    Map modifications

Did they? I just checked the MM version of it in PRO battles and it seems the same as before. Unless the PRO MM map hasn't been changed.
  2. They are doable. I've been doing them 3 a day ever since the update and it usually takes me a total of 3-6 battles (the 1500 score and finish 5 battles takes longest). What you're trying to say is that they're not doable for the average free player, which is absolutely true. But the average player isn't even expected to complete the 3rd weekly mission in a week - it's meant to take 2 weeks at least. Which is fair, in my opinion, since the rewards for all 3 weekly missions are quite high. Besides that, I full agree with your post.
  3. Well, having no weekly missions for 6 days also contradicts the idea of forcing people to play. So my solution is a compromise between the two.
  4. The weekly missions system is made the way it is in order to encourage players to be more active in the game and complete 3 missions every single day if they want to get the maximum reward. Yes, I agree that it's very frustrating when you are 1 day short of completing your weekly missions and have to wait a whole week to get another set, but that's how the system works. Viking4s actually made a pretty good comparison with the daily missions. If the same principle was applied to daily missions too, then if you completed the previous day's daily mission just after server restart, you'd still be able to get a new mission for that day. But for daily missions this is less practical because their mechanic is slightly different. Either way, criticism is allowed from both players and helpers alike. We do not remove posts just because the poster misunderstood the topic, as misunderstanding is not against the rules. As for the idea - I posted my own solution to this problem in another thread. Basically, if you don't have time to complete the weekly missions, you'd be able to pay crystals to complete them and claim your reward to save time. So for example, if on the last day of the week your missions are at 18/20 because you missed a day, you'd be able to pay something like 5000 crystals and auto-complete the mission. This would be a simple solution that's fair to everyone.

Hi Tanki moderators have no influence on these announcements - most of them are done by the CM. If you see a spelling mistake or link error in an announcement, please message one of the administrators and we'll resolve the issue. Thanks. Closed.
  6. Yes, but it will be merged into the supplies topic.
  7. No, the idea is that if you miss a mission, you can buy it with crystals. You can still only do a maximum of 21 normal missions per week. An easier solution would be to simply be able to pay crystals to complete the rest of the progress for the weekly missions. Say, 3000 crystals per mission (because containers are valuable), so if you are at the end of the week and you are 2 missions short of completing the 20-mission weekly mission, then you pay 6000 crystals and instantly complete the weekly mission.
  8. Topic merged My team and I try our best to reject only the most ridiculous ideas and approve all other topics, even if their ideas are a bit far-fetched. Between us we have years of experience in this game and we know how developers choose to improve it and in which direction they are taking the game, so it's safe to say that our decisions regarding ideas are correct almost all the time. There have been very few cases (2 or 3), where an idea we declined ended up being implemented. Allowing players to vote for ideas is pointless, since most of the time players will vote in favour of anything that helps them get more rewards, and vote against anything that changes the things they are used to, even if the proposal is actually interesting.
  9. Well, that's not really a question for the general forum audience, but I assume the tweaked something and it cause an unpredictable issue to arise. I have no experience in programming, but based on what I've heard others say, with software you can change one small thing, and then another completely unrelated thing will just completely crash in the most disastrous way.

  12. The I&S archives go back to 2013, when this section was created. But back then the rules were different and the game had a different development path, so some ideas were treated differently than they would now.
  13. Under review Idea is good, and I'd definitely use this feature a lot (and not just to counter spawn-killing), but it's unlikely to be implemented. Devs don't want to add any controls besides the most essential ones, and something like spawn point selection seems like a major new feature that doesn't add that much to gameplay, but takes a lot of effort to develop and makes controls more complicated.
  14. Is that true? I can't say I've tried to compare them myself, but I don't recall any updates aimed at reducing the gap between modifications.
  15. Let's wait for them to be released before we actually judge whether or not they are OP.
  16. Answered, thanks. In the future if you have any questions about the game, please use the official Q&A thread. Topic closed.
  17. Teamwork and cooperation via chat was definitely more common in "the good old days", and while the merging of the servers and creation of a language barrier is definitely one of the reasons for less communication in battle chat, I don't think it's the main reason for it. Gameplay simply became more dynamic, with respawn times and total battle times becoming shorter. Since previously battles would often last around 30 minutes, there was always time to stop and discuss strategy. Nowadays, you are much better off playing actively, than wasting precious seconds trying to use the chat for tactical discussion. That being said I would still very much like to have some kind of easy communication system, such as key shortcuts to tell people to defend, to attack, meet the flag carrier, etc.
  18. Possibly a John Wick reference
  19. It's not about having a deep meaning or a cool word - it's about having a short, neat and easily memorable name. To me, and to a lot of other people such names are the perfect choice to be respected and recognised. Due to the fact that nicknames get taken, shorter names that have no numbers, replaced letters, sound good and mean something are hard to come by. And formatting it like a real name (capital letter followed by lowercase) is neat. To be fair, a lot of gang nicknames and army nicknames also seem random at first. Mine is pretty simple - I used to be Mafioso, but I didn't want to be associated with a criminal organization when I became admin, and everyone called me Maf anyway, so...

I'm a tryhard, so I play without music to hear nearby engine sounds and shots

    Pony-Tail Boy - Official Discussion

That rule only applies to other players, not developers. That being said, there is no point discussing this. What are you going to say? That he's a "terrible developer who should get fired"? That won't do anything good for anyone. Closed.
