    Ideas for Missions!

If you don't have good teammates, then that means there is a higher chance of you coming in the top 2 spots of your team (that is losing), since (I assume that) you are a pro player. Encouraging defeat is not something someone would want. You'd want to win, not lose. So encouraging winning (being on the winning team) is the way to go. Sure, it spices up the difficulty because you can't control your teamamtes' actions, but encouraging losing could potentially encourage trolls/players that sabotage their team in order to complete a mission. Putting that mission would be encouraging players to break the rules of the game. To keep the difficulty of the mission high (because that is undoubtedly the most difficult mission), reduce the places you need in the team to the Top 2. And if you think it over, it's for the best, as now, 2 players from each team are benefitting while currently, only 3 players from one team is benefitting.

With that speed, you'd have to aim well.

Been a victim of this too many times. I was actually going to talk about this a few days in the future.

    Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

What'll be its Overdrive? (assuming you had any ideas for it) Just imagine it with a "Scout" Railgun constantly shooting and circle strafing an enemy. I'd stop battling to actually watch how that unfolds.

Yeah but what about that Vulcan protection part? Are you talking fully protecting yourself from enemy Vulcans or fully protecting yourself from yourself?

When you're only allowed to not do 1 mission to not miss out on 3 Weekly containers and that third regular container, sometimes, you just have to keep trying.

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

Yeah, I was imagining it with that. Back when Maf posted that picture saying how great "DH"C is with the Booster Drone, I wondered how it would do with Hornet's Overdrive. Since it has the same damage range as Railgun, it may be hard to one-shot medium hulls if they are at full Hp.

I like to play Rugby. I have the most fun there as it is competitive and requires teammwork and/or quick thinking.

Woah, that's faster than the Juggernaut. Makes sense if it's super lightweight.

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

I just keep thinking it over in my head about how "Death Herald" Compulsator disregards what an alteration is supposed to be like - not an upgrade. M4 Stock Railgun reloads a projectile in 2.6 seconds. M4 "DH" Compulsator Railgun reloads a projectile in 2.6 seconds. So they have the same reload time, which goes against common sense for a turret that allows itself to instantly reload when meeting a criterion. Then we have the delay: M4 Stock Railgun has a shot delay of 1.1 seconds. M4 "DH" Compulsator Railgun has a shot delay of 1.21 seconds. So in total: Stock Railgun: 3.7 seconds "DH" C Railgun: 3.81 seconds. Just looking at that, it's a blatant upgrade. A spit in the face for Stock Railgun actually. You may call Round Destabilisation or LCR a spit in the face for Stock Railgun, but "DH"Compulsator is the closest to Stock Railgun, which makes its dominance over Stock even worse than the others. It's such a spit in the face for Stock Railgun because there is no reason to use Stock Railgun over "DH" Compulsator Railgun. It got buffed in its first and only change. instead of increasing the reload (which would set the gap bigger), they moved it to the shot delay, which is a smaller number, which results in a smaller gap between the two and making "DH"C more of a better pick than Stock Railgun.

    Let's Discuss Thunder!

Doubt that'll happen since the afterburn on any turret, whether it be the primary feature or secondary feature, is locked at 300 HP/sec. Was actually looking forward to that one. I assumed immediately that it would cause balance issues particularly with the Incendiary Bomb. The cryo bomb, I predicted, would be in the Incendiary Bomb's shadow, just like Incendiary Rounds for Smoky is more popular than Cryo Rounds. I am very sure that they are aware of some of the effects certain features will have. Not all, but definitely some. Did they predict that Duplet would take over battles? Probably not. Did they think that Sledgehammer would take over battles? Well, they had many months to see that it was too effective before taking action. As well as the disproportional damage distribution for Shell Destabilisation and Missile launcher "Uranium". They have the stats. They have the testers. We are left in the dark about the intricate workings of these alterations and are only left to assumptions.

Too many Vikings and Freezes = too many chances. After 3 minutes, the Viking Overdrives would ruin the Juggernaut.

    Ideas for Augments!

It is a prevalent turret. Easy to use, destructive and rewarding - a very tasty combination. Thunder has a large increase in statistics from M0 - M1. That makes it desirable and anyone who gets their hands on an upgraded Thunder will dominate easily. I see as many as 5 Thunders on one team. Protection against it is common because of its prevalence and power. Sure, every turret is powerful when not faced with protection, but when there are numerous players with that turret in every battle, then there is a cause for buying protection against it. It may be mellow in the higher ranks but in the M1-2 ranks, it's devastating if you don't have protection. Add Sledgehammer into that and you'd be a masochist to not equip Thunder protection if you have it. Yeah, the maximum damage range is decreased by 95%. That increases the distance of the minimum damage range from the maximum damage range, allowing the damage to fall linearly slower, but starting from a very small distance. I'm still 2-shotted by a Sledgehammer Thunder faster than a Stock Thunder. A good comparison would be this: Stock Shaft vs Assault Emitters Shaft Stock Shaft with double damage requires 2 shots to destroy a light hull. Those two shots are delivered in 1.5 seconds. Assault Emitters Shaft with double damage requires 2 shots to destroy a light hull. Those 2 shots are delivered in 1.875 seconds. And the difference between the seconds increases as you go down the tiers. Sledgehammer is Stock Shaft and Stock Thunder is AE Shaft. Both get the job done in the same number of shots. It's the time it takes them to do it is the difference. Let's put it against a medium hull. Stock Shaft requires 3 shots to destroy the medium hull. It delivers those shots in 3 seconds. Assault Emitters Shaft requires 2 shots to destroy the medium hull. it delivers those shots in 1.875 seconds. Now, this isn't always the case with Sledgehammer Thunder, since at a range of about 70 metres, it would still 2 shot the medium hull, but further back, it should take 3 shots, like the example. " " " heavy hull " " " Stock Shaft comes out the victor. Sledgehammer gets the job done more efficiently. And if protection modules are a problem, try using Hornet (if you have it). I've seen many Sledgehammer Thunders + Hornet just demolish defences when they flank with their Overdrive.

    Ideas for Augments!

The reload is decreased. Sledgehammer Thunder deals with the protection modules better than Stock Thunder. If it is buffed, then Stock Thunder would be left in the dust even further. It two-shots light and medium hulls faster than Stock Thunder. It gains a maximum of 4 more shots than Stock Thunder with Viking's Overdrive. If anything, it needs another nerf. I don't see why it needs a buff if the majority of Legend Thunder players are Sledgehammers.

Woops, I did it again. Silly me keeps forgetting that I'm about to rank. Rank up containers:

    Ideas for Augments!

I knew it was for Sledgehammer only. That still felt like a lot. Force wasn't the right word but what I meant was in order to be the most efficient, they'd have to fight close range battles. Since efficiency gets you rewards, they'd do what they can be efficient. The only thing I remember hearing about something like that was when they were talking about Autocannon Smoky. They said that it would revert Autocannon Smoky to Stock Smoky when used wit Viking's Overdrive. It is like that for the firing rate but not for the damage, as the damage is still decreased with the Overdrive, making it a very harsh downgrade when used with Viking's Overdrive. For the logic, my guess was that statistically, SCCM was superior to Sledgehammer so they gave Sledgehammer a boost with Viking's Overdrive. It' the opposite really.

    Ideas for Missions!

It's where they break free of their chains called teams that are holding them back from destroying every player in sight (because you can't damage teammates in MM). It is where they feel truly powerful. Where the number of enemies to drill into the ground almost doubles. Where the moshpit that is Sandal, Sandbox and Highland is their home.
  23. When I traverse the Russian Forum, many times during their posts, some words are auto-translated as "Imba", "ponerfili" (this one especially) and "zanerfili". What exactly do those mean? The context is more or less game balance between turrets. I deduced that when they say a turret, hull or alteration "bends", they probably mean that it dominates or gets high scores regularly. Whenever I saw "imba", I assumed that it was the opposite of dominating - lacking. But these days, it comes across more as "imbalanced" which makes sense given that they use баланс for Balance Changes.

    Ideas for Augments!

Ouch. 5% weak damage seems rather torturous, don't you think? They might need to test that in the Test Server first. Did he say how exactly this alteration was supposed to change the player's playstyle? The best I can see that doing is forcing them to fight closer battles. But they fight it at all ranges. And then you have the discrepancy between Small Calibre Charging Machine and Sledgehammer Rounds when using it with Viking's Overdrive. At M4, SCCM shoots the same number of shots as Stock Thunder, which is 12. So essentially, that's a downgrade with Viking's Overdrive compared to Stock Thunder. But then you have Sledgehammer shooting 16 times, 4 more projectiles during that time. It only shots ~6% faster than SCCM yet that gets an entire 4 more shots. That is cause for a complaint of inconsistency and illogicality. Can you discuss this with him as well?
