You are not in the know, that's all. Certain players used unfair methods to obtain Phoenixes with inactive mult teams way faster than they were supposed to. Just in one month, for example. We took notice.

An augment scoring more without any p2w elements feels instantly unfair. An augment scoring more by killing more players by p2w elements feels fair. You get what you desire, truly.

I disagree. Variety is the very spice of life. That said, we don't buff/nerf only by the number of players playing an aug. But, we do consider it along with the other aug KPIs.

Was it before or after they found out that Unity no longer supports browsers and there is no way they can make browser players switch to a client-based version of the game? I asking because you seem to know more about the developer's intentions than I do.

Ahh, you see it is a little trick I use to teach players to play this behemoth of a game. Railgun Mk1 autoaim is set to ±1.2 deg. Railgun Mk7 autoaim it set to 0 deg. Turned off, essentially. This is what I call a 'managed skill gap'. The Railgun Master and Sports battles are hard server autoaim 0 for all the turrets of all the Mks -

There could be a comprehensive debate about whether the game should have a larger or smaller skill gap between the skill floor and skill ceiling. I believe it should be a 'managed gap' if anything. For example... According to the patch notes, the Railgun horizontal auto-aim is ZERO on all the platforms. -

Look. I have been in this business for more than ten years. I do this longer than some people live. I know how it works. Games work on emotions and hate is one of them. But you don't hate me for me, because you don't know me. You hate me for what I represent. And I am a system that turns 'your' time into 'their' money. There is no way around it, it's just how it is. It's my job. There is this idea among certain developers about players' toxicity and how it's wrong and destroys everything. But after all these years, I see it as an inevitable part of the system. There is no other way for you to 'push back' on what the developers do but to express hate. So there are no hard feelings on my side left. Well, maybe a little bit) Here is something for the mood:

On a serious note - yes. I see this as a problem myself. It is a complicated story about why this (x4 exp) was introduced in the first place and why we just can't get rid of it. Working on the solution atm and I hope I can present it soon enough.

Ah, mon seniour! I wasn't talking about you, I was hinting at the player you replied to! And I am delighted to learn you took my 'punches' for the jokes they always were. Extra hats off to you for taking only the in-game battles seriously.

I mean, you said it yourself I 'entice'. No ill intent and I do apologize if my 'punches' feel too 'loaded'. Some players take it all too seriously, while this is just a game. I even believe that this is the only reason people go to forums at all — to be way too serious about things. As some other players noticed, this event is a 'free event' with occasional benefits for the developers. The last year we've been thinking about the feedback that there are 'only' paid events. We tried one free event which players didn't like so we were looking for something different. If this is what you'll end up liking with your 10 accounts, and we'll have a chance to get even one new player — kind of a win-win for everybody.

Obviously, I am only trying to win an argument online, and I am failing spectacularly at that. However, I gave you my solemn word that this event is going to the event plan and will have a quarterly occurrence. That might not be a fluke.

I was hoping you understood the field but it seems you are an amateur. You couldn't possibly inquire about the 'results', knowing you need an NDA to learn any of that. At best, you would hope to learn how many players 'participated' in the event, which would tell you nothing about how many new players we got and whether that's what we expected from the event. But you went so far as to mock us that you'll state the conclusion by comparing these unlearnable results with our expenses. That is why I got interested. Either you know our expenses, which is impossible, or you can approximate our expenses, which is possible, or you are an amateur, obscuring your irrelevant opinion on the effectiveness of the event behind words that sound important, like 'business colleagues', 'expenses' 'extra entries into the DB' which are just a buzz. I hoped to learn your approximation and how you came to that number. I still hope you'll share it. You are already being mocked asked by others about your opinion of why you care for the FREE event. Yet you keep pressing on with a serious face. It's marvelous. I'll state in advance that this event was a sound success, all the participants were commended and we will streamline it to fit into each quarter event plan. I give you my solemn word :D
