    It didn't kill it but it did make a huge difference. Before the nerf I used it almost exclusively. Now, I only use it for juggernaut and sometimes DM.

    Assault drone often scores better than any other drone in a full length game and really can work in any mode. With it you are generally a bit campy and trying to do steady killing. With about 25 kills in a game you can have full drugs almost continuously. However, if the game ends early this is likely not the best scorer. Defender is best for CTF/RGB capping and CP too if points are hotly contested. For juggernaut, I generally use Booster and sometimes Driver or Blaster. I personally rarely use Saboteur. It is undeniably effective but generally scores low and it is not my style to defend generally. I have been surprised booster usage hasn't dropped since it went from 5s to 3s. I think for a lot of people it is their only strong drone so they have stuck with it.

    If you are a Marshall facing a well-equipped, good Legend, you are screwed in the long run. This drone is the least of your worries. It all comes down to the details of the costs and benefits. As someone who uses drones almost all the time and has M4 garage with exception of a few stupid drones, this drone doesn't worry me. It does not sound exceptionally more powerful than Defender, if at all. If someone has to use 10 RKs to kill me and they are willing to do that, so be it. I'll just take freeze and keep them alive forever and stuck in one place or some combination that can one shot them. I likely will get it when it is released unless the upfront/upgrade/supply usage cost is exorbitant but that is just because I have almost 2,000,000 crystals with nothing to spend them on. I'll admit it does sound like there is possibility to take it to a parkour war level which only strangely damaged people enjoy. Maybe it will be so expensive the only people that can regularly use it are people with 9,999,999,999 crystal YouTube accounts. May make great god mode content. Camper is indeed generally stupid for normal MM. Here are drones that some of top 350 Legends actually use (last 2 weeks) and many strong Legends don't regularly use drones at all.

    Camper/Assault give you virtually unlimited SB/DA/DD in certain circumstances. Camper/Saboteur allow you to drop tons of mines. I don't think this gives much of an advantage over other drones with exception of being able to use repair kits more frequently. The question is how many RKs will it use per repair and how short this makes the repair cooldown. It may also use batteries faster. Everyone runs out of RKs and batteries if you actively use them and play a good amount. I need to buy them regularly with money or crystals. I have over 50,000 of every other supply so wouldn't care if those got used faster. The second open issue is how shop is changing with supply and battery kits being removed. It is unknown how it will work in future and how costs will change. Overall not hugely excited or worried about this drone until more details are provided.

    Can we get a team juggernaut mode with correct statistics for juggernaut in that mode? It has closer to 16k hit points (not 20k) for M4 because it can be one shot with M4 shaft + M4 booster + heavy capacitors. Also overdrive charges differently and gives full hit points when used.

    Can we get a wiki entry for Team Juggernaut mode? I don't think the HP information on https://en.tankiwiki.com/Juggernaut is correct for juggernaut in this mode. There are also differences in how juggernaut works between solo and team like overdrive charging and overdrive HP healing that should be noted. M4 shaft with M4 booster and heavy capacitors can one shot an M4 juggernaut with about 16k damage while wiki says M4 juggernaut should have 20k HP.

    I like all these changes with exception of uranium going from 4 to 2 rockets for salvo. I think it should have been 3 as well. I bet (hope) the next thing that is nerfed is shaft's ability to one shot full health M4 juggernaut without shaft protection while using M4 shaft + M4 booster + heavy capacitors. Outside of mammoth changes, recent changes seem to be geared to the dominant combinations in team juggernaut. First freeze, then hunter / striker / uranium.

    I think that is just being communicated badly. Currently, if you are completely frozen, you can move your turret and hull at 10% of your normal speed. My best guess is that after update, your turret will move 20% of normal speed when completely frozen and your hull will still be at 10%. So gives you a little better chance to fight back but a medium or light hull is still going to easily be able to circle you and avoid damage. Shock freeze makes you completely frozen faster so this will have same impact on it. Smoky cryo rounds rarely get anyone completely frozen this change would have same impact. I think the same freezing effect is caused by dictator overdrive but again I don't think it is completely freezing you. I think this is likely a bit of buff personally because my problem with freeze is more the short energy canister rather than the freezing effect being too weak.

    I wanted to report a bug that has happened a couple times to me in HTML5. My tankoin totals will continue to go up as I play battles. I have about 300 tankoins now but it shows in UI me having 2631. If I try to buy something with them unfortunately it does not allow it. I tried to buy 10 containers for 1350 tankoins and also a battery kit and it failed with error. Yesterday the total was up over 4000. It almost seems like my crystals are also being added to my tankoin total in UI. I didn't track the exact numbers to check but roughly that is what appears to be happening. If I log out and in, the number goes back to correct total.

    What's new in HTML5

    Just want to be clear, overall I am extremely impressed with the HTML5 version of the game, and I have been working in web app development for almost 20 years. It is pretty amazing that they have been able to faithfully recreate the game and redesign the UI. I hope as they get past the functional differences they will make the UI more accommodating to people with high resolution. There is also a lot of froufrou that was interesting to see once but just clutters the UI for experienced players. I don't think you should be penalized with a self-destruction for changing equipment in the time between dying and respawning. In flash, you have until your tank visually respawns. In HTML5 you have to hit Pause before the camera starts to move to your new spawn location. I'm pretty damn quick on a keyboard and I can Pause only about 20% of time. That's frustrating because then you either have to cancel your planned change or make the change and be out of the game for another 10 seconds as you go through self-destruct timer and another respawn. We buy all these different items to be effective in a variety of situations. A significant part of being a good player is having a good garage and knowing what to use when. Changing equipment should be encouraged and able to be done quickly. I find myself spending significantly more time in garage in this version than old. Of course, a large part of that is years of familiarity with old UI (which was worse than this one). If I were designing an in-battle equipment change function, I wouldn't use the same UI as lobby garage. I would provide a quick change screen where you could choose turret+alt, hull, modules, and drones. Would also likely change behavior such that changing equipment takes effect the next time you spawn rather than causing a self-destruction. Then user can choose whether to self-destruct or not. Side scrolling shows when picking MM battle type if not full screen and there is unused blank space above and below. When you have to show instructions (bottom right) to use mouse wheel to scroll to other options you know it is not intuitive. They probably got feedback it was not intuitive and rather than changing behavior added instructions. It also exists in full screen in garage when selecting turret, module, and drone. Maybe show up for hulls too.

    He is gaming the efficiency system. Yarik only plays on double or triple crystal days and plays a ton on them. Most of the top 100 efficiency are like that.

    Have been playing on HTML5 for 3 days now exclusively. Playing fullscreen at 2560x1440 on Xeon E5-2670, 16GB RAM, SSD, Radeon RX 460. Getting 60fps with all settings enabled. A couple lag spikes but otherwise no errors which is wonderful because I was getting error every 2 games with client though had 60fps. I have had sound drop a couple times but it returned after about a minute. General Key mapping for alternate keys is required for more general adoption. Allow configuration of mapping for all different screens with as many hooks as possible. Map number keypad 1-6 and Enter to same normal keys by default. Better use of available screen space for larger resolutions to avoid scrolling unnecessarily. Using mouse wheel to scroll horizontally is odd behavior. Game Play Camera still needs some work. Camera should always be in line with turret direction using keyboard and it lags slightly behind. Finding it difficult to use long range weapons accurately because of camera and apparently higher impact force. Very difficult to get to garage to change equipment after killed without automatically respawning. Not enough time is given to Pause (P) and go to Garage (G). Garage (G) hotkey should be available in battle rather than having to open Pause (P) menu. Impact force received seems much greater in HTML5 than in Flash. When tanks pushing together more likely to see tanks go through or on top/under eachother in HTML5 than in Flash. After battle, add L - Leave hotkey After battle, allow to go directly to garage and then go N - Next. Battle summary does not list clan tags and no link to profile site. CP mode can't see status of points on map. Mammoth overdrive seems slower to display in HTML5 vs flash and harder to react to. Allow opening containers in battle. Allow way to see alterations/drones/protections on tank. R key does nothing in HTML5. Memory Game continues to increase memory usage as played which likely means there is a memory leak. Have had get as high as 6GB of memory being used by Chrome when game is only tab and minimal loaded plugins. Landing screen Suggest allowing disabling of current tank animation (constantly using 10-15% of GPU on this) More hotkeys to allow navigation and make configurable: H - Home / Landing screen G - Garage M - Missions C - Containers S - Shop D - Disband Group A - Add Group Member F - Friends P - Play Rather than have Gear icon to drill down to game type to play, make game type options available on this screen Integration with current war (https://tankionline.com/pages/tank-war/) like is done for challenges Battle List Bad use of space. No need to have left-right scrolling. Use blank space better or adjust button sizes. Battle List / List Show map name in list. Garage Bad use of space. No need to have left-right scrolling for turret/hull/drone/protection/supplies. Use blank space better or adjust button sizes. Double mouse click does not work to equip alterations, skins, paint colors. When selecting a paint, the selected paint is scrolled off screen. Paints not ordered except by owned/not owned. Default paint filter should show most recently used paints. On my screen size, would be great to configure everything in one screen: turret/hull/drone/protection Friend List Clan Tags not visible Not ordered except by online/offline Wasted screen space to left and right Suggest add filters and sorting capabilities (name, clan, online/offline, date last played) Battle Group Make more clear how to leave or disband group.     How about most stars earned by a clan or highest percentage of stars won by a clan in matchmaking battle? We earned 24 out of 29 total stars in battle with 2 people tying for 1st and 2 people tying for 2nd.

    Magnums sitting stationary behind a wall shouldn't be helped. They should be hunted. I have nothing against the turret or the people who use it, just that style of play. RE: Hornet OD, you are presuming a hornet not earning battle points in the first 10 seconds of their OD. Now, their OD will not recharge as a result of those battle points earned in the first 10 seconds effectively making it take longer. Pre-update, I would be 75% recharged at the end of hornet OD with normal play. Post-update it will be more like 50%. I think that is a positive balance change. Hornet OD is an excellent counter to Titan OD because Hornet OD ignores the protections afforded by Titan's OD so it is easy to kill anyone in the dome. Reducing the recharging speed of Hornet OD increases the relative strength of Titan OD because it is less likely their will be a Hornet on OD.

    I think they have done a good job in this update with balance with respect to what I have experience. Positives Mammoth OD has been a problem. If they get close to capping and have OD ready you were powerless. Hunter OD could slow it down for a few seconds but that was all. I like adding Wasp OD as a counter. I think Wasp OD was comparatively weak and bomb took too long to explode so was relatively easy to avoid. Whether self damage being removed is too strong remains to be seen but it is hard for a Wasp to survive for 3 seconds in a crowd of the other team. I think Hornet OD and Thunder Sledgehammer nerfs are needed. I have been using that combination lately and it is too powerful. Add in the Booster drone and it is ridiculous. You can almost have continuous OD because of quick refresh. Because Viking OD is so strong, it needed to have its charging speed or damage output reduced. They have done both so will need to see how it balances. Vulcan desperately needed a general buff. Incendiary Band alteration is mostly useless still. You don't do enough burning damage to make up for the reduced direct damage. Stock or Shooting Speed Regulator alt are the better options now. Dictator getting buff to OD is interesting but hard to tell what impact this will have. It will make a coordinated team much stronger. Indifferent I don't play with Shaft often (and never with Heavy Capacitors) or Juggernaut so can't comment on those. I think this will likely make JGR battles better for the Juggernaut. While I have Camper drone, I never choose to use it. Negatives I don't think Magnum needed a buff. Make people have the skill to aim. Effectively reducing frequency of Hornet OD makes Titan OD stronger which I think is already one of the stronger for team battles. Big issue still is team balance. ODs promote blowouts. If a team gets ahead, it is refreshing ODs faster, which makes it more difficult for the losing team. Lastly, I think ODs all refresh too quickly now. I actually like the new mechanics of it now and they are all fun to use but I think they play too big a part in outcome of a battle.

    I played 20 battles and had to restart 12 times from hard in-game errors or failure to respawn after going to garage. In addition to that, I had 3 games that had invisible players (grayed out in battle list) or I stopped doing damage. The game was generally slow as well. All the errors were very frustrating and I had to stop playing because of it. The overdrives recharge much too fast. It seems almost twice as fast as before. While it is fun to have an overdrive enabled and wreck people easily, for me it is overshadowed by frustration of not being able to defend against them. If you are up against a hornet on overdrive and you are in their range, you will die. If you are against a viking on overdrive in their range, you will die. They are just too powerful. My recommendation would be to slow the overdrive recharge down to previous rate and to reduce duration or power of some of them.

    Question about getting invited to group while in a MM battle. If you click to join the group, it doesn't take you out of your current battle. I have clicked join and manually left battle and I am not part of the group. How is this supposed to work? Do you have to leave the battle first and then click join?

    The War Ends

    Here were stats for last round. That doesn't tell you how many people were on each faction but how many people voted in last turn. In the earlier rounds, Bears and Wolves had about 1k more votes per round but after Lions started to take lead, the number of votes swung to Lions having most. Number of votes/turn was pretty consistent throughout.
