    Firebird heating effect

Yes, afterburn damage begins as soon as the target's temperature exceeds zero. During the 1.25 seconds the target would receive 300 HP of damage (since afterburn does 300 damage per second). It will take 4 seconds for the target to completely cool down (since the rate of cooling is 0.1 units per second), so it will take 4x300 = 1200 damage. If the target is frozen by a Freeze, an augment that inflicts the freezing status effect (for example Smoky's Cryo Rounds), or by Dictator's overdrive its temperature will decrease and you may not inflict the full amount of afterburn damage. The point is that a tank will receive 300 damage for every second that its temperature is greater than zero, and that a tank passively cools down at a rate of 0.1 units per second.

    Bugs and Glitches Reports

This happens all the time with weekly containers. The containers are consumed, but no animation plays and no reward is given. Consumed containers that had no animation are returned back upon restarting the client and it is possible to try to open them again.

    Fast and slow ranking

I agree with @At_Shin. Completing missions and challenges is a good way to increase your crystal earnings because you gain experience twice as fast as you earn crystals in battles.

    Devs+poll

I completely agree that Hopper is game-breaking. If the developers intentionally release OP equipment, what makes you think polling players is going to make them change their minds? I think you are misunderstanding me. I am not trying to justify terrible updates, nor am I arguing that the developers are the source of all wisdom. What I am saying is that I do not think that polling players before releasing an update is a good idea, nor do I think polls in general are a good way to gauge players' opinions. Polls mainly capture a general sentiment and ignore nuances. There are pages and pages of detailed and well-written feedback on the forum which I think are far better than any polls.

Sure, player opinions should be listened to - but after something is introduced, and not before.

    Devs+poll

I gave an example of players being polled on a mechanic that did affect the game in a massive way - Overdrive. I disagree with this assessment. Again, I refer to the example of Overdrive. It made a good first impression on a lot of players because it was a new, interesting mechanic that promoted teamwork, and in some situations gave players with weaker equipment a chance against more powerful players. But behind those fuzzy first impressions lay the enormous problem of Overdrive enabling a positive feedback loop which resulted in very lopsided matches. That problem was not immediately evident to most players. Behind a lot of changes lie a lot of subtleties and "details of implementation" which players can rarely predict the effects of before experiencing them first hand. Sure, there are mechanics which are blatantly overpowered even on paper - such as AP augments - but these mechanics are usually introduced in the interest of generating revenue, and players' opinions are hardly going to change anything in those situations.

    Complaint Book

If I were a new player I think I would quit within a week. The game is simply unplayable if you have less than 7k GS. Matchmaking has been broken for an entire week. And not just a little broken - but completely so. Players thousands of GS and 15+ ranks apart are placed into the same battles. Hoppers ruin all matches - not just flag and ball modes. Buyers obtain extremely OP equipment well before free players can. I though Incendiary Band + Heat Immunity, afterburn, various augments, Hopper, Defender, etc, were bad enough at high ranks. But wow, it is another story at the lower ranks. What is already unacceptably OP at the high ranks is magnitudes worse at the low and mid ranks. The fact that augments don't have a minimum purchase rank is mind-boggling.

    Devs+poll

Whenever these sort of questions pop up I think back to the time the developers created a poll regarding Overdrive (which at the time was Zero Supply), and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. So no, I don't think the entire playerbase should be polled. Many changes have ramifications which are not always immediately apparent. I myself have initially reacted negatively to some changes and then changed my mind later, and vice versa.

Unfortunately there are a lot of mechanics which are "unbalanced" in theory but "OP" in practice.

    Smoky Autocannon

A Mk6 Autocannon Smoky would deal between 84.93 and 131.91 damage per standard shot, and 761.76 damage per critical shot. The average critical chance is 0.204, which means a critical hit will occur once in about every five shots. I did an analysis of the critical shot rate and damage per minute for various Smoky augments, which you can find here:

On the other hand, if you do not have Heat Immunity (which most free players do not), afterburn does an absurd amount of damage.

    Let's Discuss Containers!

I opened 2000 ultra containers on the test server for science. Here are the results. The approximate chances of receiving an item of each rarity are as follows. Common: 1 in 1.3 Uncommon: 1 in 8 Rare: 1 in 21 Epic: 1 in 23 Legendary: 1 in 63 Exotic: 1 in 182 Alternate visualization:

I also think that this is most likely the case, but rendering should (ideally) be a purely client-side function and should not depend on interactions with the server. Hence I have submitted a bug report.

    test your teamwork!

I used to leave flags for my teammates if for example they initially took the flag, then were destroyed and I picked up. However, one time I did this my teammate ignored the flag completely, after which the enemy came and returned their flag. After that I stopped giving flags to people.

    It is fun until Brigadier

Interesting, I think the opposite. In the mid-ranks you can get matched up against players with GS and rank far higher than yours. In the high ranks if you have over 8k GS then you will be more or less able to compete with every opponent you are matched up against.

Post Your Unpopular Opinion About Tanki

I consider the deserter feature and progress resets with each season as part of the league system. These are fairly standard features in other games with competitive ranking systems.

Post Your Unpopular Opinion About Tanki

First two are valid criticisms. I personally liked the league system, but I understand that it was not for everyone. Last one is rather subjective.

    Bugs and Glitches Reports

I think it is natural that FPS will decrease with more players. But the issue is not with FPS decreases, but with a decrease in CPU and GPU usage, of which FPS drops are a result. More players on a map should result in higher system resource usage, and not lower usage, as is happening now. When I play matches with players my GPUs lie at only around 20% utilization - there is still plenty of power remaining to give me higher framerates. But it is not being used. The game is underutilizing hardware in matches with players even though it uses the hardware fine in matches without them. That is the problem I'm getting at. A drop in 300 frames is not negligible.

    Bugs and Glitches Reports

It does matter, because sometimes my FPS drops below 60 in matches with players. Sometimes GPU usage drops to less than 10% and I get an absurdly low 30 FPS. In empty matches this never happens. In addition, there is much less input lag with 400 FPS than with 100. Regardless of whether the difference is perceptible or not, CPU and GPU underutilization is still an issue.

There is no fixing Tanki Online

Just because TX failed does not mean it didn't have good ideas or interesting mechanics. I think the core gameplay of TX was better than that of TO.
