  1. hehe On test server I could join XP/BP with Hopper. I can't imagine how it could appear unless new hulls are allowed in all battles by default and they need to be then excluded individually in code, so it is most likely not a bug. Did you try joining a format battle with the new hull?

    I'll allow myself reply to a topic that died already, rather unfortunately because it deserves more attention. The topic of negative changes is a debate between the majority of players and game staff, players speaking of their experience and staff giving excuses. I have been observing the situation and noticed a large decline in active users after updates such as hull augments, new drones, etc., so I am sure the updates are the reason, especially that I myself and many players I know find them bad. Unfortunately, this is the bane of the F2P business model — developers keep adding new P2W features so buyers always have something to spend on. The game needs to keep changing even if it is in a perfect state, and over time the overload of forced changes kill it.
  3. Just noticed a Hopper in XP/BP. The devs could have added a separate format for XP/BP/Hopper. But no, forcing XP/BP players to deal with it and killing a player-created game mode is too important. Hopefully it can't be used in XP, but IDK for sure Joining format battles with Hopper is unsportsmanlike. It is also a player's contribution to the game's death.
  4. Are you trying hard to believe it because you're bonded to this game, or do you actually think so? You used the word 'and' instead of 'so', but it still seems as though you thought that frequent updates our beloved devs implement might save the game. More than likely the opposite.
  5. Tanki online is already about spamming keys rather than actual plays, so I think this is a good idea. But it doesn't make sense to keep the game 3D if it must be so. It should just be a clicker with crystals as a currency and tank hulls/turrets/equipment for increasing income.

    You're not alone, I covered that in my first post on this topic, and you can safely assume most people acknowledge that. But the devs keep making game-breaking updates (whoever comes up with them must have terrible game designing skills combined with unhealthy confidence), while fixing bugs seems to be a low priority matter for them. Noise is just an example of a map that got completely destroyed by Magnum. In reality, playing on any map on which Magnum is viable, such as Serpuhov, is way worse now. You can get hit behind a wall while sneaking, and often you won't even be able to cross the middle of the map even if you are careful. Often they will splash you when you're in a 1v1 scenario. And when you take it on at close range, it turns out to have great DPS. Though even if it had 10 secs of reload time the whole artillery mechanic is pointless in this game.

    Indeed the mechanics have not changed, but new turrets (especially Magnum) make the gameplay a ton worse, and on some maps even kill it completely (Noise, for instance). New drug mechanics make tanks live shorter, tanks now are almost always on full drugs, you just have to rush in. So drug battles are now worse, though battles with no drugs are free from this problem. Also, turret balance. many turrets have changed, some are OP, some have different roles. There wasn't really any best turret back in the day, now there are. He was not. Crystal farming in non-PRO, XP in certain PRO battle modes, not format battles.

    Crystal farming is essentially working for an ultra low pay then spending everything in-game. Good point about the gold box, but it is still bad that MM battles have so much better rewards than PRO. And I do not believe that the whoever exactly stands behind that is being honest with us. Removing funds from XP/BP is just meant to make people play non-PRO, just like Mk and Tk updates were meant as an excuse for making everything more expensive and drones were added as another P2W feature, not to enhance gameplay.

    Apart from opinions there are also facts. Your opinion may be that non-PRO is better nowadays, but in fact most players preferred to quit playing it, meaning that in fact old Tanki was generally preferred by players. Nothing wrong in being surprised that others think differently. I do not know what god(s) you believe in, but maybe you mean Hermes, the Greek god of thieves? You can have fun in-game while getting rewards to be able to compete with those who grind MM and occasionally enter PRO or just spend lots of money in-game. IDK what is so great about pride, but I can't see how being able to buy something like a paint or new equipment made format battles boring or less competitive. MM battles overall are already failing. Who needs new stuff in the game? The game could stay as it was in the past with optimization updates, anti-cheat. etc. Why are you so worried about some negative feedback now when you support devs who make updates despite tons of negative feedback, only to see that regular guys who just play the game or players like me who like to analyze things like gameplay are actually better than their professional game designer? And even when so many people have quit and a large part of those who are left still complain Hazel still keeps showing us that hasn't learned from that. Indeed, you can't win them all, but you can try winning the majority. Also, since when is adding new turrets something people ask for? It is the devs that keep implying that players are looking forward to things like Ares. Just keep watching the V-LOGS while ignoring reality.

    Not directly leveling, but playing to get in game items, not for fun. And not just skins, lots of other rewards that you have to pay for as well. Power leveling is essentially the same except that you do not get such a big advantage because you get less rewards compared to how quickly you can rank up. Fun = being destroyed by P2W players without any chance to fight back? Or, from a buyer's perspective, driving around mindlessly and killing enemies on your path as though they were some easy bots? No fun either way.

    Using format battles was never a good way of power leveling, and playing MM is for many essentially power leveling as people play it for rewards, not for fun. Indeed the 99 or rather 100% are hurt

    Even though the topic seems to be some sarcastic joke mocking those who actually have an idea what changes Tanki could use, I will give my honest opinion. I voted for 'yes, but' in the poll. We do not need most of the game designer's work, just like it was not needed in 2015. What developers are needed for is game maintenance, adding new skins/paints to the game for steady income, and fighting hackers/solving problems. Unfortunately, the devs do much more than they should, which has been very unfortunate for this game. They might have some pact with the game designer aimed to keep their jobs or perhaps Semyon has no idea about what he is doing and keeps pointing fingers at 'power-leveling in XP/BP' and other non existent problems such as lack of diversity in-game while making game updates just for the sake of changing something.

    A large amount of players play MM just to get crystals anyway, would be the vast majority if not the fact that many have just quit.

    2015 was great, still had interesting battles rather that the short, spammy, unbalanced and chaotic battles we have now. 2016 was still way better than 2018, and even in 2018 the game was still enjoyable, though already significantly worse. Now the game is terrible, because in 2019 and especially 2020 we got loads of terrible updates the point of which was to hype people up and generate quick revenue at the cost of the game's future. Matches the current state of the game perfectly, but what do you have against games for teens? You don't mean 18 year olds for instance? Though being fascinated by explosions and silly features that in fact hinder gameplay doesn't necessarily relate to one's age anyway.

    Before you just had to have a decent tank and prots, not necessarily maxed out, now you need upgraded drones and augments, which are exceptionallt expensive with the best being practically unobtainable without paying real money. Not to mention that turret/hull/prot upgrades cost more now. Of course, you be able to do decently against maxed out nubs, some of which can't even turn their turrets, but even a mediocre player can wreck you with a powerful tank. The best that is left is XP/BP, which the devs dislike.
  18. Regardless how smart it is, the system we had in 2015 wass better for such a game, and would be more suitable now especially when the player base is so small (I wonder why ?)

    I can tell you the truth. This game is an example of the P2W economy model. When buyers get maxed out, they do not have anything to pay for. This is why the devs add new turrets, drones, ODs related to drones, augments, etc. Of course, devs say it is supposed to bring more 'diversity'. Sounds nice, but in practice diversity should by no means be priority for development. Anyway, I digress, since this is all a big lie anyway, the point is to keep the cash flowing. A big fail — barely anyone is hyped for new turrets/Ares/new drones nowadays, and even those that are get bored quickly. The game has become more chaotic, now to be competitive you need not only drugs and upgraded hulls/turrets/modules (which are more expensive now), you also need upgraded drones that are insanely expensive, and augments, most of which are accessible only to buyers, while the ones that are not are both expensive and flat out worse. Was there a problem with TO gameplay that needed Magnum to fix? Did drones and ODs actually make a positive impact on the game? Is the game better than it was in 2015 or even 2018? Subjectively I can tell you it is way worse. Attack-defense gameplay with moving around from cover to cover, sneaking, making pushes turned into a simple arcade game where you just spam drugs. use drones, attack without having much of an idea what might happen, and getting blasted by ODs at random. Objectively, numbers tell, no, shout the truth to us, tanki devs included.

    Sorry, it might look modern, but it is way less practical. More complex and harder to browse through even with hotkeys. I'll take that as a joke.
  22. I know how you feel. In the past you could at least use some driving to avoid fire. Now you'll get OD's or hit by Magnum ( I wish TO was back like it was in late 2014. I'd play more if it were so.

  24. I am confused, because I myself complain. I played without overdrives before they were introduced. Way more fun. Not just rushing at tanks not knowing if they won't use their OD/clicking shift and being a boss for a few seconds or more. So I don't have to imagine, and I can confidently say that matches would be more fun without ODs.
