I am just starting to play with it, so all I know is what I have been experiencing. I was surprised at the speed of the single shot missiles. Fairly easy to lead the target when obstacles aren't present.
-
I believe it is patch #636. That was the patch that did two buffs for Striker: Decreased reload time Increased initial rocket velocity across all modifications by 5 m/s Haven't found any other "buffs" in that arena. Is this what you were referring to?
-
Okay...so similar to playing with Thunder...get the protection or face self-destruction in close-range confrontations.
-
Too fatal for yourself...or for the opposition?
-
I have all the augments except the Uranium one. Is that any value. I really like the Hunter one. Will try the stun, since I have been wiped out many times by a skilled striker using the stun missiles.
-
I think I will need to spend some time with that one! EVery other rocket blew up right in front of me:) Too funny. The "hunter" augment is really nice.
-
Just bought the striker...had received lots of the augments over the past year in different containers and contests. It is actually a fun turret to use. I am currently using it on dictator. What seems to be the best turret in your experience. You obviously have lots of experience with it. thanks!

Okay...I scored a Crisis Drone in an Ultra container...Lucky me (possibly). Since the speed leveling of the hulls, I have started using the Dictator and enjoy boosting my teams power via the OD. My question is that Crisis only lets one supply be in effect at a time. How does the Dictator OD impact use of supplies and how does picking up a dropped supply impact consumption of supplies when using the crisis drone? I am very curious if it is worth upgrading or not.

Sorry, what do you mean by that. Do you mean as the mammoth you do more damage on the sides? Or if you are trying to attach a mammoth that is using its OD to move to the side and shoot?
-
Any idea when the next sale is going on? I haven't spent much on drones. Did brutus to 20 a year ago. At last sale finally got Defender to 20. Was working on Blaster...got it to 11. Never imagined I'd be on heavy hulls. But thought it would be a good change of pace.
-
Are you all using it with blaster? I faced that with my wasp 7+, BA at 100% and Defender drone kicked in...I was dead in less than 2 seconds. It had the armor piercing augment too. It was crazy to face.
-
Just started playing with the mammoth after learning how to play with the wasp. It is soooo slow:) Cracking me up. I feel like a sitting duck in battles. Any tips for someone who got used to darting in and out of obstacles while shooting. Truly a completely different game with the mammoth.

Brutus does not need batteries. It effectively makes BA and BD, 100% and 100% with zero depletion of batteries. Solid and affordable to use.

The issue on most "OP" set ups is that if you pair the right drone with the right hull and the right turret and the right augment you can create a scenario where certain turrets perform a function better than most. When you start altering one facet of the turret or augment (i.e., reload time) just to reduce the effectiveness when paired with the booster drone you will mess up the performance in all the other arenas. The reality is the booster drone will only impact one shot before cool down (3 sec). I don't see too much OP nature to that since a missed shot, destroying the tank prior to fully charging the shot, etc. will simply waste supplies for the shaft user.

Okay...I instinctively apply DA upon respawn. Wasps get one shotted by several turrets. I finally saved up and deploy the defender drone and have found it has prevented one shot moments. I don't think I play many of the maps with the bad spawn points. Most of the ones I play I am able to get to cover before I am shot. Or at least they shoot me and it does zero damage since I am still in the mode of invulnerability.
-
Same here...but a confession was on the last sale I went all in on the defender drone. That has made the wasp much more long lasting in the battle field. Being small, fast, and nimble along with large shaft module and brutus or defender makes it a much easier escape vs spawn killers. Then I can hunt them down.
-
What hull do you use? I hate camping...prefer the mobile sniper mode, but I recently reacquainted myself with the shaft and its dynamics are certainly tweaked a bit from a few years ago. The LC was my favorite augment, but now it seems too underpowered. What do you use?
-
Shaft can't kill you after re-spawn. Now if you sit there after you spawn, that is on you:) It will only happen once against me...just don't be unaware that there is a shaft that is hunting at the spawning grounds. I do have high shaft protection, high gauss protection and high rail protection. Any turret that can one shot me, I gear up for.
-
I have a few accounts and one is shaft primarily...it is the lowest experience points per minute of play of all my turrets. It isn't really OP at all. It can be very fun to play if you are into assisting your team (such as setting the flag carrier free for your own team...or hunting down the flag carrier of the enemy). I can think back over the last 5-6 years at combos that truly were OP (murder hornets, current tesla combos, etc.). But shafts aren't too hard to avoid. I think playing with a shaft for a few years taught me what makes a target easy vs. hard. And the suggestion of removing critical damage from the arcade shot really doesn't make sense. I think the highest chance of a critical shot in arcade mode is something like 20%. In other words it isn't very frequent and with its reload time really isn't very fast. If you remove it from arcade, then add it to the sniper mode. I'd love to one shot a JGR without a drone.

I forgot to mention that by shooting at range and around corners, you are able to shoot into enclosed enemy bases to suppress and weaken defenses in CTF and Assault. It also keeps you out of harms way much better. Since getting it in an ultra container, I have switched to using the Wasp. Keeping mobile, finding angles, dropping the nuke, and staying out of shooting danger by using corners and walls. Loads of fun.

The rubberized rounds given a huge range of shooting options with the vulcan. You are able to play similarly to using the rico except you have a much faster shot with much longer range. It is devastating in boards with tunnels, ramps, and walls. It also allows for distance shots when the enemy is out of sight, but backed by a wall (i.e., hiding behind a barrier and using a magnum to hit your team). I've never made a video, but need to do this so you can see how fun it is.
-
When did that change? I have played since early 2016.
-
What do you mean instant hits? Talking about speed of bullets? If you enjoy any part of playing with the vulcan in the past, the rubberized rounds are a blast!
-
That seemed balanced to me. You finished 6th overall on the K/D and kept moving and shooting...not standing off shooting. Well played.

I am a fan of medieval history and love the idea of using a hover hull called "Paladin"!!!! It looks amazing and since I am just learning to use hovering hulls, think this would be the perfect one to start with!!!
