    There could be a seperate section for that, but: It is risky for Alternativa to allow this because someone could try to sue them for 'hate speech' on their site etc. They would then be forced to remove posts deviate from what is considered 'politically correct' which in turn would make actual discussion impossible. There are other forums specially meant for this.

  6. There is an element of strategy but still modules have a negative impact on the game. Was better in the past when you had to choose between a few fixed sets and have a lot of protection against one turret and less against others but now it is just about choosing modules against tanks you encounter the most and prioritizing enemies that have no prot against you. I'm afraid you don't look at the game in an analytical sort of way. Just being unique is no reason to add something. You need to analyze how it will impact gameplay, and Magnum has a negative impact on it
  7. I'll be even more radical by saying that Magnum should be deleted, protection modules as well and there should be no OD at all. IK protection modules have been part of the game since pretty much the beginning, but they have no positive impact on the game while causing balance issues and the need to constantly change equipment. Even worse now when you can use any set of protection modules you like.
  8. You got it all wrong. The game used to be about guerilla tactics, moving from cover to cover avoiding fire and trying to work around enemy defense. All this was killed by Magnum. Talking about medium-big map CTFs a few years ago. If you liked it different, you could play Poly CP/small maps. Now it is about driving forwards, spamming drugs, using OD against a bunch of enemy tanks. You aren't safe behind cover anymore due to the huge amount of splash damage we have now. No attack/defense/midfield, just one man pushes with OP equipment or tanks bunched up under a Titan dome.

  10. I'm not talking about balance here. It's just that the whole concept of a turret that can hit people behind multiple obstacles at long range is incompatible with this game. Cover should allow attackers to advance and defenders to avoid long range fire, and this is what it used to do back in the day. Also, a high skill cap doesn't balance being OP in any way. A turret that has greater potential than others in the hands of a good player has to be nerfed even if it is hard to use.
  11. Magnum is bad for the game regardless of the fact that it takes skill to use. It's not too hard though — I once played it on test server and after an hour my aim was pretty good. You can still readjust your aim btw

    When playing XP/BP, I often don't know if my shot landed perfectly right beside a wall or if I actually hit the wall itself. I can't test my accuracy. It also makes the game feel worse.

    You know, maybe they spent all their crystals on multiple turrets/hulls/prots without a discount. Now all players are clever with in-game currency spending and since it is easy to rank up now one could get to Major General without even knowing about 50% sales. I remember back in 2014 I spent crystals on MU/Speedups without 50/70%. Luckily it was a different account and I was only Sergeant-Major at the time. Though I now tend to calculate how I could make the best use of in-game currencies, someone else might just splash out on anything they feel like, which is very punishing in this game.

    And it is rather funny because the when it was first introduced the V-LOG told players not to be prejudiced towards it because it was supposed to 'learn' over time
  18. I'd treat my theory the same way — it may be inaccurate. I had to make an assumption regarding that. So I assumed TX had never generated much profit, but when it was first introduced Alternativa still had hope for the game to grow. After some time they started thinking what to do about it and in late 2019 they made their final decision.
  19. I agree with what you say because I think you didn't exactly understand what I wrote. I do not mean Alternativa wants to start phasing the game out next month. But the updates that the devs keep introducing lead TO to a decline yet they still roll them out. They clearly prefer making more profit in shorter terms rather than trying to maintain stability. New hulls and skins are easy to add — they involve mostly old mechanics. AP augments and resistances aren't a complicated mechanic to add. Now that the devs have learned to make flying hulls, they are adding new ones, just like they add new skins/drones/turrets/augments, because these things are stuff people pay for and apparently still generate profit. So they are adding new features while it pays off, but they do not seem to care about the game's future.
  20. Surely they do realize it. I suspect Alternativa may be having financial problems. They had been working on a more ambitious game since 2012, but when they rolled out Tanki X, it did not succeed. They spent a lot of time and resources but got nothing out of it — before TX was closed, they said the income generated by it didn't even cover server costs. My theory (very likely to be true): The devs were trying to milk as much money as possible from TO before closing it and continuing with Tanki X, but when TX failed, it turned out TO was to remain their main product, However, another problem appeared — the phasing out of Flash. So Alternativa kept making desperate moves attempting to make the game more profitable because moving it to HTML5 takes resources. This in turn made more players leave. Now they are left with an unbalanced game with a modest amount of players. It is possible that Alternativa will try to revive it and please players once again, but judging by the current situation it seems like they just want to generate as much income as possible before the game dies.

    With mouse you can maintain the exact direction you're aiming in, so I think that's not a problem. Mouse controls are better. The only niche advantage keyboard controls have us that you can adjust your aim a bit quicker because you only have to press a key. Other than that, mouse has crucial advantages: 360 view You can aim before you rotate your turret when firing spinshots, making them more accurate Your turret will automatically readjust if someone knocks off your aim — reaction time only affects hull movements in this situation. On the last point, someone could say you could overcome reaction time by judging where exactly your opponent wants to hit your hull. But realistically a player can change where they are aiming right before the shot, and shooting hitting tank corners is just random luck if your opponent is moving (due to lag, even the slightest PING can make it like that, not to mention 50 or 90 PING).
  25. The whole feature revolves around going to your garage all the time and switching equipment. Sort of like protection modules (which I personally dislike). The whole thing is pointless even as a non-p2w feature.
