As I predicted, many players are focused on picking up boxes, they are also helping, the ones I saw, but are not much help, luckily in those battles I guess enemies where doing the same. Won all my battles. The problem with 10 minute battles is probably not that they are 10 minute battles, but that you find them with 6, 5, 2 or other few minutes left. But if there was some balance in battles, ranks, rewards and missions, I think it wouldn't matter much.
-
The plan with Matchmaking and Mobile version, because I think 10 minutes will suit better with mobile players. 10 minutes are not enjoyable because the game has serious flaws, like Overdrive and Finish Top 3 in winning team. I remember playing 10 minutes before, when we could create battles and it was enjoyable.

10 minutes battles I think are needed for Tanki's overall plan. We should one way or another get used to it. If you're struggling with Missions there are a lot of things you can do. For starters, you can claim one mission per step while you progress the other missions for following steps. If you play with multiple accounts you can play with less accounts now and not worry about losing progress. The systems can be improved too, like changing the way battle rewards are given, changing some missions, or removing Overdrive.

Okay, 50 kills for TDM was a bad idea. But a 50 lead limit is a good idea. You see, even bad ideas could lead to good ones. :P Like ASL that lead to Rugby, I think, but just remove ASL now. What missions are you having trouble with? Personally I'm not sure if we should be making conclusions in the first day, even thought I played more time to complete my missions. I think Catch boxes missions require more time to complete them, maybe they should remove those missions and replace them with Kill in Modes missions, those would take less time. everyone would be contributing to team, and players would be encouraged to stay in battles, and it would discourage mission multing. It would be like these: Destroy 10 enemies in TDM Destroy 10 enemies in CTF Destroy 10 enemies in RGB Destroy 10 enemies in DM Destroy 10 enemies in CP
-
I was thinking battles could end sooner when there's a big disparity, like those battles that end 90-20. But you're right, it would not be good for more even battles. Maybe a lead of 50 could end the battle, if even it could continue.
-
TDM needs to be 50 too. And they need to rethink CP and remove ASL. ASL is only good for easy flag and pick up supply missions, big number of mission mults there.

It's just the first day we are experiencing 10 minute battles, let's give it more time. What makes battles one sided are Overdrives, battle fund distribution, Finish top 3 in winning side, Crystal missions and battles that start uneven, among other things. There are no incentives to join our stay in the losing team, the incentives are to leave, and players will leave. Occasionally battles are even when there are big druggers on both sides that don't want to give up. About the Chain change, I'll still play the game continuously for a week or two because I have Premium in two accounts, from containers, but I'm not opening more containers unnecessarily from now on.
-
I encountered good even battles today, but I had to play more battles to complete missions, taking account time, I just finished a battles 3-2 and the previous one 2-1. I think more time too. But it's just starting now, let's see how players play when they learn more things about it. I played like I used to do, I think once I complete a my Weeks I may take a break with one or two accounts. I'm also seeing if there are no issues before I take a break. EDIT: Just got into a battle that started even and the other team was about to capture the first flag, then after we captured the first flag they were about to make it even, but we captured the second, then the best player in that team left and it turned into a one sided battle that ended 5-0 in less than 6 minutes, I even had a chance to pick up supplies, did the flag mission and finished top 3. I think it's good that it finished early because there was no chance for that team after the third flag, even if the battle was 15 minutes I think. The problem is that players leave when the other team gets ahead in the score, and it's usually good players that leave. You can't blame these players, many times it's a smart move to leave.

The 50 EXP requirement could only be for Regular battles.
-
Could be 50 EXP to be able to pick up a Goldbox.
-
That could be real news or fake news, i don't know, I didn't do the math, even Little Willie says that I don't do math. The thing is that everyone will be receiving the same amount of rewards if they are on Week 4, that means no one is getting an advantage.
-
Remember that everyone is receiving the same amount, that means no one is getting an advantage. I completed week 4 in one account too, in that case think that you'll get to Week 10 sooner than others who completed yesterday and are today starting Week 4 again.
-
SERVER RESTART Who is the first to post a Week 5 image? EDIT: We'll see that tomorrow, today I see only week 4 full. EDIT 2: Looks like I'm gonna play Tanki for longer before taking a break, that's because I have Premium in a couple of accounts. Looks like getting Premium from containers will give players an incentive to play daily. If you don't want that don't open containers unless you need it or before events.

That's why I said that I don't have a crystal ball. Even Devs don't know for sure what will happen after the update even if they have all the statistics. I think, using my imagination (how dare I), they think that daily players were causing an imbalance because they had far better equipment than casual players and even casual player buyers, or maybe that they we'll continue playing daily anyway, or that the extra container is enough as an incentive for players to play daily. No one knows what's in everyones mind. Nives mentioned that time when they paused missions because a lot of people were upset with the 3X difficulty. What data they got from that event is probably what influenced this decision. Maybe most continued playing even when they had the chance to take break, we don't know. i hope they made the right calculations. Personally I'm following these closely out of curiosity, I don't even know if I can take a break as i would like to... 30 more minutes...
-
Come on, there's no need to tell everyone how stupid they are. We are not responsible for what other people are going through. Of course a player that plays daily can upgrade faster and have more MUs, the difference is that this players will be in a different rank bracket in battles, fighting others with more upgraded equipment. Very simple logic. (< just to indicate the form, no to offend anyone) That's me, but let me clarify, I say "mostly noobs join a losing team", that's from personal experience and observation. You can see it when you see low ranks joining the losing team and high ranks joining the winning team. Many are not even using the Battle List and then they complain that they are put in battles where they are in the lowest ranks.

What are you feelings about the Mission Chain Update today and after the update?
-
No, this topic is for us to talk about our feelings. Not for what you feel about the update, but what you feel about what you are feeling.
-
Wash, rinse and repeat.
-
If you play daily you ranks faster and accordingly you need to upgrade faster; if you play casually you rank slower and accordingly you need to upgrade slower. No advantage, and that's good for overall economic balance. Everyone will get about the same rewards for the same amount of effort. Tanki is just ending the advantage daily players use to get by just playing daily. One of my issues with the update is that I think we'll see fewer and fewer players. We'll see if that's what happens, I don't have a crystal ball for that.

Your feelings about not needing to do missions daily.

To talk about the Mission Update and to provide feedback go to the official post here: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=371790 This topic is about your feelings now and after the update. For me personally, the idea that I'll not have to do missions daily feels very strange. I think that I have become addicted to all of this and that maybe I'm in someway feeling what people with addictions feel when they take away their source of addiction. I know I can just keep playing, no big deal right? and I know some will just jump on the opportunity to remind me that it's no big deal. I just want to understand this process. I'm planning on taking a break, let's see if I can achieve that. What do you think feel of the update and what's about to come? -
Why? Now or eventually they will not have an advantage over casual players and they'll be less competitive against buyers, whom will also be getting the rewards on top of what they already have. Think of it as if everything will be leveled. But that's good because casual players were at a big disadvantage compared to Daily Missioners and Buyers, and I talked about this before. I just don't think this is the right solution.
-
I love reality, the reality is that Tanki just removed the advantage daily player could get from playing daily against other players, and they'll be less competitive against buyers, because buyers will be getting extra rewards too even if they don't play daily. I agree that if you need to save for the next sales you need to complete as many missions as possible, but if you play slow you can even skip some sales, so in that sense is pretty good, one just needs to adjust the timing and frequency in one's head. I MUed at every sale all that I needed to MU btw. Personally I think it's good for me, taking breaks will be awesome, maybe not too much but still great, you'll see. The important thing is that we are awesome, everyone is awesome, you're awesome. Tanki is awesome, fine people, very fine people everywhere. Amazing update, you can see devs hard work right there, just incredible, believe me, you believe me because you're amazing. You don't believe me?! How dare you! I'll trow my new, shine, smart pen at you!

A little better than the rewards for Catch boxes missions, I think. But the rewards for the rest will be that it will encourage player to contribute in battles and hopefully stay until the end. And to discourage Gold multing... 100 exp before being able to pick up Golds. That will teach them!
-
Catch boxes missions need to be removed, to prevent a possible increase of Catch boxes mission mults because both of these changes. Instead I suggest missions like: Destroy 10 enemies in CTF (or any other mode)
-
TO_King can do like 20 accounts a day. :P Tanki is removing the advantage daily players used to get from playing daily. They may as well have removed the whole Chain system, but hey, everyone loves containers, right? PS: The forum is more entertaining than the game.
