    Bugs and Glitches Reports

The TO desktop client is built using Electron. Electron allows for running of a webpage within the application window using Chromium. Because it uses Chromium, the TO client uses pretty much the exact same caching system as do Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and other browsers built using Chromium. The cache is located in your AppData/Roaming/TankiOnline/Cache folder. This is a completely standard place to store cached files - many other applications use a similar setup. I've deleted this folder manually and modified individual files without any adverse effects on the game. 360 Total Security (which is made by some Chinese company and to me seems to be bloatware / adware) does not seem like a particularly trustworthy or useful program. And as I have said before, there is little reason to clear cached files unless you are running extremely low on storage space or there is a legitimate problem that you have with an application.

    Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

Something needs to be done about Titan's OD in general. On the one hand, it has many, perhaps too many counters. On the other hand, the defensive buff effectively grants invulnerability to tanks inside the dome. I feel that Titan's OD should be changed so that it is more resilient against other ODs but less resilient against standard turrets. Not sure how it should be changed though, because nerfing the defensive buff introduces the possibility that Viking's OD will become a new counter.
  3. Well, perhaps you may be able to ask, but do you think that you will receive an answer?
  4. The pain of playing Engineer. I tried to pick up a DA that was near a teammate that had just spawned. My teammate also went for the DA. Because I had Engineer equipped, my entire team would benefit if I picked up a drop, so I tried to push him out of the way, unsuccessfully. I understand that teammates are not always aware that the player fighting them for a drop has the ability to grant the entire team a supply. But this particular teammate apparently took it personally that I tried to push him out of the way, even after I explained in chat that I had Engineer. He proceeded to push, shoot, and try to flip me the entire battle. Naturally, we lost. Not sure how such players make it to Legend.
  5. Each bullet raises the temperature of the target by 0.07 units.
  6. I think that the new Railgun augments should only inflict status effects upon hitting more than one tank, similar to Hyperspace Rounds. Piercing is Railgun's "special ability" after all.
  7. Afterburn is too strong, period. 300 damage per second is substantial at high ranks and devastating at low ranks. In my opinion afterburn damage should be proportional to the temperature of a tank, like it used to be.

    Bugs and Glitches Reports

There's nothing wrong with having cached files on your PC. Your browser stores web resources locally so it doesn't have to re-download them in the future. When you start TO, it downloads game resources on to your PC and then re-uses them the next time you start the game. If your security program deletes those files, they will need to be re-downloaded again anyway, and besides, if the program deletes some necessary files the game may not function properly. The solution is simple - don't allow it to clear files cached by TO client. If you really need to clear the cache, you can do it yourself manually.

    Railgun HD

There were no augments/alterations for seven years from the game's release and I'd say players found the game pretty fun. I certainly did. Yeah, I would much rather know what to expect from enemy tanks than not know. When players know each others' strengths and weaknesses there are these curious little things called "strategy" and "teamwork" that emerge. Something which current battles sorely lack.

Every time new items are added into Ultra containers, the containers which players already have in their garages do not get updated with new items but are instead renamed to "Old" containers.

I opened 2000 Ultra containers, you can find the results here:

    Adrenaline augment

I consistently notice damage increases while using Adrenaline - for example, with Striker, at low health, medium hulls take only three shots instead of four shots to kill. Are you sure that you have the augment equipped? Note that the extra damage that Adrenaline grants is only dependent on the base damage of a turret, and is not affected by damage multipliers such as double damage or Booster. Suppose for example your turret did 1000 damage, and on top of that you received a 20% damage boost from Adrenaline, bringing the total damage up to 1000 + 200 = 1200. If you enabled double damage, you would deal 2 * 1000 + 200 = 2200 damage, not 2400 damage as you might expect. Thus you will not receive a significant damage increase when using Adrenaline and Booster together.
  13. Stun Rounds has exactly the same damage and reload as LCR, with the only difference being a slightly longer shot delay. It's basically a better LCR, and LCR is already one of the best Railgun augments. Also getting stunned by a Railgun on the other side of the map is going to be sooo annoying.

What changes would YOU like to see in Tanki?

Just a few I managed to think up; far from exhaustive. Removal of the following: Hopper Magnum Immunity augments, Heavyweight Augments that inflict stun or EMP, Autocannon, Incendiary Rounds, Scout, Plasma Accelerators, Minus-field Stabilization, Plasma Torch, Incendiary Rounds, Rapid-fire Mode Protection module system Archipelago, Brest, Massacre, and Highways Assault game mode Changes to MM: MM based on rank only Ability to select several modes to queue for Reworks of many of the MM maps; include enlargements, balance improvements, general quality of life and aesthetic changes Addition of new maps into the MM pool Have multiple versions of the same map tailored to each game mode Reduction of player density on MM maps - no more than 10v10 players per match Balance changes: Reversion of afterburn to its previous state, where damage dealt to a tank was proportional to its temperature Increase the effectiveness of freezing Rework of drones to provide only minor bonuses Restore variable HP within hull classes Rework of Titan's dome (not exactly sure how, but something needs to be done) Changes to Isida: reduction of damage, restoration of self-heal to a flat 20% of base damage (ignoring multipliers such as double damage, Adrenaline, etc) across all marks, variable healing rate based on whether healing target has received damage in past few seconds or not Restore Smoky's instant hit Adjust Railgun's damage / reload parameters depending on how effective it ends up being with no protection modules Significantly decrease the effectiveness of Gauss's charged shot and make standard shots more important Reversion of Shaft to its previous state, where its was not possible to one-shot mediums, partially-charged shots had lower energy consumption than fully-charged shots, and elevation and depression angles were greater when scoped in It should not be possible to obtain equipment before its unlock rank via Shop kits Visual changes: Major improvements to the UI - display more information about hull and turret statistics, reduce the number of different screens necessary to move through in order to accomplish basic tasks, change the color palette and overall visual style to something that isn't an eyesore Change the Smoky HD model to one that resembles the original turret more Ability to customize battle UI and an option to remove it entirely Graphical updates: comprehensive update to lighting system, higher quality props and textures, more particle effects, better-looking bushes, support for materials besides the plain diffuse material, dynamic lights, fog Spectator mode
  15. Yes. I usually use lock-on no more than 4-5 times a battle. Some battles I do not use it at all. Striker's main power lies in its arcade shots. Well, that's a player problem, not a turret problem.
  16. Completely disagree. The previous update not only improved projectile speed but also reload time. Striker has the highest DPM of its class. You shouldn't be using lock-on 99% of the time. The lock-on grace period could use a buff, but the lock-on period itself should not be changed.
  17. In my opinion Shaft needs to go back to how it was five or so years ago. It could not one-shot medium hulls, but only fully-charged shots would consume the entire energy meter and its angles of elevation and depression were greater. The old Shaft promoted a more dynamic form of gameplay. It encouraged you to fire partially-charged shots more often (since you would spend less time reloading afterwards) and allowed for taking up unconventional sniping positions owing to the higher angles of elevation and depression. The current Shaft promotes very dumb gameplay. Because reload time is constant and fully-charged shots can one-shot mediums, there is less incentive to fire quick, partially-charged shots, and a greater incentive to sit around waiting for an enemy to come into the line of fire. The worse elevation and depression angles encourage finding a comfortable spot and sitting there rather than moving about. All of this basically makes camping the go-to option for most Shaft players.

wut happened to the tank economy

Crystal earnings and experience gains are 2x and 4x what they were prior to summer 2020, respectively. In addition, crystals earned in battles are now heavily supplemented by crystals from challenges, containers, and missions.
  19. Shaft is expressly designed to have a better view of distant enemies. It has a scope, while other long-range turrets do not, so I don't think this comparison is apt.
  20. Railgun's HD model looks much better than that of Smoky. But no status effects for Railgun, please. We mere mortals must not question the motives of the lord of the forum.

    Idea for drone

Healing based on damage would be overpowered. How about a drone that restores 10-30% of the health that the tank is missing on a kill, with a 10 second cooldown? For example, if you had 1500/2000 HP, a kill would restore (2000 - 1500) * 0.30 = 150 HP. But if you had 500/2000 HP, a kill would restore (2000 - 500) * 0.3 = 450 HP, so you would gain more HP per kill if you had less health remaining.

    Hopper and Crisis: Why....Just Why?

Getting hit in the face gives my life more variety, uniqueness, and intensity. Variety, because it's not everyday I get hit in the face. Uniqueness, because getting hit in the face is quite a unique feeling. Intensity, because the pain of getting hit in the face is quite intense. I hope I get hit in the face more often in the future.
  24. Maybe ask in Vault 87?

    Whats your favorite paint?

My most used paint is Sakura. While I think it is one of the best garage paints, I think White Planet is the best-looking paint overall. Not so easy to come by now, unfortunately.
