And my solution, (which would combat this problem greatly) to increase the XP needed to gain each rank by a factor of X3 was ignored by the developers, no surprise really, they NEVER act on GENUINE player feedback that actually HELPS players.

What has being legend 31 got to do with brutus being USELESS against legends that have a G/S to match their rank, meaning above 9500. If that is all you have got then I say np, run with it and do your best. It still does not even come close to a maxed out drone that actually helps you survive longer in battle. Brutus is useless in legend battles, simple as that. What a really good word. Have to admit I had to look that one up. Not many words stump me but that one did.

@wolverine848 has every right to share his views just like anyone else, buyer or not. I no what you are trying to get across and I totally agree with your conclusion regarding the developers. They are very manipulative in what they do and I don't believe anything they say. Cash rules and balance has no place in THIS game. I think you have the wrong assumption about him, he's just mad at the developers like 99 % of players, although I do believe he is going about it the wrong way. Nah you got that wrong, totally. Debatable. This I agree with. True enough, but you only fall for their "illusion" if your a kid or not very bright in the grey matter department.

If you say so and you don't mind getting wiped out multiple times in 1-2 seconds by players with defender, booster or just a plain old wasp with blaster drone, yip brutus rules the roost in battle, silly me. This of course makes complete sense. Does NOT change the fact that it is STILL USELESS in full on legend battles. OMG soooo funny ? I mean that is the best laugh I have had in ages. Your friend is a genius. I will drop him 10 GB if I find out who he is, sooo funny.

I would like to point out to a certain mod that I may complain about 99.99 % of the time about every useless update the developers do, (which is warranted by the way) but it's only after I have read through pages of posts doing exactly the same thing first.
-
Unfortunately brutus at legend is useless.
-
Nope, it's smart, it's the players that are dumb. ? So funny. Believe it or not, but I do just fine in battle. I post what I post because it's correct and the right thing to do.

Ok mod, challenge accepted. I have ALWAYS stated that skins, shot effects, the UI (whatever) etc, MAKE no DIFFERENCE whatsoever to the core problem of the game and that is a few certain players in EVERY battle, who dominate in any mode because of the OP trash gimmicks that infest the game. I have probably played the game (actual hrs played) more than the majority of players spread across various accounts. I started playing back in early 2013 and have seen TO especially in the last couple of years go from bad to worse in respect to the constant OP P2W gimmicks. TO is unbalanced, massively. As for increasing shop prices, your explanation (on behalf of the developers) is so false. Pure greed, no other reason. The change to the upgrading system is one of the worst updates ever in TO. The developers said it was to make it easier to understand for newbies, really. The list of bad updates is nigh on endless. I would like to no if you think the developers explanation for the change to the upgrading process was the true reason for doing so. A simple yes or no will suffice, my answer is NO. As for patch updates to balance things out, I thought the developers had players to test stuff out before it went mainstream into the game? Why should anything need balancing, get it right first time with maybe a few "little" tweaks and were good to go. Try listing all the things that have made TO better for the majority of players IN BATTLE. I highlight the two words "in battle" for a very good reason, because it's in battle were it all counts and having a "skin" does NOTHING to help you attain whatever objective you might have in that particular battle. As for containers, we wont even go there. Defend the developers as much as you want, your a mod, I expect nothing less from you, but you will never convince me that my interpretation from what I see is not a true reflection of the game.
-
No balance. EVER. Constant shop price increases. Constant P2W only OP gimmicks. I could go on for at least 1 hr listing all the negative changes the developers have brought into the game, at least 1 hr. And fyi I have not acquired a BP for a long time, the rewards are not worth the price you have to pay. I have not acquired premium for a long time. There has not been anything positive to say about TO in a very long time, so why would I lie and say otherwise. I leave the "positive" remarks for the mods and those who don't know any better. Why don't you have a poll listing all the updates from the beginning of last year to the present date, then ask players to give you a mark out of 10 and I do mean every single update. Make it so you can't enter the game until you have gave a mark out of 10. I'm guessing the average mark would be lucky to get above 4. There is nothing positive to say about the game, unless you want me to lie.

@frederik123456 Changes nothing. The developers are systematically reducing items that help players out. Skins do not help you in battle and are therefore meaningless unless you have a maxed out everything garage. You can sugar coat as much as you want concerning the developers, changes nothing, they are still doing their very best to fleece players as much as they can in the attempt to convert as many as they can to spend cash, no matter how small that expenditure may be. The developers true colours have been on display for a long time now and they have proven beyond any doubt that they do not care about their player base.
-
They are cutting back on everything that helps you maintain your garage. A potential 40,000 cry (if you bought the pass) is way better than the useless containers they have replaced them with, they know this only to well, which is why they have done it. Even 1 weekly was probably much better than 4 containers combined. @NikmanGT has tried to cover this fact up by joking about it, what a surprise.
-
Nearly right. The ROOT PROBLEM are the developers and their gullible P2W players. Everything that is bad about TO is just an application caused by the root problem, THE DEVELOPERS, which is brought on by their innate greed. Get rid of (replace) the root problem and TO might start and regain it's numbers again. This current lot have butchered the game beyond recognition with their P2W trash gimmicks.
-
And why can YOU not report it? I have brought it to your (mods in general) attention for the 4th time now. If you want this player to blatantly enter this game with a hideous user name like that, then you obviously do not care what that players name stands for. One other thing, why did you remove my post when that players name is plastered all over the recent v-log.
-
The developers are the most malicious part of TO. Even though we as players voice our opinions here in the forum via posts, some with a lot of merit and a great deal of thought put into them, I have yet to see a single post by any player implemented by the developers that actually made a difference to the majority of players in battle, were it counts the most. The forum as I found out is just a staging area for players to vent their anger before they continue with "for most" the daily grind of missions. Lets be honest, 90% of posts are complaints about the way the developers have turned TO upside down with their P2W updates, some of which are so blatantly OP it's obvious who they are aimed at. The amount of OP, P2W only items they have brought out over the last year alone are so numerous, that they don't even try and give lame explanations anymore as to why they bring them out. So in answer to your theory that it will "push the devs to act", NOT A CHANCE.

Equipment changes for maxed out buyers (I have everything, try and kill my paladin if you can...lol) do not really bother them. If you give a buyer the opportunity to equip 2 immunities, taken into account they mostly use paladin or that other legal hack, then you can kiss goodbye to EVER getting the better of them, unless you gang up with half your team to take them on. TO needs a complete re-work. Barring that minor miracle ever happening, giving buyers a buff to their already maxed out garage is not healthy for the rest of us, especially at Endgame legend battles. Sorry, but on this one you are wrong in your assumptions.
-
And the complaints just keep rolling in. 1. MM, joke. 2. Status effects, don't need them. 3. Augments, don't need them. 4. Overdrives, don't need them. 5. Shop (constant price increases) 6. Constant OP game changers, (buyers only.) 7. The change to the upgrading system, (worst update ever.) 8. Containers, joke. After update, bigger joke. 9. Balance, does not exist. 10. Developers, on a par with containers. 11. Floating trash cans, designed for mobile players, no lifers, (little kids) 12. Equipment changing times, no idea what they hope to achieve from this, apart from more complaints. All of the above and a whole lot more have totally ruined the game, and NO'10 is to blame for all of it.
-
They should give a reason before any changes they make, but they rarely do.

Flying hack

Have to disagree. What is the point of all these combos if you can't change during a battle to be more competitive, if that were the case you may as well just upgrade your fav combo from the beginning and save millions of crystals in the process. Maxed out legends will rarely change due to the fact they are already powerful going into any battle. They may change a protection or two but I doubt a whole combo change would take place, not unless they were facing like for like in power/G/S from a enemy player getting the better of them. TO is now only a heavy buyer friendly game which is dominated by those players who BUY the OP flavour of the month, every month.
-
Perish the thought. Totally agree. Nope. Having XP boost is what "hurts" the most. Lets agree that the developers have "RUINED" the game beyond repair and that unfortunately it will only get worse, until for normal players it becomes unplayable altogether in any meaningful way. I understand your frustration, which is why I play the way I do now, with no regard to anyone but myself in battle. I do my best to be a team player, but if doing so leaves me open to getting wiped out, not gonna happen. Nice one devs, keep up the outstanding good work. I think you will find that myself and @wolverine848 are dead set against XP boost, have been since like forever.
-
I do not doubt that it happens, but as you have just said "good group". Only at legend rank will you see this (mostly) but I still maintain from my experience that it does not happen often, that is because hardcore endgame players usually rely on their maxed out combo to dominate from start to finish without the need to coordinate, on this point I disagree with you.
-
That would be 75% of the team then. On a good day.
-
What you are saying is a very "rare" occurrence and only performed by really switched on groups/clans. This I agree with (mostly) I have a account, WO1 maxed out MK6 titan with maxed out rico MK3 and I do well with it against my own ranks, maybe 2/3 above. Were I fail is not having anything else to fall back on when I come up against the higher ranks. Not having at least 2 hulls and 2/3 turrets makes it hard to compete at times. Agree with using different combos. This is a definite "must do" in order to compete at the higher ranks, especially endgame battles. Using multiple accounts imo is not worth it, not unless you are patience and upgrade steadily at each rank to avoid getting wiped out. Totally agree. Protection modules are not very good on there own due to all the crits, emp nonsense we now have. XP boost is the biggest factor in so many high ranked players having a very, very poor G/S. Agree, along with all the "other problems" the developers introduce into the game. Here is a novel idea. How about switch times revert back to 2 mins but increase the higher the rank you are. Example: Recruit to WO1 - 2 mins. WO2 to W05 - 3 mins. 3RD lieutenant to captain - 3 1/2 mins. Major to colonel - 4 mins. Brigadier to marshal - 4 1/2 mins. Field marshal to gizmo - 5 mins. Legend - 6 mins. This would be fair imo regarding combo switches.

Having the ability to change combos IS A MUST in battle. There are many reasons why TO is failing it's players and the majority of them are P2W and OP in the extreme. Paladin is the latest in a long line of OP equipment that has supposedly been nerfed, yet it still dominates in all modes. The latest updates like every other recent update (in the last year at least) have been aimed at the P2W player, THIS IS THE PROBLEM facing the rest of the players, F2P/very light spenders. Containers are now useless and not worth striving for. Ranking up is now just "ranking up" with no reward (1 container....useless) for all the effort you put in for achieving this, especially at legend, were ranking up to a higher number should be rewarded with the status that a legend rank deserves. The developers constantly raise the shop prices and expect players to still commit time and effort in a game were the rewards have been severely depleted. A friend of mine recently hit a landmark legend rank..50.. and the reward from the 1 measly container was 100 batteries, (above average imo) 10,000 cry short of the 40,000 they would normally have received. The competitive (balanced) nature of the game has been thrown away and replaced by those players who can obtain OP gear through cash, augments, immunities, etc. TO is a OP, complicated, P2W mess.
