Maybe a glitch then. FYI - if you don't have a viking don't bother with DM - I'd say 75% of the tanks were vikings spamming rapid-fire shots. The OD charges up way, way too fast. It's like playing a game of Mario-Kart. Guess I'll be swapping out all my DM missions from now on.

lol -entered a DM battle with Trooper Drone equipped. My first spawn - I died before the drone could give me my free supplies. That's just awesome!!! :blink:

"Might have to"? :o What are you waiting for? A hero cookie? There's no bonus for not using supplies. They don't "want" drugging to be the norm at all ranks. It already IS the norm. Suck it up buttercup and use 'em.

Well your target is not gonna sit there while you pepper it with those pea-shooter pellets. Takes much longer to make a kill. The target will be out of sight or kill-stolen long before the Vulcan gets close to overheating. The extra time is moot. I stand by my assessment - the alteration is garbage and not worth the crystals at all.

Not sure why Devs have such a hard time getting it right - unless they do this on purpose to frustrate us. And the comments from CM in original announcement were quite vague and made no sense. If this was the best alternative, I'd hate to see the rejected ones... On a side note... with all the nerfs to the vulcan damage, if you see an Incendiary band vulcan on other team, you are way better off equipping fire module if you have to choose between fire & vulcan. -
You can still use garage supplies in conjunction with the ODs though. I'd say twins is not optimal with hornet. Higher-damage turrets like rail would likely get more out of that OD - kill from afar. Never said it was an offence. Just curious as to why the change of heart.

The Vulcan alteration? I always felt it was deadly. if you did not have max fire protection you did not last long at all. -

+1% to +5% bonus to damage dealt and armor. -
But how much difference could the old OD make in each battle? You get them 1x, maybe 2x in a 7 minute battle. hardly anyone shared the OD - they saved it for Gold-drops. Hold on - you change your mine since post # 92?

What I suggested for magnum when it first came out. An artillery piece should dig in spades and "plant" itself before being able to lob the indirect fire shots. A-la the "Seige Tank" from starcraft.

Well - what did you struggle with? And twins may now no longer be the "best" turret for your overdrive. You no longer get SB & DA & DD for free.

They want players to MU the drones. 1%=stock. 2%=5 MUs. 3%=10 MUs 4%=15 MUs and 5% = fully MU-ed drone. $$$ OH... and equip more often... so that uses up more batteries too. Source? -
How so? You should be able to one-shot any light and medium hulls with anything that does similar damage to Rail (with DD).

How did you "self twice" if the radius is not that big? Did you stop to admire it?

Once Vulcan starts to overheat, damage it does to targets is reduced by 70%.

SO... a game of chicken then... Is it immune to ALL damage - even it's own overheating as a Vulcan?

You mean stock? or a Vulcan with Incendiary Band alteration? TO implemented the most ridiculous solution to afterburn - nerfing ALL Vulcan's? Stock Vulcan was far from OP. It wasn't even OP before they changed the spin-up 5 months ago - they made it worse. So now any Vulcan (regardless of alteration) does 70% less damage? Not balanced at all. Devs were too lazy to come up with a proper solution. -

Shooting Speed Regulator still has a 20% damage nerf - it's garbage. You won't kill tanks until you start to overheat. Then add a nother 70% damage nerf. It's not worth it. Where does Tanki mention this "20%"? -
Viking is not stable. Any turret with impact throws it around like a rag doll and it easily flips during movement on any uneven terrain. You see lots of Vikings because many players bought Viking before the "rebalance" 2 years ago and had upgraded it. Many don't have the crystals to just replace a medium hull with another medium hull. I'm finally at the point where I bought a Hunter (to go along with my m3 18/20 Viking) and have slowly upgraded it to 10/20. This is stupid. So nothing can stop mammoth and if it is sitting on a flag even a Hunter can't negate it... In what way did they make Vulcan stronger? When afterburn starts it has a 70% damage nerf. How is that stronger?
