Patch Update #782 - Released 14th November 2024

 

List of changes:

  • Added a setting that disables gamepad configuration by default

    • (Note) Disabling this setting does not turn off gamepad support completely, but allows you to set a custom control layout through third-party applications.

  • Tanks with a «fixed» turret (Magnum, B0-NK) with the select «Mouse + Keyboard» control mode can no longer switch to keyboard control mode without entering the game settings.

    • (Note) This is necessary in order to be able to lower and raise the barrel while holding down the shoot button. Previously, when trying to change the shot angle, the game switched to keyboard control mode and shot automatically.

  • The VFX supply activation effect for «Speed Boost» is now linked to different points for different hulls, and hover tanks have one trail on the ground instead of two

  • The VFX supply activation effect for «Boosted Armor» was slightly sped up to better match the animation speed of the «Boosted Damage» and «Speed Boost» VFX effects.

List of fixes:

  • Fixed the switch to keyboard control. Now it works only by pressing «C» (turret centering).

    • (Note) Previously, you could switch by pressing Z/X, and this created problems in some cases.

  • Fixed dead zones for control sticks in the mobile version

    • (Note) This behavior was intended only for gamepads.

  • Reduced the angle at which a hover hull stops turning to the direction of the turret 

    • (Note) This will allow for more precise hover rotation, which will be very useful for Crusader, for example

  • Fixed displaying the self-destruct launch progress bar when holding the button after self-destruction has already been launched.

I was wondering what was up with this. This made me miss multiple Ares ODs.

Thank goodness this is gonna be fixed. I was getting so livid everytime I would miss my crusader shots over and over and awkward driving sometimes.

I'm glad to see bugs getting fixed, although I think it's time for some balance changes. Apart from the obvious OP Striker augments requiring a nerf, I think other balance changes make the game feel refreshing.

Last balance patch was more than month ago. I wonder if they still trying to figure out whether striker augments are OP or not.

Agree... + Tesla status effect augments,  Siege is literally unplayable, one pulsar and you can leave  its funny how for example you will have like 5 crits with vulcan pulasr per battle (I literally tested this)  yet with tesla pulsar you can have 50 and it has chaining crit effect...  

Freeze pulsar should have freeze rate removed or decreased like  other freeze status effect augments (same for firebird) 

 

Btw why Tesla does have Freeze and Fire augment while Isida does not have ? If tesla can have it Isida too

Why would u just reduce the angle? Why not make it like it was 2 weeks ago. No one asked for this update. Longer crus ODs will still be impossible to hit. There is no reason for the hull to almost always be off by few degrees therefore making people miss medium/long ODs. Please bruv

Akshually they are pretty weak, I generally dont see any striker tank killing me.

(because they shoot 10m above me from opposite of the map and it only takes 1 shot to kill my viking mk7+) ??

Nice Event ! but we need events with hull augments as prizes !, I have opened 500+ epic containers, but yet to receive any legendary viking augment!, and I dont want to waste 2500 tc for some mid augment.

Not just augments but also drones and hulls need balancing. Defender is way too overplayed it defo needs to be nerfed at least slightly. Crusader seems to be constantly overperforming, even more than Paladin rn. On top of that, support ODs like Titan and Dictator need buffs or reworks, while extremely overplayed offensive ODs Viking and Crusader should be nerfed a bit.

There's new bug since this patch note : When your tank is moving and then you press pause while moving, it stops your tank instantly.

Also when you queue in into a battle, then go to other tabs and then your tank spawns and you haven't got back to tanki page before your tank spawns, you get stuck, you can't move your tank (except for shooting), even leaving and going to other battle, it won't change anything, unfortunately, you'll have to refresh the page

Nerfing Crusador and Viking ODs seems like the dumbest idea. Everyone is encouraged to camp w the meta these days, viking OD is literally the only thing you can use to clear out enemy bases. And crusador od already takes long to recharge since a couple patches. There literally no need to nerf it.

If Viking is the only way for you than that is simply your skill issue, of not being capable of doing anything any other way. And even if Viking was the only way to clear bases, it still does not matter, because that is simply the gameplay flaw of this game. Even if you clear enemy base with Viking people will still camp and do the same thing again, because there is no stimulus to do things any other way, People will still camp because it is profitable to camp, and a lot of people cant play otherwise because they cant face the op augments running around that basically force them to stay in their bases. There is also no motivation for a lot of people to leave the base and play game objectives, because winning or losing makes little difference these days regarding the rewards you receive at the end. It does not matter Crusader OD takes a lot to recharge, it still overperforms in battles heavily, and basically replaced Paladin as the top strifing hull that all the players with OP augments use these days. Strifing is just that overpowered.

I'm not sure if the changes of normal hulls movement are intended or not since you did not tell us about any change regarding that. But i will say as a feedback that i like the change of controlling the movement of Wasp, it feels more like a light hull with accurate movement mechanics than before and more responsive to each press.

So going by your own logic, you being unable to deal w viking ODs is a skill issue?
I've been playing for years, and never once I've thought wait viking od is too op and it needs a nerf, you can easily deal w it.

I never mentioned anything about not being able to deal with it. Its not the point of being unable to deal with Viking OD, you can deal with any type of Overdrive under certain right circumstances, but it is the simple point of certain equipment being overused and frankly quite overpowered. By this same logic you are applying, if I am able to deal with vacuum Striker does that universally make it a balanced augment?

Anybody else feel there should be more time to change equipment in the garage during battle?  Especially now that we have to change everything at once it takes so much time

Don't really see the point in this. Can't change in-game for almost any turret now.
