  1. TCSOTO is that this is a picture. Posted in the picture of the day thread. And now it is not there.
  2. Yep. And now we can continue with the complaining in the complaints thread. Or retorting. Or quibbling. Or whatever word we want to use for complaining.

    Let's Discuss Matchmaking

Are you saying that the game doesn't reward skill and effort?

    "Tanki Classic" release

Are you saying they haven't set a release date yet?
  5. It's very not worth it when the opposition usually chooses long range weapons.
  6. the delay in critical hits from a bot
  7. It's still a complaints thread, btw. And are you wanting to change the topic of debate from complaining about complaints in a complaints thread to frequency of time spent in the forum now? Ok. If the game loaded faster, had better gameplay and had more than 3 humans per side, I probably wouldn't be here at all. I don't think anybody would be here.
  8. I cleared this with Spy since he said posting this picture violates no rules...
  9. I did. But they got deleted by the mods. So. There's that. And to be honest, it's not obvious to everyone. I've already had many of those discussions.
  10. They are linked. Both economic and psychological. All of this has already been studied and Opex has admitted he uses the data from pre-existing studies and online games (and the changes they have made to their games) to make tanki profitable for their shareholders. I mean, that's the sole reason he was hired (in 2015, was it?). For increased profits. Tanki asked: How do you get someone to buy my product vs any other similar product? The answer is: You use psychology and you know what makes your target audience 'work'. Example: It would be useless for tanki to target senior citizens for that demographic is not the majority who play online games. They would never turn a profit that way. They target (mostly) single males 15-35 who have disposable income of some sort and who have a propensity to play online games. It also helps if they have an 'addictive' personality, but I don't think it's a requirement. Increasingly, women play online games, so that's an ever-evolving income stream. Tankionline metrics are very interesting. You might find this interesting: You and I have already discussed the specifics as to what makes players spend actual money on the game, but we don't need to go into that.
  11. Yes, this is a classic definition of addiction. And they already know the psychology behind it.
  12. Nope. Your logic. You're still complaining about complaints in a complaints thread.
  13. As I have stated many times before, complaining about complaints in the complaints thread is just as futile.
  14. And why does anyone here care one iota if he is wasting his time or not...? Wouldn't everyone elses time be better spent not entering into the (Complaints)/TCSOTO thread? I mean, the title kinda gives away what you are likely to find here.
  15. Except paying upfront doesn't guarantee that it will be completed...
  16. Me: bumps up against another tanki because firebird. Them: moves forward and phases into me. Tanki: remembering physics and that two objects cannot occupy the same space, raises my turret up into the air so that I'm still firing and not hitting the enemy tank, nor can I move away because I'm lifted off the ground. Them: one shots me. Repeat x12 in a battle.
  17. Well this stuff is theoretically 'free', but you get less of them for the same price as before. It is what it is. It's just the current state of tanki online to some people.
  18. I think the complaint--general-- is spending more for getting less. Whether it's 'free' stuff in the showcase or spending real monies.
