According to this website (https://www.zoominfo.com/c/alternativaplatform/345941058), the devs went from ~$800K revenue in the final quarter of 2020, to ~$20M revenue in the first quarter of 2021: If this is correct information, then what in the world is going on here?

I mean, they borrowed elements from Fortnite (Challenge/season pass), Overwatch (overdrives), and others that I can't tell you off the top of my head, so now it is basically a game for little kids with lots of cash to spare. It's for kids because only a child would be stupid enough to think that 300 bucks for an in-game bundle is a good way to spend money. Honestly, this pisses me off more than anything, the arrogance and daring of the devs to put these offers in the shop when the average Russian can't afford that with the salaries they have over there. Basically ripping off rich Westerners or inept people that have no financial awareness is what the devs are up to these days. Yea I have EMP rounds for Railgun from the Challenge, useful but not game-changing I would say. However I'm still unsure about how Railgun fares at Mk7 and higher ranks since everyone seems to have protections from it. I refuse to use Hopper even though I also have Crisis (only level 4 btw) because it is basically too easy, at least for the capture modes. In my opinion, especially as of late, the hovering hulls just trump the non-hovering ones with regards to OD. Look at Hopper, Crusader and Ares - with their superior OD charge times and better handling, I feel like (particularly the latter two) are underutilised but maybe that's just me.

By the way, a word of advice - if you ever decide to play with the hovering hulls it's far better to use a mouse - I'd say worth buying a mouse if you don't have one already, even a cheap one will do. But regular, non-hovering hulls are still easier to control with the OG keyboard controls, at least for me.

This is why you make the battle Private if you wanna drop golds for yourself or take screenshots, etc.

The problem is, the purpose and objective of the game these days is not to have fun AND progress on the way, but to do missions for the rewards WITHOUT it being a pleasant experience, like it used to be. Ultimately, in my opinion the game will never succeed if the devs determine that the purpose of the game is no longer primarily to have fun FIRST and everything else being secondary, as was the case years ago.
