WoT is not balanced and the MM system is one of the most heavily criticized parts of the game currently.
-
It's actually more subtle than that. The two parameters responsible for "pushing power" are weight and power. Hunter has more power, but Titan has more weight.
-
I could not get into WT ground forces no matter how much I tried. It just doesn't click for me. Planes are fun though.
-
That's the point; Viking trades stability and weight for speed.
-
It's how it used to be, a couple years ago. Sadly the devs decided to kill a large part of the variety between hulls.

The thing is, once you've played for 2 months and 2 weeks, you will be able to get 4 containers a week FOREVER, without worrying about losing your mission chain. It's a difficult start, but once everything evens out the system will be much more profitable than the previous one. Someone made the point that rewards from missions themselves are altogether more substantial than mission chain rewards. It's important not to forget this point. The devs are well aware that for some people missions are a major incentive to play the game. But I do not think the new system will reduce willingness to play; rather, it will simply make it less demanding. Right now some players are chained to the game and feel obligated to complete missions whether they like it or not because they will lose their chain otherwise. With the new system, the more often you complete missions, the quicker you get your prize, so the incentive stays without the stress. You can take breaks on occasion if necessary, but 4 containers can lure dedicated players back in eventually.

I'm fine with 10 minutes battles. A lot of players don't like the lack of choice MM will offer. Playing a map you don't like for 10 minutes is better than playing it for 15 in my opinion. It also makes blowouts less frustrating. Being steamrolled for 10 minutes > steamrolled for 15.

I like the mission chains, much better than previous ones. Looking forward to the update.

Interesting perspective. It is a psychological thing above all though, no one is obligating you to complete missions chains constantly. Daily missions alone suffice, in my opinion. I haven't done a full 4 week mission chain for over a year, but I have not had any problems with crystals. Sure, I could have more if I did, but I value game enjoyment over time spent grinding. Getting over that hump and convincing yourself that playing normally is good enough could help.

Players on TO forum are probably not the best people to ask this question.

How often do you play Tanki?
ThirdOnion replied to ThirdOnion in How often do you play Tanki? Archive
A few questions to get an idea of how often the community plays Tanki and what the main incentives are. -
According to the update notes, because falling down constantly was poor gameplay. To quote Hazel-Rah, "it turns out players liked collecting dropboxes on top and just capping flag on the bottom." In my opinion, it was done because the anti-cheat was constantly malfunctioning on that map.

Mammoth is supposed to have better pushing power than Titan according to the Wiki and game stats, but due to hidden parameters Titan wins out for some reason. So the only advantage Mammoth has over Titan currently is stability.
-
Would give a little too much of an advantage to lower ranked players.

Titan works well.

Your profile shows otherwise. Regardless, even if you don't play very often you should still be able to easily cover the cost of a PRO pass within one month. It's your personal choice whether you are willing to play in drugfests as you describe non-PRO battles or have a better chance in PRO battles. Others have pointed out that the drawbacks of a PRO pass are minor, so the rest is up to you.
-
The person I was replying to claimed that MM will take away freedom of choice in battles. I simply pointed out that was not true - nowhere did I complain about the cost of PRO pass.
-
It's a good combo at all ranks, since Isida's healing and damage are very good.
-
Every M4 is 455k without speed-ups. So I think you could get it for less.
-
Viking is the lowest hull, so even though that Hunter was not completely on the drop zone the edge of his hitbox was above yours.
-
The release of MM will allow players to make PRO battles without PRO pass. And lately I've been so frustrated with the number of blowouts that I'm willing to sacrifice map choice for a halfway decent game.
-
Missions and mission chains.
-
No idea. Are they using M2 or M3?
-
Dictator is in a really bad spot right now, in my opinion. It is slow and a huge target. The extra stability isn't really worth it; Hunter can do pretty much the same thing while being more versatile.

What's the point of getting Matrix kit when you already have Viking M1? I think you garage is fine for the moment.
