I'm not saying the update is pointless. I'm saying it's absurd that players are making such a big deal out of their M3 colours being removed when they're just a cosmetic feature.

Well, all drones are pretty damn OP if used well. I posted my opinion about them as soon as the first batch of drones came out - they are basically another "tier" of consumables that boost your tank to give you an advantage over others. Considering how expensive and uncommon batteries are, it's safe to say that drones are a P2W feature. Booster drone itself actually takes some skill to use. It activates only when you pick up a DD box or activate a DD supply (but not from overdrive) and lasts for just up to 5 seconds, meaning that you will only have a couple shots with the full power once you activate it and then it will go back to normal DD. If you activate OD after you spawn or pick/activate up a DD supply, you will waste potential of your drone since you most likely won't be able to shoot anyone at that moment. So you really have to change your gameplay tactic - avoid DD boxes (as strange as that seems), activate DD supply only when you need to use the drone and be very careful about the use of overdrive. It's powerful, but not as easy as one might think.

I don't know man, but to me that's exactly what Tanki is. A game for children (and casual games in general), but definitely not an "eSports serious game" :lol:

Well, it doesn't give much of an advantage in the first place (just an alternative gameplay tactic), but it forces you to be more careful with how you shoot, since you risk hitting yourself. Also, I think it does make it so that you can't fire until the previous rocket has exploded, which slows down fire rate. Not sure - didn't test it.

You paid for the improvement of turret parameters, and the shot colour is just something that came along with it. Say what you want, but I will not believe anyone who says that when they bought a new turret modification their only incentive for doing so was getting a new shot colour, not the better parameters. As for a law suit - I must remind you that the EULA specifically states that developers reserve the right to add/change/remove any item in the game without giving an explanation or refunding the players. And you agree with the EULA if you're playing the game. I understand why some players are upset about their rail going back to blue colour, but I'll say it again - while it sucks to have things taken away from you, I have no idea why people are making such a huge deal out of some pointless visual effects.

Perhaps you're right that the description is misleading, but that's the case with most in-game descriptions. If you want detailed information for how a feature works, the wiki is usually the way to go. All information about the new drones is already there.

If an alteration is overpowered, it should be nerfed, not made more expensive. The only reason for the price difference in alterations is (I think) that some alterations introduce more interesting/radical mechanics to the turret, so they are more expensive. But in terms of power any turret with any alteration should, on average, be just as powerful as the same turret without an alteration. You misunderstand how the drone is meant to be used. Obviously it won't help you if you're being attacked by a freeze, twins or firebird, since you will instantly die again after resurrection. But it will help if you are running away with the flag and get sniped by a Shaft - instead of dying and losing the flag you will be left with 5% hp, but still alive. Also, you can actually get more healing if you upgrade the drone, although upgrading it is obviously very expensive. I agree that it would be nice to perhaps have a second of invulnerability after resurrection, but the drone works and I wouldn't go as far as calling it completely useless.

Yeah, that sounds like an interesting suggestion. Although the main difference in case of the shot colours is that you didn't specifically purchase them before the update - they just came with the turret modification. I don't see how they are relevant to what I'm saying.

It's 2 different battles. In the first one I got jugg 6 times (6 photos for each time), in the second battle I got it 7 times.

You explained it yourself. The decision to move shot colours into containers was to generate revenue for the game without affecting the gameplay balance between "buyers" and free players.

Can you give me an example? I have NEVER seen a novelty item instantly go on discount, regardless of what market we look at.

Well, in real life discounts are usually applied to items which are no longer relevant, are losing popularity or are simply old and common. In case of Tanki, they just added 44 brand new cosmetic items to containers, so obviously the demand for containers will go up, and it makes no sense to lower the price for an item just as people are about to start buying large amounts of it anyway. Same goes for garage discounts - Since new drones and alterations were added, the discounts were not applied to them to maximise revenue. And Halloween isn't the most major event anyway, so it doesn't make sense to go all out and have discounts for the whole garage.

Oh I wish they paid me to say anything :D But no, this is just my personal opinion. While I would obviously prefer to have the new colours get unlocked with new modifications, I fully understand and support the reasoning for this update.

I've actually put some thought to this, and while your strategy seems pretty good, I think I found a way, WAY better one: Striker + Uranium alt + Booster drone. Striker's damage is around 850 per shot. With the Uranium alt it's 1300 per shot. With DD that's 2300 and with the Booster drone it's up to 5200 damage PER ROCKET. So if you have a full MU Booster and launch a barrage at the Juggernaut at the same time activating your DD, you will deal a freaking 20 800 damage to the Juggernaut, so a single salvo is enough to bring it down from 100% health. If that's not ridiculously OP, I don't know what is. Currently my Booster is at 8 MU steps and I'm dealing 4000 damage per rocket. I don't think there's been a single time where all 4 of my rockets hit and I didn't kill juggernaut. For comparison, you could also use the 8-rocket Cyclone alt and deal around 27 200 damage with a full volley, but the much longer lock-on time makes that alt much harder to use. Using your proposed Magnum strategy the absolute maximum amount of damage you could deal with a single shot is 9320 (with Booster), but if you use the Blaster drone instead, you will only deal up to 4660 damage with the Magnum and up to 3300 damage with the drone when you die, which is massively underwhelming compared to the potential of Striker. I will test Magnum with Booster though, since it does have the advantage of not having to lock on.

Well, to each their own. I played for a long time and I don't mind my shot colours going back to M0. I'm just glad that devs are expanding the game's cosmetics to generate revenue from them, rather than adding more P2W features. In the end if's just a shot colour, so I really don't care what it looks like as long as the tank still functions the same. It shouldn't be a big deal for the players, but it's important for the game, since it adds a new source of revenue from cosmetics.

I wouldn't say that we "earned" them. More like they were just given to us. If it would have always been like this and we'd never know any better, then there wouldn't be any problems or complaints. Honestly, it's just a change of colour for your turrets - no need to turn it into such a big deal.

I thought there was no way in hell I'm getting this one, but EVERYONE went for it and EVERYONE died. It was just me and two other guys (who got stuck) by the time I picked up the box.

That's the reason why you get one free mission change per day - use it to get rid of difficult/annoying missions.

Let me just put it this way: would you rather have some silly useless colours for sale, or another OP feature like drones or MUs, which gives buyers even more advantage in battles?
