I think it'll be like Magnum. At first, it was pretty difficult to use, but as you get more and more used to the controls it won't be that hard to master. Now it's mostly muscle memory - where I land shots with Magnum is not a challenge for me anymore.
-
Yeah, I know in other games like in Overwatch, where they're called "Ultimates", some are better than others but the ones that are more powerful can take many minutes to charge up fully. Granted, matches in Overwatch are longer than in Tanki, but the principle still applies. Link: https://overwatch.fandom.com/wiki/Ultimate_ability

I feel like the devs should set a limit to how many ODs can be used per game. For example, suppose all the ODs were hugely powerful (similar potency to Viking's OD), but with only one usage per 7 minute game. I would honestly be fine with that.
-
Agree. Right now Crusader's OD charges passively every 50 seconds. Just think about how insane that is - more than eight usages per game, versus less than two for Viking, if you don't earn score in the battle and charge the ODs that way.
-
The hovering hulls generally can be considered OP, just look at how quickly their ODs charge up compared to the rest, and the ability to strafe around and move sideways can make them very hard to hit. I think Crusader is one of the most OP hulls right now after the recent buff.
-
Without Crisis or at least Trickster, Hopper is a pretty terrible hull.

I mean, Boris is a Legend 313, so...
-
So it isn't a container reward at all then?
-
Still not as many hours played as my man @Boris4311
-
Harpoon augment for Magnum does NOT appear in the list of container rewards in the HTML5 version - even though I do not own it.
-
Harpoon Magnum + Viking + Booster is @Boris4311's favourite combo. Stats: https://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/Boris4311

I was thinking whether you can login to your usual account on the mobile app via an Android emulator on desktop. I wonder if it's possible to do that though.

"TO Mobile also offers rewards for watching ads. You can get shards, an increased battle reward, change your Daily Missions, and even speed up Micro-upgrades for free just by watching ads. Whenever you can watch an ad to get a reward, a little "play" icon ► will be displayed next to a picture/description of the reward." Source: https://en.tankiwiki.com/Tanki_Online_Mobile

I guess the devs' catering to buyers has come back to bite them in the butt - now with decreasing players day by day and this huge matchmaking issue, they have no choice but to release some F2P-friendly updates (I hope).
-
Thanks for clearing that up, but mathematically speaking, a negative probability makes no sense.
-
But how can it have a negative chance for a crit?
-
I just hope the devs don't get confident with themselves and rely on ads to make revenue and only release P2W updates as a result.
-
They won't give you 5000 Tankoins for free. I'm sorry.

This wasn't an event.

@FrozenRailgun I wonder which bundle made them so much money.
-
@Tokamak So basically the number of players is slowly decreasing on average, and yet Alternativa's revenue jumped 25 times in a three month period? LOL.
-
According to this website (https://www.zoominfo.com/c/alternativaplatform/345941058), the devs went from ~$800K revenue in the final quarter of 2020, to ~$20M revenue in the first quarter of 2021: If this is correct information, then what in the world is going on here?

What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?
LambSauce replied to Maf in Game Discussion
I mean, they borrowed elements from Fortnite (Challenge/season pass), Overwatch (overdrives), and others that I can't tell you off the top of my head, so now it is basically a game for little kids with lots of cash to spare. It's for kids because only a child would be stupid enough to think that 300 bucks for an in-game bundle is a good way to spend money. Honestly, this pisses me off more than anything, the arrogance and daring of the devs to put these offers in the shop when the average Russian can't afford that with the salaries they have over there. Basically ripping off rich Westerners or inept people that have no financial awareness is what the devs are up to these days. Oh, and Tanki Online Europe Ltd. are based in Malta for its tax haven status and for other financially potentially suspicious activities - more info on that here: https://offshoreleaks.icij.org/nodes/55055306
