My friend who had easy pass yesterday lost it at normal server restart but got it back after 1am EST restart. So if you lost it, check again and see if it is back. The 0 stars for mult "feature" is not working 100%. Whatever logic is in place should be reviewed. In this battle, we had a relatively quick, one-sided 7-0 CTF win. I was an isida for the whole battle, doing my job, helping flag attackers, sacrificing myself to protect flag, and received 0 stars. That is crap. 2nd game is a not too dissimilar a result but in this one got stars. (Yes, I have Easy Stars pass.)

ASL really depends on the map of which team is favored. Large maps like Serpuhov, Highways, and Massacre are too big for attackers to win most of the time. Making caps worth more pts or moving flags closer to defenders' base or adding more flags on those maps would help. Red Alert, Bridges, Silence, Wolfenstein, Aleksandrovsk all are pretty balanced and can be won from either side with a good team. ASL is always the longest wait for a game to start for me. Likely because of low interest.

Same issues as above. 7 out of 8 games I attempted to start timed out and I was removed for inactivity before ever getting in. In the 1 battle I did successfully join, saw same supplies issue where supplies I picked up or used did not show as active for a couple minutes. Lag is quite bad as well.

Had 14 M3 (avg. 7/10 MUs) and spider M3 and got no batteries. Bought 4 of those modules plus bunch of MUs a month ago for over 1 million crystals. Before I bought those I already had all turrets covered. Total loss as I received 0 batteries. Very aggravating. Sounds like I was at the high end of a garage that receives no compensation.

Tanki should be better about putting out full information all at once to avoid the need for all of us to speculate. Time and again it is the same story. They should have had an article which clearly detailed how it will work to go along with the vlog. The timing of this announcement probably sucks for me too. I just bought 4 modules in the previous sale and MU'ed them quite a bit to the tune of about 800k crystals. I already had 12 M3 (12-13 MUs each) modules covering all turrets and mines but needed different combinations. If this goes how I expect, I will have wasted all those crystals.

I do not think it is difficult to complete missions but since the update the games have been much, much less fun. I mainly play CTF games, and over the last 2 days, I have had exactly 2 competitive games out of approximately 50. My team lost both those competitive games but they were the most fun I've had because they were challenging. Every other game is a blowout and ends in a couple minutes either because no one is left on the losing team or because 5 flags have been captured. People on the losing team leave once the first flag is capped and no one comes to fill up the games. There is just not enough time to mount a comeback and the reward for being on the losing team is almost nil. This is not isolated to CTF. Have seen exactly the same thing in CP, Assault, Rugby. Same in Legend and General and Lt. Colonel ranks on alts. It is a broken environment. Strategy is limited. There is insufficient time to adjust and organize so people don't try. I have been playing this game for about 2.5 years and this change has been the biggest kick to the nuts of this game I have experienced. I don't foresee MM helping the situation. People will be put in a losing battle with 6 minutes left, realize in 1 minute that the effort to win is nonexistent, and leave. Then another person is dropped in their spot with 5 minutes left and is in the same position. I think giving the losing team a more reasonable piece of the fund may help to give more incentive to continue but that will only help a little.

I appreciate that we are given information in advance so if we have an XT super mission already, there is an opportunity to complete it. This does not personally affect me as I don't have XTs or XT super missions currently and have always skipped any super missions I've received. I suggest in future that more complete information be provided initially to limit questions and unknowns. It would have been best to provide Tentative release of the XT skins update which will remove all in progress super missions along. How the existing XTs plan to be converted. The conversion has the potential to anger people. What will happen to people who have M1/M2 hulls for parkour and XT for battles? If someone has M3 item and same XT item, how are MUs of the 2 going to be merged and will crystals be returned to compensate? How much will XT skins cost in crystals and/or real money?

I also would find it valuable to know MU level of equipment and what alterations are owned. On the current tank display, it would be useful to see their current protection module along with MU level and active alterations. It would be even better if that info was available in game. Maybe in the battle listing next to the name or in game when you hit Tab to show participants or when you Left-click a user name in the popup in addition to all the existing links.

Thanks for the replies all. I was really disappointed when I found there was no path to upgrade to M1 to continue MUing a bit more to something like Swift's. I am going to stick with M0 for now and see if I can continue to improve. Down the road maybe I will change my mind and get M3 or splurge and get XT wasp so have both options. Re: righting tank, I am only playing in space mode. I can right the tank from its side maybe 25% of the time which is very frustrating. Same with landing on tracks from air... basically a crapshoot how I land. The recoil-weight ratio is so high that any shots in the air that are not perfectly timed cause me to spin uncontrollably fast. It is even difficult to just control the tank when I shoot on flat ground with both tracks down. Guess it comes down to practice and whether I get the hang of it before it becomes not fun any more. -

Just getting started with parkour mode. While M0 wasp is great at flying with M3 thunder, I am having difficulty controlling it and righting it when on side. Should I continue to practice or go ahead and upgrade to M3 wasp? Other question is about Thunder alteration to remove self and splash damage. Does it also affect recoil or impact force or are those characteristics kept unchanged? -
I don't see why my higher rank should stop the M0 to M1 upgrade. I want to continue to micro-upgrade it to use for parkour. Want a bit more health and speed and a bit more weight to make easier to control.

I just upgraded my M0 wasp to 10/10 but am unable to upgrade it to M1 to continue micro-upgrading it. The button is labeled "Buy M3". Is there a way to make the hull M1? -

Like this change very much. Tend to play at lower traffic times so expect this to save me some time finding best battle. Agree that some additional filters will likely be necessary to control list size.

I think that the main reason that the system is being pushed is to balance load evenly between servers. I can think of no other reason that makes sense from Tanki's perspective. The better way to do this is to make the client have battle list and chat consolidated across all servers and allow more options to filter the battle list like format, map(s), battle pass/premium required, map size (small, medium, large), min and max rank allowed, supplies enabled/disabled, etc. and allow players to save filters so they can easily be re-run. That solution gives flexibility to player without taking away their control. It also allows Tanki to host battles on whatever server has the least load at the moment. -
You don't stress test a new system that has not been validated to work properly. You verify the system is working and then stress test to find where you need to make optimizations or add resources.

The changes to the maps are interesting and something new but, on balance, this update is bad in my opinion. I use the Tanki client and the performance after the update is incredibly bad in comparison to before the update. I have a quite powerful workstation with gigabit fiber and consistently got 60 fps at 1600x1200 full screen with all graphics options enabled before the update. After the update I was getting <30 fps. What is not captured in the fps is the complete lack of playability. I had to turn off many graphics options in order to get acceptable performance. I play at non-peak hours and the time to get a game to start is much longer than it took me to find a good game manually. The range of ranks is MUCH too wide. See below for example. I would never voluntarily play with ranks more than a couple higher than me and I am regularly being put into matches with high level Legends with much better equipment. (I have the best equipment currently available at my ranks.) In the 30 or so matches I have entered, I have only had one game where I had the advantage of being the highest rank. (I have played with 2 major general accts and 2 third lieutenant accts.) The matchmaking system is not producing good battles. In my roughly 30 matches, I have only had 3 which were not a blowout one way or the other. When you are sent to a battle late, which happens about 50% of the time in my experience, inevitably you are being added to the losing team. You have limited time to make a difference and earn XP and crystals. Your base is often overrun and you have little hope of turning the tide of the battle. The other team's players have likely been in the battle longer and either have overdrive already activated or ready to activate. The problem is exacerbated by people on the losing team giving up and leaving and new players being added to the losing team's slaughter. Completing missions is much more difficult, and in my opinion, more difficult than is enjoyable. I have kept my mission chain going for months on 4 accounts but I will likely stop if nothing changes. Not being able to choose my battle, my side, and my teammates for the vast majority of my play time takes out much of the fun of the game. My recommendation is to drop the matchmaking system update and instead provide a unified list of games across all servers that meet the players' criteria. A simple search where you can choose format, game type, map size, minimum and maximum ranks. Allow players to save these search criteria to allow them to re-run them in the future. This is comparatively simple as opposed to developing a balanced matchmaking system. If the update stays, as I fear it will, I suggest these changes: The performance of the game must be improved. While not the most realistic game visually, there is no reason with my system that I need to have to disable so many graphics options and still have lower performance than before. The range of ranks in a battle must be smaller. Highest to lowest should never be more than 5 ranks and you need to take special care of the major general to general ranks which is the only solid line between equipment levels. If you don't have sufficient players at all times then the system is doomed to failure and you will not be able to balance teams and make the game enjoyable for all players. End battles early when they are not competitive rather than torturing players. Allow missions to be completed outside the matchmaking system. Develop a better system for people to be able to play together. The idea of a matchmaking system is great if properly implemented. This test proves that the system, as it now exists, is not better than what it was designed to replace. Look at below for an example of terrible balance. 5 Legends on 1 team. C-R-E-M-A-T-O-R-Y is a Legend 18 and the lowest rank in the battle is 28 ranks lower. This is terrible and is not going to produce an enjoyable experience for anyone.
