You get into a battle, (eventually) only to be kicked half way through and when you re-join, (which is rare) half the players on both teams are missing. Lag, bugs, glitches, call it what you want, TO even without the OP buyers dominating is totally unplayable with all these FAULTS that you, the developers, do not seem able to correct. Try spending some of the cash you get off the braindead buyers on fixing these recurring problems. 13 Years of TO steadily becoming worse with every update you bring in.

Sums up the developers to a T. Couldn't have put it better myself.

"You will now reach new ranks faster and earn more crystals for each completed battle" Now what boosted funds and ranking faster "REALLY" means;- (non legend players) Getting trounced more often in more battles than ever before. This is because your garage is now so sub-standard that the meagre crystals you earn is nowhere near enough for the mega expensive items you need to upgrade, which will now cost way more. This is because you have passed the rank were you could actually upgrade step by step. Of course not, because instead of 30% off the initial upgrade they gave 50%, so giving only 50% on speed ups offsets the increased 50% on the upgrade. The developers are greedy con artists, albeit smart ones. 50X speeds, mines, DD, DA, repairs and of course the "MEGA" 1,000 crystals.

Is it better to upgrade few protection modules or a wider array?
YANUKFIN replied to Generalissimo in Archive
If at the lower ranks you do not keep on top (upgrade) all your modules you will regret it, because then when you rank if a certain module, hull, turret is not upgraded to max you will have to pay full price for the next modification and you will become weaker with each rank you attain if you do not keep a close watch on what needs to be maxed at a particular rank. At the lower ranks when upgrading you have to be patient and make sure at the next rank whatever needs maxing is done before that rank is reached. The developers could help out the lower ranks in a big way, but refuse to do so. My advice, upgrade all of them at various stages when ranking up. -
Your quote, is it not? The last sentence was what I was referring to. All changes are about generating cash. The fact that changing the parameters of magnum was not buyer friendly is beside the point. 270,000 cry is still a lot for most players to save up. TO is not just about legends and MK7s, It's about all players and all ranks. The developers have made ranking so easy that the vast majority of players, regardless of rank, can't compete because they gain far more XP than cry in every battle. This is reflected in the appalling G/S of a lot of players at every rank, making them so weak as to be ineffective and a liability to other team members. The developers could alleviate this problem greatly by giving more cry to XP in battles, or at the very least making the ratio 1-1. By the way, try starting a new account without buying are getting your perks as a mod and then explain again how 270,000 cry is a reasonable amount to spend, not taking into account all the supplies you will need to be competitive (including batteries) and upgrades to all garage equipment, (including drones) just to compete in this total P2W game.

I meant to say all that, so are we good? I never mince my words, I say exactly what I mean to say, the truth/facts.
-
Do we play the same game, heck, are we even on the same planet. I could list a host of updates that involved the need to spend cash to increase your chances exponentially in any given battle/mode, to the detriment of any and all balance, but I have things to do for the rest of the year. Say hi from me to any of the voyager missions when they pass your house, maybe you could hitch a lift back to earth if they ever decide to come back. Just can't believe you said what you said ?.
-
All about the cash, so like @wolverine848 said, nothing new. Whatever the developers do they do to generate cash in one form or another, leaving balance in a bigger mess than the previous update.
-
Have not watched a v-log in ages, what is the point?
-
How do you get crystals? You can earn them in battle or buy them in the VERY EXPENSIVE joke shop. Now the amount needed to upgrade most items is a great deal and most players just can't earn them at a quick enough rate. Developers have nerfed containers, so that's a non starter for xtra cry and the reward for ranking is 1 CONTAINER so that's a waste of time to. You either truly do not understand how devious the developers are or you choose not to acknowledge it, I'm leaning towards the former, so your off the hook. The voice (post) of reason. Sadly that does not coincide with the natural greed the developers have obtained through years of fleecing the players out of cash.

@BruhBruhThingThing Like everything associated with this game.....??........... = There is only 1 mode as I see it that reflects "SKILL" in this game and that is jug mode. Have to admit I marvel at some of these players that get 50 kills and even 100 without loss, true mastery of a turret. Having said that a lot of the kills are against weak players, (G/S non existent) but you can't blame the jug player for taken out WEAK players, who because of the developers insistence that X zillion XP is earned in battle (for a lot less cry) they rank, become weak ER (the place they end up every 30 secs for duration of battle) than the previous rank they were at. Whatever update the developers bring in it will always be un-balanced for the majority of players. They either can't or won't compromise when it comes to the word they are not allowed to speak.
-
True enough. Titan's overdrive like everything in the game is subject to a large variety of counters, which makes it average at best. Only paladin with it's OP overdrive is unaffected by these changes.
-
Bad idea. They should not exist in the game at all. The fact that they are in the game is bad enough. They should be extremely hard to obtain for P2W so they are not prevalent enough in battles to the extent that they are. Also vampire isida is nowhere near the worst one you will come up against.
-
Best just to do away with all floating trash cans. Nope. All drones are useless against the broken OP trash that obliterates you in 2 seconds. May as well go all the way then. Armadillo, spectrum module, and lets say BUY 1000 ultras and 1000 containers and save up about 5000,000 cry to upgrade armadillo and acquire all the batteries you will go through. When it comes to TO your really not on the same planet. THE GAME IS "BROKEN" and will remain completely "BROKEN" and only become worse with each OP update the developers bring into the game. TO is a mess and only the developers and a few certain mods would have you think otherwise.
-
Like all drones, it is useless against all the OP trash that can take you out in a couple of seconds.
-
They were either useless, had no broken augments to boast about, are just downright USELESS. Go up against the OP buyers in a proper battle, you wont last 1 minute with your laughable 5K G/S. I understand were @HevenPiercer is coming from and although he could express his words somewhat better, he is mostly right in his assumptions. The game has taken the wrong path and is broken beyond repair. I used the adrenaline augment for the first time in battle and it did not help one bit against a paladin/firebird who took all my supplies off me, leaving me ineffective, even though I had maxed protection and defender drone. He did this without his overdrive being active. 2022 TO is about as OP, P2W as you can get, that is until the developers bring out the next broken OP, P2W trash for the weak willed buyers to dominate with. If none of this broken trash had been brought into the game, you would not no any different from the TO back in the day. The developers are very good at manipulating and deceiving, especially the weak, gullible buyers, who are hooked on the latest OP trash, like most junkies are.
-
Compared to other augments, no it is not. It is only when you pair up OP gear that you see how broken TO is. As a stand alone turret isida "SHOULD" be able to heal itself, but the developers nerfed it completely when they took that aspect of it's gameplay away, only to reintroduce it as a augment to generate cash. The developers need to either do away with overdrives, status effects and augments, or give each one of them a different one which is unique to that specific turret/hull and that actually enhance it's capabilities in a unique way IN BATTLE, meaning it is worth using and not outdone by other turrets/hulls to the point no player would use it. Examples of this copy/paste mentality is railgun being able to apply heat damage, smokey having freeze effect capability, etc. The copy/paste list is endless and shows at best that the developers are lazy and out for a quick buck on any given change they bring in. TO is no longer fun in a gaming sense and only the kids (below ages of 16) and the heavy buyers could care less how in balanced it has become. There is no stability in the game and it has become far to complicated to understand every status effect/augment, etc for experienced players, let alone any new players that might try TO out. I also predominantly use mammoth because I need every single crystal I can get to upgrade my protections. If I am to proceed to the next rank I need to be competitive at that rank and I do not intend to spend a single dime on a game that changes on a whim, hence I can't afford to squander resources (crystals) on other hulls. The developers need to sort out the mess THEY created and stop changing the parameters of the game every other week. As for shop prices, they are a joke. Just worked out in € how much all the batteries I have used on ONE account would come to. €6,148.00. Mind boggling money for just ONE supply.
-
I use it with mammoth because I got it MK6 with the M to MK conversion. I am playing at colonel rank and against hornets overdrive it is useless, never wins against freeze/fire. So no it's not broken but many things are and hornet is one of them, along with paladin and just to many others to mention. The game is trash and as far as balance is concerned, heading down the pan.
-
I came up against this helios, it was attached to a maxed out MK7 viking with 4 maxed out protections. This players rank was brigadier, G/S 9999, kills-80, against-10. I was maxed mammoth MK6, maxed isida MK6 (vampire) with 30% against rico, made no difference at all. Even when I cornered this player he sent me to scrap yard. Only way I killed this buyer noob was with my overdrive. This kind of toxic OP trash is here to stay and IT WILL only get worse. Even if my combo was maxed MK7, I doubt I would have won the encounter. Vampire isida is not as powerful as everyone thinks, hornet (overdrive) with fire or freeze beats it hands down. The game is a mess, to complicated and only user friendly for the buyers, the devs fav players.
-
He has a point. All about the cash. Everything the developers do is centred around how much cash it will generate, balance and fair play have no place in TO. They constantly make OP changes to entice the brainwashed buyers, there is no thought as such to how it will affect game play, as they already no the effect it will have.
-
You are obviously not a serious player and only play the minimum amount needed to complete missions. When you reach legend your battle experience is not going to be healthy, probably already isn't. Due to ranking far to quickly your garage is on a par with a W0 5, on a good day. Your 1.5 million will get you nowhere at your rank. You like many players are cannon fodder for the buyers who look at players like you as a slight annoyance, rather than any meaningful threat in battle. The ranking system does no favours to most players as they can't (like you) keep pace with their garage after ranking. I blame the developers for this, they could easily rectify this, but refuse to do so.

LOL complaint after complaint, seems the norm for TO. Year after year problems do not get fixed, or if they do, they just reoccur. Most of the problems in TO are caused by the "DEVELOPERS" to generate cash, (a deliberate ploy) which is why we see so many OP augments, turrets, hulls in battles, this is a undeniable fact. As for the mods agreeing with EVERYTHING the developers do, imo, NOT TRUE. What is true (fact) is that most updates are greeted with a thumbs up by the mods to try and steer that particular update in a positive direction in regards to the players, this is another undeniable fact, as I see it happen all the time. TO is a P2W game, fact. Developers do not care about balance, fact. It clashes to much with making cash. Player numbers are drastically falling because of the game mechanics, making TO mostly unplayable for your average player (F2P) MM has NOT and NEVER will work. This is due to a number of factors, but the main one is, as always, cash. TO has become very complicated with all the augments and various status effects that BLIGHT the game. Another undeniable fact. I personally have 4 accounts "STUCK" between general and marshal because of the drastic change to the upgrading process. Lets refresh why this change was made. QUOTE, "The upgrading system has been changed to make it easier for new players to understand." A blatant lie. On a side note:- STUN, AP and JAMMER immunity are not working. I tried this on 2 separate accounts that have all these equipped and they proved ineffective and no I did not record it, you will have to take my word that they did not work in several battles I entered. To summarise, TO is becoming worse with every new update the developers bring into the game. Balance is desperately needed to restore not only faith in the developers, but also to give most players a more enjoyable experience when entering a battle and not getting wiped out 20 times by OP buyers with the latest OP combo. As for MM..........................Needs scrapping, it does not work. FACT.
-
Yes it is. Don't make it so unbalanced in the first place, now that's a good idea don't you think. They have brought in so many changes that effect game play that TO is beyond repair, unless you go back to the drawing board. By the way what tests do they do before they release a new turret, augment, hull, etc. Is it the one that makes the most cash from brainwashed buyers. TO is corrupt and rotten to the core.
-
What do you mean "WE'LL GET THERE". It's you that dictates how the game mechanics work. It's you that has destroyed TO with the HUGE amount of status effects that now blight the game. You said awhile back that the reason you changed the upgrading system was to, and I QUOTE, to make it easier for new players to understand. (laughable) Do you think that the huge amount of status effects, along with updates that change how TO works every other week is "easy to understand". TO becomes more complicated with every update you bring in and as a by product of these changes, (mostly) more expensive with way less to show for the unjustified price increase. You really want to "GET THERE" Try acting on genuine player feedback that has merit. Act on the advice of experienced players and I have no doubt that TO will benefit greatly from it. You do not have to compromise your precious game economy in order to have a more balanced game, just use a bit of forward thinking and make the effort to resolve the issues that "YOU" implemented in the first place. Saying we will get there, eventually, means nothing. They are baseless empty words we have all seen before, year after year.

Not a bad post, enjoyed the read. Just a couple of points though. 1- Even though I don't use isida it's vampire mode should not be nerfed, rather isida should have this mode reverted back to what it was back in the day. 2-Not being able to change equipment as and when you need to puts a lot of players at a big disadvantage, F2P, weak G/S players (due to ranking to fast.) The only players that this appeals to are the buyers who have the latest OP combo from the start, not being able to change equipment does not affect them that much. I also agree that containers since that dreadful update are now garbage, just another way the developers have fleeced the players. Not nearly "nuf sed" .
