What controls do you use to play Tanki and how do you use them?
Maf replied to TheCongoSpider in Archive
Left: Ring finger - Shift, Tab, Q (camera) and 1 (RK) Middle finger - Z, E (camera) and 2 (DA) Index finger - X, 3, 4, 5, C, F, G and R Thumb - Spacebar Right: O, K, L and ";" are my equivalent of WASD keys, because I have pretty bad ghosting on all other combinations "+" for gold box Enter for chat I also usually use actual WASD with my left hand when sniping with Shaft. -
Good point. Perhaps the sounds were made by different people who were given different guidelines? And maybe lower frequency sounds are faster to load and reduce the initial download time?

Thank you for your input. Very interesting.

Yeah. Rail protection used to be popular because there were a lot of modules with Rail and people bought them because Rail was a popular gun. But I guess it still is very popular becuase despite having all 14 modules to choose from, I still use Railgun protection a lot because it's still a popular and dangerous gun. Although modules were separated quite recently, so I'm sure that some of the rail module's popularity remains due to the fact that for many people it's the best they have.

Yeah, they're asking him to free the space and then accusing him of being a "mult".

That's 7 hundredths of a second. In terms of tanki records that kind of time makes no difference -_-

completed New players should be able to choose initial equipment
Maf replied to XdesKeerX in Archive
Well, I wish you the best of luck in finding this "Made" guy  -
Literally - "pancake". But it's a very common word used to express frustration, like saying "darn".

It still takes a while to earn that much to afford them all on low ranks. -

Valid Planned Completed Similar idea: Allow new players to choose paint. -
No idea how you get two, I thought it's just the 3rd mission that can be finish 7. Anyway, most of the time I skip those, especially if the reward isn't crystals. And I don't know devs' strategy with this missions system, but I really hope they changed it with good intentions.
-
Did they? I just checked the MM version of it in PRO battles and it seems the same as before. Unless the PRO MM map hasn't been changed.
-
They are doable. I've been doing them 3 a day ever since the update and it usually takes me a total of 3-6 battles (the 1500 score and finish 5 battles takes longest). What you're trying to say is that they're not doable for the average free player, which is absolutely true. But the average player isn't even expected to complete the 3rd weekly mission in a week - it's meant to take 2 weeks at least. Which is fair, in my opinion, since the rewards for all 3 weekly missions are quite high. Besides that, I full agree with your post.
-
Well, having no weekly missions for 6 days also contradicts the idea of forcing people to play. So my solution is a compromise between the two.
-
The weekly missions system is made the way it is in order to encourage players to be more active in the game and complete 3 missions every single day if they want to get the maximum reward. Yes, I agree that it's very frustrating when you are 1 day short of completing your weekly missions and have to wait a whole week to get another set, but that's how the system works. Viking4s actually made a pretty good comparison with the daily missions. If the same principle was applied to daily missions too, then if you completed the previous day's daily mission just after server restart, you'd still be able to get a new mission for that day. But for daily missions this is less practical because their mechanic is slightly different. Either way, criticism is allowed from both players and helpers alike. We do not remove posts just because the poster misunderstood the topic, as misunderstanding is not against the rules. As for the idea - I posted my own solution to this problem in another thread. Basically, if you don't have time to complete the weekly missions, you'd be able to pay crystals to complete them and claim your reward to save time. So for example, if on the last day of the week your missions are at 18/20 because you missed a day, you'd be able to pay something like 5000 crystals and auto-complete the mission. This would be a simple solution that's fair to everyone.

Hi Tanki moderators have no influence on these announcements - most of them are done by the CM. If you see a spelling mistake or link error in an announcement, please message one of the administrators and we'll resolve the issue. Thanks. Closed.

Yes, but it will be merged into the supplies topic.

No, the idea is that if you miss a mission, you can buy it with crystals. You can still only do a maximum of 21 normal missions per week. An easier solution would be to simply be able to pay crystals to complete the rest of the progress for the weekly missions. Say, 3000 crystals per mission (because containers are valuable), so if you are at the end of the week and you are 2 missions short of completing the 20-mission weekly mission, then you pay 6000 crystals and instantly complete the weekly mission.

Topic merged My team and I try our best to reject only the most ridiculous ideas and approve all other topics, even if their ideas are a bit far-fetched. Between us we have years of experience in this game and we know how developers choose to improve it and in which direction they are taking the game, so it's safe to say that our decisions regarding ideas are correct almost all the time. There have been very few cases (2 or 3), where an idea we declined ended up being implemented. Allowing players to vote for ideas is pointless, since most of the time players will vote in favour of anything that helps them get more rewards, and vote against anything that changes the things they are used to, even if the proposal is actually interesting.
