Pictomania: Memes, Screenshots, Internet Pics, GIFs

I am breaking the vicuous cycle. You thought it was @monkeyburn or @Bydo who posted a meme here ... -
I have always found April Fools to be one of the most fun events due to the surprise-element of Gold Boxes, it's a shame that the drop frequency of these boxes has decreased over the years (at least how I observe it). Other events that catch a lot of nostalgia were the old May Holidays (2013, 2014) during which Gold Boxes actually had linearly increased value, increasing by a 1000 each day making up for a range of 3000 to 9000 at the end of the event - I also enjoyed events that introduced actually new maps during the celebrations (not remade ones or those with a special glance)

it saddens me to bring you the news that Adriel officially left the game and the forum indefinitely

I noticed it, great addition to the current variation of shot effects. I was about to ask why you did not include any new Shaft shot-effects, but I figured out there is no need to answer that question haha

please quote me when responding to a message of mine, otherwise I cannot notice your reaction nor respond to it. MLH (Mk8) has an acquisition time of 0.56s and a salvo reload time of 1.02s, theoretically you can fire two boosted missiles if fired directly after each other from salvo mode if timed correctly (that is activating BD thus Booster when the first missile is mid-air and about to hit the tank). This is not the case with APM or RRE, both of which require a greater aiming and reload time. Honestly, I don't think Booster is suitable for Striker: its missiles are relatively slow considering the 3 second time window and the missiles' trajectory can be disturbed by certain obstacles/entities or by simply dodging, so using any augment other than MLH or MLU can be quite challenging with Booster.

really odd choice of drones and comparison of the two to RRE. Saboteur is initially a defensive drone, although players could practically use it in any case - that being said, Saboteur is a cliche drone which is used by players who either spam their base with mines or are blocking certain spots for enemies (basically spamming as well). You can defend or block players with any weapon and/or augment, so there is no best choice for a combination with Saboteur (I would not buy the drone to begin with, it is an expensive drone and does not bring any excitement to the table reg. combat apart from easy score farming of which I doubt you would want that reputation among your fellow tankers). Same goes for Booster, another drone which you can pair with a lot of turrets and augments. WIth RRE you are only able to fire one boosted rocket, after which the effect wears off and you will need to wait for another 30 seconds or search for a BD- supply box in order to fire another one. Plus, detonating a boosted rocket from close distance by accident will immediately kill you, so you should consider the risk of losing a life and two additional damage-supplies. Both of these drones consume a lot of their according supply, Booster due to its low cooldown will eat away your BDs at ridiculous pace so be aware of that. But if you insist on purchasing one of these two drones, go for Booster because it is the only one that can actually offer some benefits in combat (one rocket or with some luck a salvo). However RRE is perfectly compatible with other drones, even Brutus can improve its performance. Even so, RRE is an augment that requires a focused and precise playing style, if you are not skilled or experienced with it then an augment a drone will not grant any support.

That bug has been in the game for almost if not more than a year. It has been mentioned in this topic frequently and moderators have reported the issue to the developers, but nothing has been done so far. I think that meanwhile 60% of my comments in this thread are about Magnum and it's damage-bug, so I'll try to make my comments less monotonous
-
You mean that as purchasing player he has the right to enter the event regardless? And how does that make any sense?

Things will never be the way they used to be. This applies to everything in life. Everything is changing, either for the good or for the bad, no one has any control over that. Good memories should stay memories, don't bring back the old nostalgia because you are not content with the situation as it is right now. The game will never get reverted to its previous state, no matter how much you want that to happen. It is impractical and illogical, and let me be direct and honest towards you: you will never experienced the game the same as it used to be if brought back, ever. If you want the game to improve, share substantiated opinions and give constructive feedback. There is a lot of creativity among the community, but practicality is not always present in proposed ideas. Continueto comment and respond to updates and to other tankers, but wishing back for the goold old days will never lead to anything

and how exactly is this aimed at players who pay real money? Everyone had the chance to register for the event if they entered the game at the right time - if you missed it, too bad for you huh. It is only a small event, don't expect anything too big from it

Notification about discontinuing of the game in the Netherlands/Belgium

As @mjmj5558 already mentioned, you should read a bit back in this topic for clarification and additional information. You are most likely to find answer to your question in this thread. Either way, to put things short, you can download the browser Opera and install it on your laptop/computer for free. This browser has an in-built proxy that masks your computer's IP-address of the request to the resource server, in other words your computer's IP cannot be tracked; this allows you to keep playing Tanki Online. However proxies tend to be not too reliable, so do not log into any important sites or share personal data (e.g. bank account) on Opera. Another way to keep playing this game is by downloading a VPN, an advanced and more reliable system that hides your IP-address too. Having said that, safe VPNs do require a paid subscription so unless you consider browsing anonymously on a daily basis it is not worth investing in one. More information about proxies and VPNs can be found on the internet. Best is to find out about it yourself a bit more -
Was to be expected that EMS would arrive in the challenge sooner or later. Honestly I do not feel too bad about it, there have been multiple occasions for players to get EMP-immunity from previous challenges and possibly containers - if not, then they have a new chance to obtain it. I won't be participating in this challenge, I already own above-mentioned augments and I do not have the time to farm an additional 1000 stars. Nor am I willing to spend 1500 on the Battle Pass

On the TankiWiki it is shown that micro-upgrading your Railgun from Mk5.8 to Mk5.10 (=Mk6.0) costs you a total of 124,260 crystals, speed up costs included while not taking into account discounts. If you do not speed up the upgrade-process, then it does only cost you 40,000 (see spoiler below). Generally, it is best to not spend crystals on speed ups since these are double the costs of micro-upgrades - you only have to wait for appr. 4 days between each step which is not too long at all. There is no option to purchase all micro-upgrades at once, sometimes a player does not want to upgrade their item to maxed MU. It is only a couple more clicks on the button for upgrades, so there is no need to make an option where all prices are included in one button. By the way, this is not the appropriate topic to ask such questions. This section is aimed at reporting bugs and glitches found in the game, you can go to the Ideas & Suggestions-section to propose your idea or Lets discuss micro-upgrades to discuss it with other players

Again, I sent a message in this section that included gameplay with Magnum provided by @At_Shin. Would that not be sufficient proof? If not, what other evidence should be provided?
-
The bug has been reported dozens of times past months, I even included video material of gameplay with Magnum in one of my comments in which the no-damage bug can clearly be noticed. I know that the occurance of bugs is not your case and this message is not directed personally, but you should understand the huge annoyance of players that experience this bug, including me.
