So after reading your rebuttal - it sounds like you want the maps you like added to MM... <_< Contrary to your opinion, not all turrets are suitable to small maps. Anything with long reload or bad rotation or splash damage will be at a disadvantage on small maps. The short-range turrets are on them faster and then it's game over. So Vulcan, Thunder, Magnum, Striker, Shaft and even rail will not do as well on small maps. I've taken Titan-Ricco and Hunter-Freeze into Massacre DM and come out in top-3 spots a number of times. Not all the time - but you can do well if you choose Modules properly. I agree on one note - Parma is not a good map for MM. In some ways though it is similar to Camp - one you want added. At lot of long-range turrets thrive on those maps. Parma should be replaced with death-Track or Skylark. I've had fun on those maps. ;)

Vulcan would be terrible in most of your suggested maps. The spin-up and spin-down kills it on small maps where enemies are on them in 3-4 seconds. Or maps that have almost no open spaces. Most of the maps you want to replace have lots of cover in addition to some open spaces. Noise is THE WORST map in terms of balance. I would exit every single time if placed on blue.

Half the battles end in < 7 minutes due to lowered victory conditions. Much harder to finish some missions or even qualify for 1 star. Have seen battles end where half the losing team got ZERO stars because battle ended quickly. Should be min 1 star if you stay to end of battle - else more and more players will just exit. Then only top 3-4 players on even winning team will get decent scores - cant score if there is no-one to kill. When they lowered the victory conditions the Devs failed to consider many games will cause mission problems. The mission parameters need to be lowered. Have many instances where it take 2-4 attempts at 40-45 seconds apiece to get into a match. Even then, one team starts with more players than the other team and caps flags during the unbalance. Frankly it was easier with the Battle List. At least I could see if there were battles in the mode I needed. If not, search for diff mode.

For Smoky? Auto-cannon or Incendiary. IMO Incendiary is actually OP.
-
Mammoth Vulcan + Isida = 2 tanks. If two enemies keep taking out that static isida, it might be forced to change it's game-plan. A little communication can go a long way in the game. And the re-balance has backfired in a number of ways. More and more Isida-trains using that healing alt. Or isida players like me who barely use it due to lack of flexibility...

Well - they can only unlock 1 extra m-level. You can't go beyond m1 10/10 until m2 is unlocked. For some turrets not a huge deal, but for some like smoky m1-->m2 it is, because smoky m2 OP due to the late-unlock. Store kits certainly are not helping... they unlock 2 ranks earlier than garage kits - which already unlock early. What's to stop a player in Tanki-X from buying tons of blueprints at low level and then upgrading to full Tier-3 Modules?
-
This! Smoky autocannon increases rate of fire but lowers damage... and lowers impact - by a LOT
-
Might be referring to some that are just using it for attack now - as that is more efficient and... more than likely gets you more stars. Since the "re-balance" I've barely used mine. Mostly Smoky and Ricco.
-
Many (most battles?) are not even lasting the 7 minutes. The OverDrive mission is just brutal. On a side note... only 2 stars for finishing 3rd in DM? Team battles give 3 players 3 stars correct?

Sandal would be ok - IF THERE WEREN'T 16 TANKS. It's just a stupid mosh-pit. Talk about boring... kill-die-spawn-die-spawn-kill-die-spwn... etc, etc, ... yaaawwnnn
-
You should be able to do that in one day right? Two tops...
-
Sandhal - 16 tanks on that map???
-
Gorgo was responding to someone talking about "keeping your distance". It's a fine line as it can easily lose to turrets like fire. but can't outrange twins or hammer (unless you use MFS)
-
Avoid any maps that don't have right-angled walls - negates one of Riccos biggest advantages. Massacre is obvious. Wolfenstein does not have a lot of great bounce areas - many of the walls are angled. Kunger is meh for Ricco - has some buildings, but is quite large. Same with Alexandrovich.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

What are they supposed to do? Let the batteries rot while others do get an advantage by using them? Once they are here there's no going back. Just like supplies. You can take the high road and not use them - but - not the smart way to go since most of your enemies will be using them and pounding you into dust. You won't last long versus many turrets now once they equip DD. I caved and bought a couple of the cheaper drones, since I have accumulated > 2000 batteries. That's equivalent of 600k crystals according to the over-priced valuation - can't have that gaining dust. So I equip the Trooper drone for DM missions - keeps you alive long enough to spawn and get oriented. I get decent results in DM with Titan-Ricco and the drone equipped.

Critical chance for smoky is 1-in-5 (20%) at best - the highest m-level. Less than 20% down at m0, m1, m2... Does less damage than Thunder but fires more often - similar DPS - just different style. You mention no self-damage. That also comes with no splash damage. Every Thunder could have the same thing by buying the alteration. But guess what - they don't. Because being able to do splash damage far outweighs the times you will damage yourself. Now one thing you did not mention was the smoky incendiary alteration. THAT is OP. Does more damage overall than cristical, and requires two different modules to protect against.
-
And... you are not forced to have any protections. Our point is a player brings in one turret and enemies need two modules. And then u have 1 empty slot. So now you have NO protections against more turrets. So what is your point?

Anyone else getting into battles where your team just instantly loses?
wolverine848 replied to DeathIsImminent in Archive
Actually - if your team is being wrecked in Pro-battles, you won't get a very good reward from battle fund. Pro-battle division of battle funds was not updated like match-maker battles were. Having said that - the battles are more fun. -
How many battles since the battle lengths have been reduced? With many battles ending in < 7 minutes it's often possible to get 1 just OD per battle.
-
You will not be fine with m1 twins and m1 viking. They will be too weak and you will struggle to complete any missions that require crystals or score, and your reward from battle-fund will be minimal. So yes - you will be wrecked. M3 kit for 132k? Or you already have a lot of crystals and 132k is all you need to top it off? Get the m2 equipment by 1) Mu-ing currrent equipment or 2) buying hull & turret during a sale or 3) buy a kit if available. Since it takes a while to rank up, you can slowly MU your current equipment while also saving for an m3 set as well. One problem with kits... they are often not in garage when you want them.
-
I think smoky is even stronger than Vulcan that way because smoky does not need to over heat to deal the incendiary damage. Sure the instant damage is not as good as critical, but over next few seconds it actually does more damage than critical. And no self-damage.
-
Just like you should just equip Fire module to resist those pesky firebirds? ;) And as mentioned - requires two protection slots.
-
So you want it to do splash damage + mines for a miss? That's two types of damage - one of which 90% of the players are not protected against. A few "misses" near enemies flag will result in a lot of damage and/or kills...

Fought a team with 4 isidas in a ctf battle. They lost badly. Having no range (or attack for that matter) did them in.
