What to buy? Which is better?

I only started using heavy hulls when I had maxed Trickster. I can use them successfully on small maps sometimes with Hyperion, but in most cases it is just too slow with drones that don't boost speed.

I'm never going to use Ares because I'm never going to use mouse controls or mobile. I have fully upgraded Titans on two accounts, but I don't often use them in not-siege modes.

Before the last sale I only had one fully upgraded Mammoth, but now all of main accounts have it and are upgrading it from mk7 because it can be a lot of fun, especially now that its OD last 15 seconds (and charges very quickly).

I'm not going to get any more Titans.

I don't camp and I don't use long-range turrets much, so I like to use Trickster with Mammoth and drive around the map with melee or short-range turrets (Twins is my favorite) and bulldozing anything smaller or chasing people when its OD is on.

It's also really good on small maps where objectives are heavily mined, sometimes I've given up trying to score / cap with a light hull + trickster + mine prot and used Mammoth's OD to do it instead.

I'm a big Mammoth fan, but it's only something I got in to after fully upgrading at least one light and one medium hull and Trickster (I'd recommend Trickster or Hyperion over anything else as a first not-Brutus drone).

Ricochet- tectonic field, helios

smoky- pulsar

railgun- hyperspace (siege), round destabilization, large caliber rounds

gauss- solenoids, ap salvo

scorpion- tornado, uranium

isida- vampire, support nanobots, pulsar

thunder-vacuum, adaptive reload, salamander

shaft- healing emitters, rapid fire

freeze- corrosive mix, shock freeze, magnetic

Which is better at just general gameplay across all ranges?

- Scorpion, with all its augments that can be bought with crystals

- Thunder, with all its augments that can be bought with crystals

- Shaft rapid fire mode, short band emitters

Hey there, I'm a Major Rank 7.7k GS player with Hunter and Thunder Mk6-10 and Max Booster, I was wondering what I should buy next, since I can buy Mk7 turrets and hulls from the shop I could definitely buy a combo I need, the problem is, I'm between 3 combos, Railgun with Hunter Mk7-20 (I could also keep my Hunter Mk6-10) with Max Booster, Railgun with Viking Mk7-20 and Max Defender or Thunder Hunter Mk7-20 and Max Booster (upgrading my current combo to Mk7-20), yes I can upgrade any combo to Mk7-20 cause I have enough crystals, what should I buy? Also, because I don't have the sales forum post, can anybody give it to me? Thanks.

For me, the answers to these questions is always going to be: buy whatever equipment you enjoy playing the most. Combinations that are claimed to be strong today, will soon be hit by a balance change anyway.

As the guy said the answer is: Buy the equipment you like playing.No one knows better than your playing style.
Moreover, the section is not for questions like this. There's a separate section for this.

Yes, definitely. It's by far the most important module to upgrade in my opinion. Critical damage is nasty, especially with the introduction of augments that relies mainly on Crit damage, such as Round destabilization for Railgun for example.

Every time during the discounts I open all the containers that I have at that time and upgrade my equipment. Most of the time I have pre-decided what to upgrade and what not to in the next sale. I'm planning to max upgrade any of these three options in the next sale - Shaft Turret, Defender Drone and Booster Drone, but I'm confused about what to upgrade out of those three options. I currently have Hammer, Railgun, Firebird, Isida and Tesla turrets, Hornet and Viking hulls, and Brutus and Crisis Drones maxed out. I know what you're thinking, that I already have a fully maxed Crisis Drone, why do I need to upgrade any other drone? But with certain turrets, like Isida, Firebird, Tesla, Shaft, etc. Crisis doesn't work that well due to the disability of having been able to activate only one supply at a time and Brutus just isn't that powerful, so I really need to upgrade another drone, preferably Defender or Booster. I'm not that interested in upgrading any other drone right now. But I also feel like in long-range maps like Stadium, Shaft is too OP, so I should upgrade it first. But I'm not really able to make a decision. Can anyone please give me some suggestions? It would be really helpful.

If you have criss max, then no need booster, i never use booster when use shaft, as i stay far away w heavy hull, ares. 60% extra damage of criss is far better than 25% extra of booster, and criss is immu from jam as it can quick switch to get back extra.

Defender is useful for close range weapons, and attacking.

I use trickster most for flags and fast front role.

I use hyperion for defense and mining, with continue shoot of smoky and twins

25% booster extra is not much compared to 60% of criss

Both booster defender dont have cooldown speed up, it take 5s to use 2 supplys,

In other way, hyperion has more adavange of use 3 supply and reload instantly in battle

Yeah but the problem with crisis is that we can activate only 1 supply at a time, so it does not work that well with turrets like Isida, Firebird, etc., as I've mentioned in my post. And Hyperion does allow you to activate all the supplies instantly, but it doesn't give you additional damage or armour, which is my main necessity. And tbh I'm kind of okay with having to wait for 5 seconds after activating a supply, to activate another one. My question is just that which of the three items should I upgrade in the next sale – Defender, Booster or Shaft?

If you use close range often, of course, booster is better for you.

But i normally use trickster for close range, as it is easy to cratch enemy and run arounf

I mostly use hammer and railgun, but am planning to use other turrets as well.

hey guys i am warrent officer 3 rn and have 55k. crystals ready to upgrade . i have a MK3-3 firebird MK3-7 freeze and a MK3-7 railgun(these are the turrets i wana play main)i am confused which to upgrade to get to higher level and which is bette in the higher ranks.

 

I would also like a suggestion on which is the better hull hornet or viking with the following turret.

If I were you and only wanted to upgrade one of these three turrets i'd go with Freeze. Freezing effect disabled double damage so it's instantly better than 75 ticks (likely 0 cuz repair) of burning damage you'll do at legend. Though I'd recommend something long range that is not railgun. Literally anything lol because railgun even though rare at legend ranks but you'll encounter 6+ on average (im not kidding) railgun prots in EVERY MATCH. For hulls you want to use Viking/Hunter something like that. Yeah you'll be slower and it'll probably be a disadvantage at low ranks but as you reach legend it'll pay of. With Hornet half of the people will be oneshotting you. 

Upgrade 1 turret and hull of your choice. Don't upgrade anything else until your combo is Mk7 AT LEAST. Yes it might get painful playing the same combo but you'll have a chance of winning against legends (which is already a big feat for low ranks). Remember that using 1 combo will make you skilled with it and even if it gets nerfed you'll still be good at it but people won't use protections against your turret so nerf could be a blessing in disguise.

Next sale will likely be valentines day so don't worry about it yet.

I'll show you some screenshots from matches so you can get better understanding of End-Game battle combos people use.

ASL and most of the time SGE modes will have the most stacked Mega Buyers and Mega Sweats that are like Legend 400+

In other modes I'd recommend camping + Supporting when you reach the "nightmare" phase of fighting Legends at Marshal rank or something. Unless you got lucky and got exotic augment there is no chance for you to win. They'll outsmart you while having better combos on top of that.

Hornet has a good OD for railgun (for all long range turrets) Its also good to use with meele on lower ranks because you need speed.

If you have trickster then viking is a better choice. I like to play with hornet (its my most played hull) But on higher ranks you have to have protections or defender or you will die quickly.  I use hornet mostly with shaft, ability to see enemy through walls is very usefull with shaft either sniper mode or arcade,  and sometimes I use vulcan because of good crit dmg. But mistakes are not tolerated, and against good players you will struggle.

 

Personally I dont like viking but its more usefull with combos you have, with meele turrets you will probably end up defending. Its up to you, either you gain HP but lose speed or vice versa.  If you are good player I would go for hornet if you are not certain then medium hull will tolerate more mistakes and you can always pick specific mode that is good even for meele range turrets with medium hull. (assault, ctf - defending, rugby or siege.) 

 

In the end, I would maybe choose hull I have more augments for. (AP,Freeze and EMP immunity) With hornet  I would consider also mechanic.

I use it casually Thunder and Viking... but I like different styles
I saw recently Dictator with Striker, Is it a good option?
I'm a Major General and my GS doesn't exceed 6200 ?

I'm an old player, I didn't use the new weapons much...
Regarding hulls, I don't use the new ones...

I just stopped playing for about 4 or 5 years and returned couple of months ago. So I dont know about current meta of this game.
I'm mostly looking to grind viking + firebird(These two are 6-8) and one another turret, which one is the best choice? Should i go for double melee, or one melee & one long-range?
 
these are the augments that i unlocked... (+upgrade progress)
Vulcan(6-1): Incendiary Band, Shooting Speed Regulator
Thunder(3-9): Noise Shells
Twins(5-7): Plasma Accelerators
Rico(5-3): Destabilized Plasma
Smoky(6-1), Freeze(3-3), Isida(3-3), Railgun(4-0) and the rest(didnt upgraded at all. 1-0): None
