  1. You cannot create a Non pro battle now. Only the server does that when someone clicks 'Battle' button and there's no battle avaliable for him. If you want to play with friends, you can either join a existing non pro battle and invite them, or ask them to buy a pro pass. You can further discuss this update in the Official Topic. Closed.

    Waiting to change equipment in battle

    Yes, but the old timer was too less. Someone would change turret and then you'd change your module and so on. Players spent half the time in garage instead of actually playing which is why the timer was increased.
  6. This topic is basically sharing methods to flood the chat and hence, in a way, encouraging players to break rules. These aren't tricks but misuse of chat functionality. For this reason, I'm closing this topic. Closed.

    How long does it take for a post to appear?

    All depends on workload of Moderators working in that section and the type of section. AW section topics are usually dealt with within a day while clan topics or I&S topics can take quite a few number of days to be approved/denied. 4 hours is simply too less time for any section requiring approval. Unless you're lucky and moderators don't have a long queue of topics, it's very rare to have something approved within a few hours. Just have some patience and wait at least a day or two before contacting the concerned Moderators via PM. Also, this section is for Technical issues only. You can ask a single question in Q&A topic. Closed.

  12. Hm.. Interesting. I never thought about it that way myself. But I'd say that devs do take into account map diversity and game mode popularity into consideration when making changes to game balance. If there are twice as many large maps than small maps, then they wouldn't try to reduce number of Railgun players or increase Isida players by deliberately making it OP/UP. It doesn't make sense. So, when they say balance, they don't actually mean exactly the same percentage of players using each equipment, but rather that none of the equipment is being discarded due to it being UP or the other way round (No equipment being overpopular due to its OP nature). Even here, some considerations have to be made. For example, Hornet is extremely popular despite not being OP but it does well as an all rounder. So, devs won't try to undermine it's abilities just because it's popular but only if it's parameters are making it much better than others in some way.
  13. Won't both those motivations lead to same result? The only way to make sure all Turrets get used is by making them all effective.

    I acknowledge and appreciate your feedback. However, the communication gap occurs because players think like players and developers think like developers. Devs have long term plans and know exactly how each feature affects the game mechanics. They see the big picture and they also see the numbers. Players like you and me, on the other hand, have our personal experience with the feature. Both point of views are necessary to ensure development of any game. As for this update, the reason devs haven't said anything like, "We're sorry..." is because the update is going as intended (At least, for last week. What happens this week and later when all players don't have PRO passes remains to be seen). Most players are seeing only one fact: They have to pay to create battles now. And they don't like it. That's why many posts are pointless hate spewing. However, we also have a lot of players like yourself who are(or at least try to be) calm and level headed. These feedbacks are both negative and positive in nature and both have been passed on to developers by us (that's kinda what a moderator does). So, all said and done, devs have a lot of feedback from the community but it just takes time to go through it and implement any changes (if required). I (like any other logical person) know that the update isn't perfect and could do well with some more changes. But it's headed in the right direction for now. The reason you see mods speaking in favour of most updates is because most of the time, we're trying to explain things to players who are spewing hatred for illogical reasons. If they start supporting all updates with same enthusiasm, perhaps you'll see us doing the opposite and pointing out flaws in each update xD.

    MMO's in general are designed for two major categories of players: The elders (those who have been playing for a long time) and the newbies. Usually, no one thinks of making an allowance for elder players who start all over just for fun. After all, it's their choice and not the game mechanics itself which is leading them to make new accounts. In Tanki, however, there is a scope for such players (even I have 2-3 alts in newbie ranks) but even so, the game cannot be designed completely around us. When designing for newbie ranks, devs will think of players who are actually new and don't know anything about the game. That's where my previous statement applies. When designing for elder players like us, they'll make changes at higher levels (like the recent Global Update which completely changed things at M3 level). So, I hope you understand why what you're asking cannot be done. The battle button has maximum utility at those ranks for players who are actually new. It doesn't make sense to allow them to create battles for free and then later make them pay for it.

    You're contradicting yourself. If you're a new player, why would you have any preferences for maps or modes? On the contrary, you would want to explore everything and for that, the battle button works perfectly.
