    Wasn't part of my "calculations". Viking user... enables OD, then uses DD or DA. Might also have a supply drop nearby. Might. Dictator uses OD and gets DD + DA + SB (plus mine). Also gives all this to any team-mates nearby. Which is better? Impossible to predict until we see exactly how Viking OD impacts each turret, and how long it lasts.

    Increased ROF + DD + (possible DA from pickup) versus DD + DA + SB (plus... add to any any friends nearby) Not sure we can tell which is better before seeing in action.

    Vulcan does not have energy - endless supply of bullets. Perhaps the overheating is delayed? So Ricco obviously has higher rate of fire (according to video). But it will also have endless energy pool? So it's DPS would increase AND it can do more total damage for the duration. Wonder how long that overdrive lasts. And what the ROF is - seems to be ~ +100% (on re-loaders).

    Daily's can get bad too. Imagine getting 3 daily missions simultaneously - complete 7 battles - each for a different battle mode. Switch one and it asks you to finish top-3 winning team 2 times. Good luck finishing that in one day. :blink:

    cough"countrypaints"cough. "there are players that actually collect these paints". :lol: Like two? They are keeping those ridiculous paints in there for the two or three "collectors"? At least let us organize our garages so that crap can be relegated to area I don't have to see...

    How would Vulcan even work? has no re-load. Has no "energy pool". It can keep shooting so long as it does not die from overheating. And Ricco... has small re-load, but also has energy pool. Seemed to fire faster in video - but... will run out of shots quickly. Is that energy replaced more quickly?

    Vulcan not nearly as good before you have access to m3 fire module and m3 heavy hull. My alt has it at m2+ and can't really use the alteration - I just keep dying even with my m2 fire module equipped. Many players don't have the crystals to keep switching to the "turret of the month" or the new alterations that don't go on sale. Until you are a Legend, it is not easy to manage more than a couple of combos and a grouping of modules. And yes - from magnum all I see is that ridiculous mortar alteration - mines everywhere - which do more damage than a direct hit from un-nerfed magnum. It's actually better for the Magnum to miss. And encountering those mines in no-supply battles :angry:
  9. Batteries last 1 minute each. battles are 8 minutes. So at most you would use 8 batteries per battle ;) Spending upwards of 1M crystals to MU a drone you will use in moderation seems... ... extravagant. I may visit the Miner drone as I like the idea of mines that don't disappear when I die. They will eventually get in kills. But I hate buying and MU-ing items that never go on sale. Will have to weigh that against some of the new alterations.
  10. Just finished a bunch of no-supply battles using of all things... Striker. But why handi-cap yourself in Match-Maker. And if playing team battles, why handi-cap your team?

  13. I enjoyed using it immensely Yes it was quite potent. But I don't think a 50% DPS cut is the answer - it's too much. But by same token - it should not get 50% vampirism either. 20% to 30% range with some DPS reduction might work out ok.
  14. Then it would be useless, since vampirism is dependent on damage dealt. And if you are not injured, you give up 50% on your attack for nothing. Another Isida alteration that no one will buy. Only useful alteration I've seen with significant damage nerf (25% or more) is the Magnum Mortor. It can have 4 mines going at all times, and the mines do more damage than a direct magnum hit.

    All they need to do is tweak the daily mission difficulty down a bit, and either remove the top-3 winner mission, or allow top-2 on loser to qualify. Playing like it's Star-week is not sustainable. I have no interest in playing 1.5 hrs per day per account. There a ppl who will do that - so allowing them up to 10? containers will give them way too much advantage over casuals. Still no mention of the blue containers that give the crystals and supplies?

    Yup - there's nothing like coming in 1st or 2nd ... repeatedly on the losing team. Actually.. coming in 1-3 in a tie battle is worse. :angry:
  17. Before removing vampirism entirely they should have tried it at 25% or 30%, instead of the ridiculous 10% - which made the turret useless. Doubt they add it back, but maybe at 25% with a DPS nerf that does not cripple it - since - vampirism depends on damage dealt. My suggestion for an actual useful Isida alt is to trade off DPS for a larger energy pool - one that allows isida to do more total damage but take longer to deal that damage. So not quite as useful in killing medium or light hulls, but has the ability to take down heavy hulls that also have damage reduction. Makes sense that a larger object would shield another behind it. Firebirds and Freeze can damage multiple enemies - but they have to move around targets and be able to turn their turret.

    Devs have no clue how to apply small changes to improve things. They use a Sledgehammer when a ball-peen is needed. Case in point... Isida. It had 50% vampirism - for quite some time - and they finally decided it was too powerful. So instead of cutting that by 20% or 25% or even 30%, they reduced it to 10% and made it useless. As no one used isida at that point they introduced an alteration that doubled the vampirsim from 10% to 20% But this alteration came with a 50% nerf to damage. Since vampirism depends on damage dealt... <_< And then there's the Vulcan fiasco ThirdOnion mentioned. Just 2 of many examples. They make change upon change upon change without waiting for a baseline. Then there's the changes that were desperately needed and... nothing from Devs. Examples... Striker (so weak no one used it) and Magnum (so OP there were many in every battle).

  21. So you use a drone and have the new Striker alteration equipped? And you have multiple m3 turrets (I counted 5 in your garage - maybe it was 4?) and hulls at marshall You currently have Premium - possibly from container - hard to tell. No - that is not a typical Marshall set-up. Especially getting any/more than one combo to 10/20 or better. You have spent way more crystals on your garage than 80% of the players would at that rank. The crystals spent will certainly make a difference in battle standings. Sure everyone uses supplies in match-maker battles. Drones... nope. I saw maybe 2 or 3 drones on enemies in your videos. Upgrading the drone and batteries is cost-prohibitive for anyone lower than Legend. How can you afford the drone upgrades and the batteries? You do not get enough free batteries to use a drone. Even my legend account does not - it has accumulated ~ 1200 batteries since they were introduced. That might last a week. maybe 2. Then... drone will sit in garage for months. Yes, your 2 videos demonstrate your point much better than the previous one. I am still shocked by the number of enemies who don't turn their turret. Striker does not need much change... possibly a half second buff on the salvo time (along with small damage nerf per missile), and some kind of vertical auto-aim.
  22. I never suggested you should use single rockets on that target. I was just astounded at that players (lack of) reaction when you pointed the laser. I wish all my enemies reacted that way. Again - not saying you can't do it. Just that video was poor evidence as the competition was obviously sub-par. The reference to splash was only intended to clear up how weak that viking was... a splash hit + direct hit killed it. I assume your Striker is beyond stock m3 as you are sporting a drone - which most at that rank can't afford. As well as 3 m3 hulls, 5 m3 turrets and 5 m3 modules? You obviously don't have standard Marshall equipment.

    Can't be 1/4... of 8 = 2 players... 2nd place and 3rd place could kick 1st place out of battle with 1 minute to go? Would have to be more like 3 or 4 players to prevent mis-use.

    Yeah - it was lazy programming from the start - making those two mutually inclusive. If they had done it properly they could have isolated the impact from one on the other. Instead, they ruined Vulcan. Tried to tell us "you just have to learn how to use it differently". BS - there's no changing the fact that on small maps enemies can close on you before the barrels spin up - everyone uses SB so distances mean almost nothing. And so they introduce an alteration that does not even bring the spin-up back to pre-change stats. You still take longer to spin up with a net loss in damage.

    For whatever reason, Devs treat our complaints & suggestions as the "minority" of tankers, and bow to the wishes of the majority. My question is - if the "majority" of players are not on the forum - how are they communicating their "wishes" to the Devs? And if they can't be bothered to come onto the forum, why are they granted more "weight"?
