Quad Module Idea This idea consists of 1 module with 4 blank protections slots for you to select any protection you want for each slot. Each slot/protection will have a maximum of 40% resistance. You can adjust protection resistances anyway you want within the limits. The M0 module will have 40 Micro Upgrade steps; the M1 another 40; M2 another 40; and M3 the same; for a total of 160 steps. Each Micro Upgrade step is equivalent to 1% protection. You get the M0 Module for free at Recruit with 4 empty protection slots all with 0% protection. You get the other Module modifications for free at different ranks. You can Micro Upgrade the M0 Module to 40%; the M1 to 80%; the M2 to 120%; and the M3 to 160%. Step one would be the cheapest, 10 or 100 crystals, and step 160 would be the most expensive. You can't buy modifications only Micro Upgrade. You can change the percentage values of each slot, for example, if you have 40% total you can have those 40% in one slot/protection, or divide it 20-20 into two slot/protection, or divide it 10-10-10-10, or anyway you want. Conversion: This system could have the same value as the current system, thus making the conversion easier. Or devs could make it cheaper. Tanki would value the current system at M3 level with it's 60 triple modules then use that as the basis to map the value of all the set of modules players have in their garage, including other modifications, Legacy, Single and Doubles. Since the current system has about 60 Triple Modules, a player that has 60 M3+ Modules would get a fully Micro Upgraded Module with 160 steps, in other words that player would have 4 slot/protections with 40% each. Those that don't have any modules would get 0 steps. Devs could decide to use a lower standard than the 60 Triple Modules. PS: All this is just my suggestion.
-
We don't know how the conversion will happen, some are saying that our modules will be broken up, but I don't think that will be the case.
-
Tanki should take it's time about the module system change, there's no need to rush. There could be better solutions/ideas that work better for everyone.
-
Will this have any effect with game hacking?
-
Here Tanki can choose to do better by minimizing the loss of those that invested a lot, one way would be to make them keep an advantage in the new system. But the new system has other issues, if expensive it would be unaffordable for non-buyers and if cheap it would require other economic changes. Don't count in modules to be broken up for another reason, those Legends that have 5 m3+ modules (encompassing all 13 turrets) will be done with modules and Tanki would get nothing from them for the module system.
-
Players that have spent a lot of crystals (time or money) in having many modules, they have spent all that to have a bigger advantage over others, basically they have bought advantage. If Tanki just breaks up 5 m3+ modules into 14 m3+ modules, and 40 m3+ modules into 14 m3+ modules, it's basically wiping out all the advantage of the player with 40 modules had over the other player. If that happens there would have to be refunds, or give the player with 5 modules 14 m1 modules instead to maintain the advantage of the 40 module player, but this form of compensation doesn't smell good. On the other hand the new system has to be cheaper, for the reason I mentioned before, and that means Tanki would need to look for revenue elsewhere, I just hope is not drones, but hull alterations maybe, and skins for all equipment too.
-
Yeah, it's better to wait. We shouldn't be assuming that Tanki will break our current modules into single modules, because we don't know if that will be the case. Breaking up modules into single modules would be the lousiest and most unfair form of conversion. And if Tanki decides to convert the expensive system of today into a cheaper system and give no compensation, players that own modules would be losing in the value they get and the more modules you have the more you'd lose. The coming planned update as it was explained in the V-Log ought to be a cheaper system to be affordable for non-buyers, because non buyers would now have to work with 14 modules instead of 4 or 5.

Maybe after Magnum is balanced, otherwise we'll see more Magnums in battles because more people will buy it.

@ mods. I would like this topic to be about opening containers but also that can be used for analysis of reward probabilities. But feel free to accept it, not accept it, or move it. Post your container videos here. Just make sure the date from the Communicator panel is showing, this for possible and accurate analysis of reward probabilities.
-
Is an automated or easier analysis of container rewards possible?

Yes, but we would need a volunteer to enter data and accurate data too. Maybe we are asking too much. -
Yes, but in it's own topic you can keep working on it with feedbacks and debate the idea with others without confusing players that want to see on topic discussion about the V-Log. Anyway, no big issue, because I think the idea is good and clear enough. I like the planned update but the conversion will be problematic, and if it's not cheap enough for the system to be affordable to non buyers we'll see a huge imbalance between buyers and non buyers. But if it's cheap those who spent a lot in the current system will want a big compensation. And if it's cheap where will Tanki take back it's crystals? A drone system which will also be expensive for non-buyers maybe? All this means that the planned update is not good after all, we need to point that out to devs, and that's why I'm suggesting what I'm suggesting.
-
Come on, when the update it's released it will be too late for an idea like this. Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't understand what ideas and suggestions mean in the Ideas and Suggestions section.

Reset and Conversion to Quad Modules with 40% Idea Here's one idea for a new system that I think addresses all our concerns with today's system and the issues with the planned update. It's like the reset idea of GuidoFawkes but also a conversion to quad modules with 40% from each protection. How to reset and convert? All our triple and quad modules would be replaced with blank quad modules, and we would get a refund for single and double modules. (50%) One M3+ module with 50% protections would be converted to one M3 quad module with 37.5 protection each (likely rounded up to 38%). We wouldn't be able to edit, order or select protections for our modules during battles. We would only be able to change modules. The conversion will be easier and fairer, a player that has 40 M3+ triple modules today will get 40 M3 quad modules almost fully upgraded; a player that has 4 triple modules would get 4 quad modules. If we want more quad modules we buy them as blank and we upgrade those modules individually as usual.
-
Some numbers: The current system taking into account only M3 triple modules fully upgraded had about 60 modules, each module costing 450,000 crystals before discounts. If we multiple 60 x 450,00 we would get 27,000,000. Of course no one is expected to have all 60 modules in our garages. Can we say that the current system is worth about 27,000,000 crystals? I think the planned update will be a better system that what we have today and I believe it's very much needed. But the conversion will be very complicated, in my opinion. And many are worried about how it will happen and if it will be fair. To calculate the conversion I think need to know the value of the new system in crystals. However, the new system can't cost 27,000,000 (each of the 14 modules costing about 1,000,000), as that would be inaccessible to non-buyers and many buyers. In the middle ranks I do well with 5 modules, I don't know about higher ranks. If it's the same case for non buyer high ranks (m3+) then we may say that non-buyers can do relatively well with 5 M3+ modules worth 2,250,000 crystals. The big question now is, how much protection can a non buyer buy with 2,250,000 in the new system? Another big question is how much will the new system cost and at the same time stay balanced for all players. I have come up to only one conclusion so far, the new system will have to be cheap, but that will bring the issue with players that have spend a lot of crystals in many modules, how would they be compensated? At least one player has about 40 M3+ triple modules, which is worth about 18,000,000 crystals. (9,000,000 at 50% discount) I really don't know how the new system be prized and I'm not sure how the conversion could be done fairly. I have some ideas but i'll leave it for another post. Here I just want to introduce some idea I think we need to talk about. Let's just remember that the current system is flawed, starting with the lack of Magnum protections. But maybe the reset idea would be better for current players and a new system for future players, I'm not sure.

My idea is that there should be a refund in crystals for everything from single to quad modules. Breaking up would not be fair and many will be unsatisfied because a player with 5 modules would have the same single modules as a player that has 40. And players that have no protections can buy 14 single modules cheap before the update to get the same results. Refunds would have to be 50% of real value. Converting from old to new without refunds would have to leave players that have 40 m3+s or so with 14 M3+ modules, and those that have 5 M3+ would get maybe 14 M1s or M2s, otherwise those that invested in many modules, many buyers, will be very upset. On the other hand being downgraded to M1s or M2s would leave these players very weak. In other words, because the planned system will likely be economically cheaper, players that invested a larger amount will get to keep a good amount of crystals even after they get the new modules. The current system is a mess and Tanki needs a simpler system for Tanki Mobile, looks like the planned system will be simpler. That could be another solution, to make today's system a Legacy 2. But since the new system will likely be cheaper, and it should be cheaper because non-buyers will now have to work with 14 modules instead of 4 or 5 triple modules, many players that invested in the Legacy systems will feel cheated. But you only have two single modules. lol
-
I think those are the prices of current single modules. But those could be the prices for the new single modules too, so these can be affordable to non-buyers. I just hope they don't break our current modules in single modules as a conversion, that would be unfair and leave many unhappy. And many can buy many single modules before the update to take advantage of that.
-
We don't know exactly what the update will bring. I don't think it will be a reset like that idea in Ideas and Suggestions. But that would be great too. For those that don't know about the reset idea, it is like this: - All our modules become blank for us to then select any protection we want in those modules. - Those that have 40 modules would have 40 blank modules to create new 40 modules. - That system would not require conversions or refunds. But it would be a bit complicated. The planned system would give us 14 modules to use them to create one triple protection however we want. - It appears like we will have only one triple protection - We don't know, at least I, that we can change the individual modules of our protection during battles - If that's the case we will be stuck with that triple protection for the rest of the battle. If you only have a combo (hull/turret) and many players in a battle are using protection against your turret... maybe leave. Players that have many turrets will have an advantage because they can switch to another turret that will get less resistance. - If individual modules become expensive as current triple modules, non-buyers will be at a big disadvantage; if the single modules are cheap enough that even non-buyers can afford it, then everyone would potentially have fully MUed modules and the protection system will become less relevant in economic terms. - Conversion or refund will be complicated and many will be unhappy. - Let's say AbsoluteZero is the players that has the most triple modules, s/he has about 40 m3+ modules, a fair conversion would be to give her/him 14 M3+ single modules. But what about a players that only has 5 m3+ modules? a fair conversion would be like giving that player 14 M1 or M2 single modules. And those that have no modules would get no modules. - A refund would be the most fair if we agree that there can only be a 50% refund. And they can refund current single and double modules as well. Could cause imbalance if the new system is has cheaper single modules, but I'm not sure, I havn;t done any math on that. - But like I said above, the new single modules would have to be cheap to be affordable for non-buyers, because instead of working with 4 or 5 triple modules of today they would now have to work with 14 new single modules. That way buyers can look for advantage elsewhere, not in the protection system. - It would be a good system too. But I would like a protection system where we can use 4 single modules of 40% that we can modify even during battles. A bit less effective resistances, but against more turrets. One thing we may agree on is that a change is needed, or maybe not agree at all.
-
That would be a mess, we'll have all our modules then only do dragging and dropping between triple modules, or between double modules. Now imagine doing all that in your cellphone.
-
The conversion or refund should be fair, I agree, but it will be very hard to do a perfect conversion or refund. How would your account be balanced to Mafs account for example? You have about 40 M4s and let's say Maf has 5 M4s. If Tanki decides to break modules into single modules you would have about 120 M4 single modules and Maf would have about 15, that sound fair, but the problem will be with players buying many cheap single modules ahead of the update. Now it Tanki wants to convert all our protections into 14 single modules you could have 14 M4 single modules, but Maf would have to be downgraded to 14 M1 single modules or something in that range. Sorry Maf. :P
-
But we don't know for sure if we can create modules during battles. @AbsoluteZero playing in Noise: - Before joining battle opens garage. - Creates as many combinations as possible that include Magnum protection. - Then joins the red team - What?!! jk
-
Beware that you may only get supplies from your containers.
-
Crazy Weekend has STARTED. If anyone cares. I think something like this should be in News and Announcements though, run by admins.
-
Conversions will be simple if they just want to break all our modules into many Single modules for us to create our own Triple modules. Actually that's not a conversion, unless they want to give us Single modules with protections for different turrets than we originally have, but many will not like for good reasons. I just hope they come up with a good system and don't screwed up the opportunity. EDIT: I don't think breaking modules into single modules is a good idea, because many would buy multiple single modules cheap to use it in the new system. A conversion or refund would have to be based on the value of each module and not be based on the protections it has.
-
New modules would have to be expensive, as expensive as today's triple modules I think. But the benefit will be a simpler system. We need a simpler system, think Tanki Mobile.
