  1. If we start being strict, the whole 'Music' topic in Off topic discussion will be shut down since practically all music / music videos contain such stuff nowadays.
  2. I doubt that others didn't go put in the same amount of hardwork as you. You're not the only one. You did your best but others did better. That's nothing to be sad about. I know people who have attempted an exam over and over again till they got selected. That is perseverance. Don't be a sore loser. Learn from this and keep trying.

    What has happened to TO?

Quite an unnecessary stereotype, if you ask me. Especially, considering that most of the helpers team keeping the community clean and organised is comprised of these 'irresponsible' and 'little-brained' teens. The apparent deterioration in player quality is not because of teens and kids but rather increase in playerbase in general. When the game was new, it had a small population and was shared mostly amongst hardcore gamers. Eventually all kinds of people started playing including those who are dedicated to games, those who just play for some relaxation, those who play to escape real life, those who see games as a place to vent their frustration... And so on and so forth. And even though you might think otherwise, these personalities are hardly age dependant. I can name at least 10 players who are 30+ and yet troll around, play with no apparent morals and ethics, freely abusing players in chat and forum. On the contrary, I know some teens who wouldn't do any of that even if provoked to maximum extent. Also, I doubt Tanki could've remained 18+ for any length of time. There's not really any mature content in it. And, as I said, even keeping it 18+ wouldn't have prevented such players. Because they exist at all ages, in all places.

Changes in the battle creation system

Well, in your own words, you're entitled to your opinion. Objectively however, most players seem to be satisfied with the map diversity. There are, obviously, quite a few drawbacks which have been extensively discussed in previous pages with many solutions proposed. What actually gets implemented remains to be seen.

Changes in the battle creation system

Technically, that was the case before the update too. And it was much much worse. Players who disliked Polygon, Noise, Rio, etc had no choice because no one would join the battles on other maps. Now, with the battle button it's much more fair. Players get to explore and maybe like rarer maps. The battle button, however doesn't differentiate between any maps so you'll still find some Polygon and Noise battles in the server which you can join directly.

Yeah.. Map based missions have become an issue after the latest update. The feedback is being collected and sent to devs continuously. Many good ideas have already been proposed to tackle this problem. We'll just have to wait and see. P.S. It was also said that if they become a big issue, map missions will be removed.

Topics Merged Let me just debunk some of the 'past was great' points: - Punishment for the mults; ~ No. Mults existed then too and in far greater numbers than today. The definition of 'mult' has become so vague to most players now that anyone missing a shot is termed as a mult. - Play a fair game was the rule (trust me, im not joking); ~Not at all. We had players ruining XP battles by using prodigi. We had tons of hackers and cheaters. - We dont had useless missions, we just had daily bonuses (not a great deal, but more practical); ~Daily missions actually give you a better deal than Daily gifts. The only reason someone wouldn't like it is if he doesn't want to play and just wants free stuff with no hard work. - The MODs acted equally and with no fear (we miss MD21 and Jack as MODs); ~Although both those mods were pretty awesome, moderation in general wasn't as good as it is now. The system was different and many mods abused it to gain more crystals. Many players were banned unfairly and we're victimised. The moderation system has gone through many changes since then and the system is much know fair now. Also, mods are now encouraged to answer more questions and help players rather than ban them. - Most of the weapons were the same; ~If you mean balanced, it was far from that. Pre rebalance, Tier 1 weapons became obsolete and there was a big buyer - free player gap. Even post rebalance (in 2013/14) many kits were avaliable which made players OP even against ranks much higher than his. - Golds were for noobs and low ranks; ~ And yet the battle very nearly stopped at 700 fund. If anything, Gold Box has much less value now than ever before. With Gold rains and what not, a single Gold drop isn't received with as much enthusiasm as before. - High ranks used to play like warriors and not like.. Like... You know. ~Not sure what to say to this. High ranks still play good. :/ - Only low ranks played hidding; ~Um, could you explain more? - Unfortunately the players could join with guns M1 against M3 (Even with several suggestions, the DEVs insist in allow it). ~Tbh, this problem existed then and still exists now (Possibly even more so due to MU's). There's not really any solution to this. Some players manage their garage well while some still get stuck with M2's at M3 ranks. Narrowing the rank ranges will prevent friends from playing with each other so that's not a plausible solution.

    Words of Advice

I would actually argue against that. Basing your whole psychology on long term thinking will only lead to depression and pain. As you said, "But, "was a mod for 2 years" 10,000 supplies level 2 M4 galore.....ain't nobody got time for that!!". Yes, they do. We do. It is human nature to do activities which they enjoy (And tbh, being a mod actually gives you some skills but that's a whole new topic). Do you regret playing football with your friends whole summer back when you were 12? Don't you think that time could have been spent gaining some 'life skills' and doing some long term planning? No? Why? Because it's absurd. Obviously, you have to plan to some extent. You have to study now and get good marks to get educated in a field of your choice. No one can just spend their whole lives just doing stuff to help them in long term (No.. Not even Asians. #NoRacist). You want to spend 3 hours playing a virtual game? Sure, go ahead! Just don't do it to an extent that it adversely affects your behaviour and academics. That's control. That's not shunning. As for leaving legacies and stuff... Sure. It sounds nice on paper. But we really don't have billions of amazing legacies. It is very rare to find people like that who outperform everyone else around them. But can everyone do that? Quoting a line from a movie I think everyone must have seen, "If everyone is super, no one will be." That has much deeper implications than what seems on surface. So, am I telling you that you're just a normal kid who can't do anything great? No! Of course not! But I cannot force you to do that. No one can and no one should. That passion comes from within not without. The great people weren't forced to shun their whole lives and focus one the 'things that matter'. Of course we see that these people faced many hardships and yet they climbed the mountain. Well, let me tell you another thing: For every one such person, there are thousands other who were forced to face these hardships and ended up nowhere. Decades later, when you are on your deathbed, you don't want to regret your life. You don't want to remember your teenage and youth years as the time of grinding and toil just to achieve a goal which probably didn't even matter in the end. I was reading a nice article somewhere which was about a survey of people on their deathbeds. Most of the people regretted the fact that they didn't give more time to themselves. They regretted that they allowed themselves to be led by the herd trying to do things they didn't like. Do you really want that? In the end, I would just like to say that enjoy the little things around you. Face hardships, learn some skills but only those which you enjoy. Enjoy painting? Enjoy writing? Improve yourself in that. Enjoy playing MMO's? Go ahead! Game industry has a good future and there are tons of possible careers there. Just remember that they don't want game addicts who flunked school.. XD. (Another interesting fact: An avid action gamer can track upto 10 objects at a time on screen while an average human can do only 4-5..Won't that be a good skill to have when you're in military and have been given a job to track things via drones?). Don't over think. Be a little selfish. The people who are criticising now will be long dead when you're reviewing your life. They won't matter. Play that game. Go for that night out with your friends. Enjoy the movie. Just don't overdo it ;)

  16. Wrong question to ask in this forum, man.. :(. It will only lead to more violation of rules (as it already has. Quite a few posts hidden -_-). In any case, if anyone (I'm looking at you, iamthegr8est1) thinks that homosexuality is something unnatural or wrong, it is not. And I can explain it in a perfectly scientific and logical manner. But not here. We do not want a flame war here. Feel free to PM me and I'll gladly discuss but please stop posting anything which is discriminatory in nature.

    moderators are weird

Answered by DejectedTomato. As for the other issue, I seriously doubt that a mod wouldn't have answered your questions. As mods, most of our work involves answering questions by players and helping them with various issues. I know I speak for all Moderators when I say that we won't leave your sincere questions unanswered just because you have a bad karma. The only reason we won't answer is if we know that you're trolling and/or have no interest in getting an answer or you just want to flame (argue for the sake of arguing). For obvious reasons, these players have to be given 'special treatment'. Again, if you think you got an unfair ban AND you were treated unfairly by a moderator, contact their administrators and they will deal with both issues. We are not robots. We're hoomans  Closed.

Well, yeah. I have to admit that Mu's create a big gap, especially in lower and mid ranks. Even small time buyers find it difficult to compete with the big 'sharks' who pay thousands of dollars and fully MU their equipment. Luckily, these kind of players are tiny in number and they get to higher ranks pretty quickly. But still, it would indeed be nice to have some kind of solution to narrow this gap.

Topics Merged Mind your attitude! You won't get any answers this way. Nothing is pay to play. Invest your time, earn crystals and use them to buy pro pass. It is more profitable than before and also brings a better experience by allowing you to play battles customised to suit your gameplay.

Changes in the battle creation system

I'm not sure what 'past' you're referring to. Battle funds haven't had any drastic changes in recent times. If anything, they have been increased after the introduction of Legend rank. And we still have special gold boxes (We had one just over a month ago in Halloween).

Changes in the battle creation system

Since regular players can afford pro passes now (at least, more affordable than they were before), they can have even better experience of battles of their choice and playing with their friends in private. Earlier, they were forced to play duels or tandems(or some even number) if they didn't want others to mess with their battles. Now they can even switch off auto balance and basically enjoy with friends in any way they want. And yes, mods do get crystals as compensation but I've only recently become one so there's not much contribution of that to my career.

Changes in the battle creation system

Yes, you have to buy PRO pass but to buy that, you need to spend a virtual currency which you can earn in game for free. Technically it's still free to play since the only thing you're actually investing is your time and energy and not real money. Think of it this way: You have to buy M1/2/3 equipment using crystals. Hulls and Turrets are an important part of game mechanics and you're being 'forced' to spend crystals on them. Why doesn't anyone complaint about that? Obviously, it's a nonsensical thought because there won't be a game otherwise. A balance is required between income and currency sinks in any game. For example, when Tanki originally started, each tank had an engine which needed repairs after some use. Devs realised that this crystal sink was outweighing the income and hence the feature was scrapped. What the basic problem now is the reluctance to change. In my whole career so far, I don't remember creating more than 10-15 non pro battles successfully. Whenever I created, very less or no players joined so it's not like this problem has arised after this update. This was always a problem. This update is overall positive (in ideal conditions) because it removes the middle ground of partially customisable battles. Now you either have an option to fully customise it as per your liking, or play random battles to kill some time. Of course, there are players like myself who play only few times a month and even though we would like to play PRO battles, it's not profitable for us. Many ideas gave already been suggested to solve this problem and hopefully, devs will implement some changes to make this system better for all of us.
  23. A mine hunt requires you to look for mines which have been set up before (usually in difficult positions) and try to destroy them. An STG however, is an event where players divide themselves into two teams (attackers and defenders). A Gold Box is dropped and defenders set up lots of mines around the gold box. Then, attackers try to get the gold box while defenders try to stop them. There's usually only one gold in STG so the video you saw must have been a kind of gold rain.

Changes in the battle creation system

No, it won't. Because by moving PRO pass to shop, Tanki will basically be restricting free players from creating battles at all which means that they will be restricted from accessing an important game mechanic. That is not free to play.
