chat. It also makes things easier on the moderators, as they don't have to spread themselves so thin across 24 different chat servers and instead focus their full efforts on 4 chat servers, technically 2 if you disclude the extraneous channels. Now, on to busting the most common complaint in my opinion so far on this thread: Long wait times for the matchmaking system. My short answer? Don't use it. The long answer? The matchmaking system works by attempting to find a battle best suited to your rank bracket, starting by taking your base rank (For example, mine, 3rd Lnt) and expanding the bracket one rank up and down until finding a match that is best suited for you (This means it will try to make you the middle man in terms of rank). Naturally, this means that players of the ranks Legend and Recruit have the fastest matchmaking times. Why? Because these two ranks have no ranks higher or lower than them, respectively. This means the matchmaker is forced to match Legends with only other Legends and lower ranks, and Recruits with only other recruits and higher. A question someone will undoubtedly ask will be "Well how do I find a match that I want to join that won't uprank me?" This is simple. When looking at the battle list, simply select a battle and look at the map thumbnail. In the bottom left hand corner of that thumbnail will be a bar of ranks that represent the ranks that can join that battle. In my case, we will say that I want to fight a match of CTF. I don't want to be fighting M2s on a regular basis, so I want to be top rank. This means that I can look at the rank bracket of a match to see if 3rd Lnt is the highest or second highest rank in a match. This makes my life easy for a few reasons. Players won't have powerful protections from my main turrets, Thunder and Shaft. Players will be noobier, and less experienced, making get kills easier and fast. Matches will be easier to stay in 1st place, allowing for quick completion of missions. So now you all see my point of view, despite it being a rant.

A 5 rank bracket with your current rank marked as the middle would be awesome. It reduces the number of noob buyers on my team, and reduces the number of M2s I see on a regular basis. It does make it slightly hard to grind though because you can't just join a match where you're top shot and just seal club low ranks. But that's a minor price to pay for seeing less M2s and M2+s

One that will never be implemented. It would just add another excuse for players to mult and create private Fire/Wasp only rooms.- 2,759 replies

Just report them. It's a violation of game rules because it's Sabotage/Obstruction of Team.

I honestly don't know what to tell you, Golfinray. While things like lag switches can have a minute difference in gameplay, due to most of the in-game actions being circuited server-side and therefore preventing more extreme hacks such as infinite HP or infinite "phantom mode" (The phase during respawn where your tank is completely invincible and can be driven through), most of the time, bizarre in-game phenomena can be dumbed down to lag between client and server and lag between players. The short of it is that a player who lives in NA for example, will have a much harder time hitting a player from Eastern Europe, but the player from Eastern Europe will a slightly easier time hitting the NA player. This creates inconsistencies in the game's processing of what was a "legal" hit and a "miss". Railgun's tracer is a perfect example to show delay. If you've ever seen a Railgun tracer "penetrate" a wall or ramp prop, this is caused by lag on the server and between players. What you may see on your screen isn't necessarily what the enemy player sees. He may be 15 meters away instead of 10. If that made any sense whatsoever that should help explain. Basically, like I said, there's no "damage" or HP hacks. Just good ol' friendly neighbourhood lag.

The sprites are clearly different in-game. I should also add that Smoky M3 has 3 muzzle brake vents and so does Magnum so meh.
-
As ThirdOnion said, Riddler, you don't need to have your internet drop out to have lag. It could be low RAM on your computer, or maybe your FlashPlayer Cache has too much stored memory and it's causing your device to lag because it can't process all the data fast enough. There's an endless number of causes to lag and it's impossible to fix them all or to permanently remove lag from TO. ;~;

Hm... Favorite combos? Probably Shaft/Hunter and Thunder/Hunter. Hunter is a good all round hull and the M1s (What I have) boast the best armor of the M1 hulls and the ability to drift and rock. This makes it an invaluable hull for me no matter the situation. As for Shaft, if my play time with it doesn't tell you why I main it, the only reason I can really give are these two words: Boom, headshot! And Thunder is a good midfielder turret. The M1 has a nippy reload and a big punch to match. It spooks off enemies and shocks campers to run in terror of the Thunder/Hunter blitzing their flank.

Actually not so. It lacks overheat and impact, key features of Vulcan. Therefore, it would be very different from Vulcan. I'm guessing it would also have a WAYYY firing time (M0 Vulcan is 4 sec to overheat, so this would likely be 2, with a 4sec reload.)
-
I'm pulling M4 stats off the wiki, just a fair warning, Range of Max Dmg: 60 (meters) Range of Min Dmg: 70 (meters) So I was actually WAY off. I think I was thinking of short range DpS turrets instead of Hammer. Anyways. If the range was doubled to 120-140m, using Slugger, it would basically have the stats of a REALLY fat and unreliable Smoky... What TO needs for Hammer is an alt that turns the 9 pellet spread into a single slug at the cost of reload. Kinda like what you said, actually. 2x range, 50% impact, and a 20% longer reload between shots. It would make Hammer practical. And it would be an M2 alt to avoid redundant use of the Slugger alt at the same time.
-
Solution: Get better internet <_<
-
Went back and I think he meant this: Reload between shots: +20% Reload of Clip: +100%. So no, it wouldn't take forever to kill anything. And also, as someone who plays Autoloaders in WoT, a clip reload that long would make me nice and cozy using Hammer. And again, I said SHORT range Thunder. You'd need to be insane to attack anybody from any range farther than 15 meters (3 Hornets' length for the plebs).
-
There are no hacks that increase the physical damage of turrets or your hulls' HP. This is because this information is stored in TO's servers. The only true hacks that exist and that work are jump, speed, and infini-reload hacks.

You've really thought this out. Kudos to you. Yes, a turret with ranged healing capabilities able to heal an M4 Mammoth at M3 would be insanely helpful, but as you said it would specialize in single target healing. However, another good theory in terms of making it effective would be to have a Mammoth/Isida trailing behind the main ally force as a Shafsida (Shaft/Isida in one word. Weird I know, but saves space) heals the Mammy/Isida. This makes it so that the Shafsida can use both its firing modes on a regular basis, one while defending the Mammy, and the other repairing damage dealt to it.
-
TL;DR. If a ranged healing turret were added my only request for the healing per shot be three quarters the damage a Shaft of similar modification deals, I.E. a stock M0 Shaft deals 1.5k damage a shot, so this turret would deal roughly 1,125 healing damage at stock M0, while its damage at range against enemies would be half that of a similar modification Shaft, which is 750 at stock M0. Just a little bit of a balancing tip. Also, DD would effect the healing the same as normal, which means it can heal up to 2,250 HP at stock M0, which is the full HP of a stock M1 heavy hull. This figure is also the same amount of healing an M4 of this turret would deal without DD. :D

2min afk timer is still a thing. And this counts likes the garage so it would start as soon as you open the chat.
-
This should be made a permanent feature. Just hit a hotkey and pull up the main chat while in a battle to respond to PMs and stuff. Makes life for mods really easy.

Thank ye, kind sir, for clarifying further for me that railgun is in fact a ballistic weapon...

Dayum you two give stupid kids a whole new definition lmfao. Also, stale memes are stale.

What even is that? A tank assault rifle? -
Some people would argue Shaft is in fact a plasma rifle and Railgun is a ballistic weapon. I mean, in real life a railgun or guass rifle fires a solid tungsten/nickel/steel projectile at speeds exceeding Mach 1 (Meaning Railgun should actually have an instant hitscan but we'll let that bit slide).
