I tend to disagree. Containers are a viable source for cosmetics and also augments which would otherwise cost 245k to obtain - not to mention they allow players to obtain tankoin-exclusive and legendary augments. I haven't bought an augment in years - they have become significantly more expensive since the augment-update and statistics change every once in a while - I prefer to work with the gear I already have and wait for a good augment from a container in the meantime. I have been rather lucky when it comes to regular container openings as of late, got a few legendary openings (both augments and animated paints) and managed to complete some sets of hull-augments. I am a late-game player, but a majority of the stuff I use is all from containers

was told this is rare (14x common crystal reward)

That's a very interesting hobby you got there. Where do you find these rocks? Do you search for them in nature or collect rare ones from a shop? As for me, I like to practice Photoshop, go outside for a walk, read a book or hang out with friends. And occasionally play Pokémon Go with my roommates.

There used to be a variety of keys you could press to cancel your scope-mode (e.g. ESC, P or ENTER). But as @Me0w_XP said above, this glitch/mechanic no longer exists

Yeah Twins Pulsar is an annoying one for sure. It helps that I mainly play on mid- to long-range and avoid direct contact with enemies: the few times I went into close-combat with a Twins Pulsar didn't end well for me

Events and contests are discontinued and will not come back anymore. I do not dare to explain as I am not completely sure of the reason, but I think it had to do with the number of participants being too low. Perhaps @Marekos1111 and @Alfi can tell more about it, since they were responsible for organising such contests. I wish you a happy year as well :). May 2023 be your year! - Name [Flag]

Supplies cannot be activated unless a drone is equipped. Drones are a new type of gear that enhance the power of supplies and in most cases provide a statistical or mechanical boost for your tank (see this page). Drones tend to be expensive in usage and upgrading, so best is to pick a cheap drone. Your best choice is the Brutus drone (1000 crystals upon purchase, 300.000 crystal for upgrading it to max. level).

Don't think people understand the concept and idea behind Pulsar. You are supposed to be completely overpowered and vulnerable for a short period of time. Up to a player to select which status effect they want to protect themselves against (most of the time EMP, stun or AP will do a good job doing so - I myself prefer stun). I can't deny that Pulsar is annoying and overused nowadays: we are still being ravaged by Tesla while Smoky and Twins are already on their way downtown. That said, there are a lot more powerful augments in the game, some of which aren't even empowered by status effects. I have rarely seen a Pulsar dominating a battle, let alone getting first place. If you wanna throw the argument of DM domination at me, sure I won't fight back. But if everyone is using it then I won't consider it overpowered, just plain annoying - but hey, that's the entire thing that thing is supposed to do thingy. But I got y'all some great news: all turrets will get a Pulsar augment eventually! So... maybe in the far far future an anti-Pulsar augment may become a reality? For now, try to avoid Pulsars as much as possible (challenge: impossible you can do it, I believe in you ?) and let's hope for this new Pulsar wave to be gone ASAP.

Smoky Jammer and Railgun Jammer will be handed out at a later moment, January 12th to be exact. I don't know the reason behind it, probably not completed yet

This is the way, but switching between keyboard and mouse-controls is a nuisance when you requip frequently. In Tanki Online the turret follows the direction of the camera instead of the other way around, hence the camera operation for RGC, AGLM and Mortar does not function properly. It would be great if the developers looked for a solution for this, perhaps an alternative camera rotation. In the meantime, I would suggest to either use a horizontally turning augment (Adrenaline, Harpoon, AP-core) or use a hovering hull. I used to play with aglm and hopper and had top-tier performance with it

Yes and no... XT-drones are classified as individual drone-variants: they are not skins that can be equipped and unequipped. These drones can be obtained during every challenge where the player with the most stars (earned in battle or bought) gets one as a prize. A maxed XT-drone grants 2734 GS - a regular drone provides 2733 GS - meaning that a player is able to reach a gear score of 10000 (such as this tanker). So far the only drones that have such skin are Crisis and Hyperion. It is to note that both drones consume more supplies than their default counterparts. They do not provide any stat-boosts (edit: additional stat-boosts, they function exactly the same as their default versions) are only meant as an exclusive cosmetic item.

What's your opinion on the delay before removing a destroyed tank from a map?
Blutaar replied to 0179432 in Archive
I don't like the update either, or at least how it is currently implemented. Both crucial and inferior movements during gameplay have become unnecessarily difficult and awkward, up to the point that I can no longer say that the pros are outweighing the cons. There are plenty of places on various maps with small widths that make it impossible to manoeuvre through once blocked by destroyed tanks. Taking a flag/ball from a destroyed team member and returning your own flag has become a nuisance; at some moments it isn't even strategically anymore, just plain annoying. I have no idea how many seconds the dead tanks remain on the ground, but most of the time it feels like ages. To improve the implementation of this concept and also prevent gameplay from slowing down, I suggest reducing the delay of removing destroyed tanks to only a few seconds. An alternative solution could be to reduce the weight of dead tanks (although I am aware that would be physically illogical). -
plenty of players use capital 'i' and lowercase 'l' to make similar nicknames as well, another known method. i have seen that player a couple of times in battle too. i don't know if they renamed tir account, or that the account is just really old. curious about the answer though

Also, the skin looks awesome. Probably their most detailed HD-design so far. Looking forward to seeing what the remaining turrets will look like once converted to HD
-
In the V-Logs it was already mentioned that converting all original M/Mk-skins into HD is an extensive and lengthy process. So far 12 (soon to be 13) 'old' skins have been updated to HD since the release of Hornet HD in 2020. With the remaining 8 original skins to be updated, as well as the other skin-series (XT etc.), bringing back previous versions of turrets and hulls will take years - not to forget that maps are expected to be updated in the (far) future as well. Plus new turrets and hulls such as Tesla and Ares don't have alternative Mk-skins. Designing new skins for their former modifications would take a lot of time as well. I do agree that the old modification skins were really nice and added a special feeling to upgrading an item. But we have been past this years ago, unfortunately. TL;DR: it is not time-efficient or worth the efforts.

it would look more realistic, but it does not correlate to how (in-game) tanks move. if it were to be driven like a car, then the mechanics of driving would be different from regular Viking, or any tank in that regard. a few years ago, developers reworked the movements and controls of hulls so that they acted more like tanks instead of cars. e.g. if you press [w] or [left arrow], a tracked hull will turn to its left while staying on its position. if a wheeled vehicle turns its wheels to the left, it cannot move unless it moves forward - and if doing so, the vehicle will make a turn instead of rotating on its middle point. that being said, it would be interesting if Tanki introduced a new series of hulls with wheels instead of tracks.

Does anyone else think that the design/art direction was better looking in the "Legacy"-skin era?

If there is a skin for an item I often use, I would like to have that skin for sure -
inflation really be like that

OP asked what the creator tag is used for and I answered. I searched for it on the TankiWiki some days ago because I didn't know what it was for either. People can tag any creator they like - it doesn't have to be a creator with the greatest content, that's not what this function is for (it isn't logical either since 'the greatest' is merely subjectively based). You can compare it to fans indirectly supporting their idol. That said, it is merely an option. You are not forced to be subbed to a creator.
-
When a player purchases something from the in-game shop with real currencies, the corresponding content creator will receive an undisclosed percent of the proceeds. So let's say you plan to buy 24 000 tankoins for €250,- while having the creator tag 'JUMPER', a certain percentage of those 250 euros will be sent to the player Jumper. Only content creators such as official TO-youtubers can own such creator code. Normal players cannot obviously

Scorpion was designed to counter campers from large distances. Ironically, most users are camping with it as well

If you equip Vulcan with RAT it becomes a pretty decent combo. Not powercreeping in any way, but a good option regardless
