Even if that is true, so what?.. How can we use that as an argument against some arbitrary update?
-
I once got a 0 in my English test. Come on, one test hardly matters. If you're average score is good, then it doesn't matter how much you score in one test. However, if you feel yourself weak in Maths, you can find some fun ways to improve yourself in it. Play some maths games, puzzles, etc. Check out Khan Academy. It's the best educational project I've seen so far.

I actually never understood why players use that argument. Like, why? What's the point? If Tanki's losing players, they can notice it too! Why would they continue with the alleged 'self destructive updates' if it's hurting their income? Let there be 200k players or 2k players, it's pointless to use that argument. They have a dedicated analytics team. Their whole job is to watch numbers.

No. Mobile site has brown background.

Even if I do, it's as good as any other player saying it. And from what I know about mults and cheaters, they don't care about what other players want.
-
To be honest, I haven't seen that either. Ever. But just because we can't see it doesn't mean it's not happening. There aren't enough battle mods but they're putting in maximum effort, even if it's not enough for the whole game. As for the second issue, I don't have any authority outside forum. Chat mods don't have authority outside chat. We cannot intimidate players by saying, "Play mult noob or I'll ban you!". That's abuse of our power, technically and we can't do that.
-
I don't get it. How does that relate to what I said?... I'm saying Moderators try to educate and inform players rather than ban them. Exactly what I'm doing here. I know there are some arrogant and annoying players who don't play properly but being an annoying character isn't 'bannable'.

Something is weird... My brother hasn't been winning any challenge whereas I'm winning all...

Answered. You can use Q&A topic ask questions and discuss the latest update in their respective official topics in News section. Closed.

Not true. The whole moderation policy is based around educating rather than banning. If players ask genuine questions and a chat mod is present, he'll surely answer. They tend to stay silent most of the times as players bombard them with useless comments and questions as soon as they see them in chat. That not only takes up their time but also leaves genuine questions unanswered. So yeah, they have to balance it.

Actually, video games are an amazing way to bring out a child's potential since they provide an interactive environment for a child to explore without any risks. Take Minecraft, for example. Isn't it a great platform for a child to bring out his creativity, architectural or survival skills? I see video games as a form of art. Most parents who are against video games won't have that much of an issue if their child indulged in, say painting or watching good movies. I find that wrong since video games are also, in fact, a new and evolving way of expressing your ideas in a more detailed and interactive way than ever before. It's not just watching a movie, it's living inside it. Of course, it can become dangerous if left alone. That's why we need parents to involve themselves with this. They need to make sure that their child is getting all the right values. Played God of war? Make sure the child understands the pointlessness of violence. The player will evolve with the character and understand the blunder he has committed as he throws himself into the Aegean sea at the end. So, basically, video games are new. They are still evolving and they will get better. As adults or soon to be adults, we need to make sure they evolve in right direction instead of suppressing them. The more we make attach stigma to games, the worse we make their future. Let's not allow that to happen. :)

Yes... Moderate everything. Don't become a slog and lose your humanity but don't become a homeless addict either.. :p

I agree. But some parents are skeptic just because they perceive video games as 'a waste of time' and something which anti social teens in the basement do. That's the image of video games that many parents have, especially in conservative societies. That's what we need to change.

It's not so much of a payment than a compensation for the time we spend doing moderation when we could be playing and enjoying ourselves.

Topics MergedI believe you have made a wrong idea of the moderation team based on limited experience you've had with some of us. Our administrators do strict checks on our daily activities so there's no chance of being lazy and trolling around neglecting our responsibilities. Also, our guidelines require us to be courteous to all players and use the 'mod power' only as a last resort. As Mserbia has already said, you can contact the concerned administrator if you have had issues with a particular moderator(s). Also, kindly use this topic for posting complaints since this is directly read by devs.

I do not defend anyone since I am under no obligation to do so. My responsibility is to act as a medium of communication between devs and players and that's exactly what I do. I try to explain intentions of devs to players and pass on players' feedback to devs. Yes, pretty much everyone. Even amongst ourselves, helpers have different, sometimes opposing, views on an update. Though you'll rarely (or never) see us posting hate posts against updates in forum since we can directly tell devs how we feel about it. Not true. We are free to post anything we like as long as we don't degrade the image of a moderator or moderation team in general.

And starting the week after next, we'll have sale after sale on garage items. It's balanced. :)

Not really. You don't always go for counselling. I've had two paranormal experiences which I know no one will believe. I just shrug it off and accept the fact that there are things we don't know about yet...

No one believes it until they experience it.. And then no one believes them...

They brought them back because of the new update. It's possible they'll remove/add more maps. That's just progress of the game. Alterations are an interesting feature allowing players to tweak their Turrets to suit their playing style. Players have been asking for such kind of a thing for a long time and alterations are a good way to do it. Paint protection was flawed from the beginning. This is how it should have been done from the start but better late then never. It was annoying for players to identify every paint and remember it's protections. Of course, after a while, you got used to it, but it's a redundant and unnecessary profess and it would have only become more and know difficult with addition of new paints. Now, paints are just for looks and one press of Tab key will show you who has protection against your turret and how much. I believe the latter system is much simpler and makes more sense. Now we have at least 2× the combinations for protections and we don't even have to learn it up. Battle Creation feature has logical intentions and they have been explained in forum as well as in Vlog. No one asks for updates but that doesn't mean they're not not required. A game needs to grow and evolve with time. Everyone, including devs, want to get rid of lags, mults and cheaters. It's for everyone's advantage but it can't be worked like magic. There's no way to just press a button and remove all mults and hackers. However, steps are being taken towards it. As explained in previous Vlogs, there will be a matchmaking system which will allow players to play against players of similar skill level. It's being implemented step by step and the battle creation update is a part of it.

If anyone's parents are being too skeptic about video games, show them this:

When said gambler, I didn't mean gambler in literal sense as I made clear in my last post. Apologies for ambiguities and apologies to others for dragging this for rather long.
