Well, the whole purpose of ODs is to make each hull's gameplay more unique, so that's the only reason they are tied to the hulls. Not the best strategy, I agree. But I guess it will work...

Topic merged The JGR icon is already in the list of PRO battle filters, so I can only assume that it's already planned to add the game mode.

Under review So I actually talked to tech support about this and it seems like they aren't planning to fix it. You see, buying items for others and giving someone else your payment link is actually against the rules, so it's technically your own fault that you put yourself into this situation. It infuriates me that they don't want to fix such a blatant error in the system (an error that literally lets anyone block their enemies' accounts with a simple trick), but what can we do. I mean seriously, all it takes is implementing this idea to make buying gifts official and safe. (╯°□°)╯︵┻━┻

planned Ability to kick players from your own private battles
Maf replied to King_Khan_143 in Ideas and Suggestions
Under review Planned There's no need to have a new setting for this. I declined a very similar idea previously because ability to kick players could be easily abused by the creator to gain easy battle funds, but that is no longer a problem since funds and EXP are disabled in private battles. So by default it would make perfect sense of the battle creator had this ability in private battles. That being said, this won't be added to public PRO battles to prevent abuse.- 83 replies

Me .__. Although my case is somewhat different since I live/study abroad and my grandparents are in Russia, so it's nice to go see them for a few months a year because they miss me. Also they need help in their countryside cottage where they go during summer months. Also also, living in Dubai during summer is hell, so it's nice to go into the much more pleasant Russian climate. I do bring my laptop most of the time though.

This idea is definitely more on the ridiculous side. More importantly, a lot of these game modes are just the existing game modes with a twist, since they don't actually add any new mechanics to the game (unlike Rugby or Juggernaut when they were added) - they just slightly change the gameplay of the existing mode. Another important factor is that of you want these to be added as separate game modes in MM battles - they will only increase the waiting times for the battles due to players being more spread out across game modes. And if you want these to be added to PRO battles only - OK, but it's unlikely that devs will be making any more PRO-exclusive content at this point.

I wouldn't go as far as calling it a scam. Just simple clickbait/lie. It's your choice whether or not you want to believe them and waste your time going to the battle. After all, even if they did lie, the only thing you lose is a few minutes from joining and leaving the battle.

I gave some examples already, but I'll make a list to reiterate: Some people may not have a PC and found out about Tanki when they came across it on youtube or their favourite youtuber did an overview of the game. They don't have PC, but they will be happy to try the game using the mobile version. Sometimes PC is not available. Mine was broken for 3 months this summer and I had to use my phone to complete missions before I got my PC fixed. If you have a desktop PC or simply don't want to carry your laptop on a trip, but still want to complete missions/play, you can do so on your phone. Some children are too young to get their own PC, so perhaps they were using their parents' or friend's device to play. With the mobile version they can do it on their phone. I'm 22 years old, so I'm pretty sure I can relate to the current times. Not all families are the same, and some are too poor to get individual devices for their children (but phones are cheaper), while others intentionally refrain from buying a PC for their child to avoid them getting distracted and not focusing on school work. You don't really need a PC to study until around 10th grade (15-16 years), so I'm sure a lot of children don't have a PC or laptop, but obviously almost everyone has a phone. I don't understand why playing on a phone would be more expensive. If you are using wi-fi, it's the same as with a computer. Even if you use your data, gaming actually takes very little resources to play (once you download the app with all its textures and graphics), so I don't think it would be expensive. I mean, I think I recall playing for 5 hours one day and only used about 20mb of data. I doubt that a lot of parents block mobile games, but there's no reason to consider those cases, since if a parent does something like that, then it doesn't matter if the child has a phone or PC - Tanki will be inaccessible either way.

@a7x_Pedro48, @stanzhang, @DieselPlatinum, @Bydo and @wolverine848, your posts about the mobile version have been moved to a more relevant topic: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=356082

Children? I don't know, but I feel like a lot of kids below 14 (a large part of Tanki's audience) don't have their own PCs and only have phones. Besides, there are many potential situations where you might not have access to your PC, even if you own one.

Not quite. Turrets that shoot instantly (Smoky, Thunder, etc) would never miss, but Striker, Twins and Rico could, if the enemy is moving. The game would point your turret towards the enemy, but not account for their movement (so no leading shots). I never said every day. Imagine you're visiting your grandparents for 3 months during summer and you can't bring your desktop PC with you. The mobile version would be perfect in that situation.

I found it. I approved the idea a couple days late, but Hate merged the idea into the Profiles topic a day after, so your topic was up for much less time than it should have been. You can find it here: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=377173

Of course it's undeniably worse than playing on PC, because let's face it - how could controls using two fingers ever be better than a whole keyboard (and mouse)? But it's definitely playable for situations when you don't have your PC with you (on a trip), or you don't have access to a PC at all and want to play. But I agree that it needs different controls and a unique feature that will put mobile players on a similar level as PC players. One thing I personally suggested is more advanced autoaim, so when you press a button, your turret automatically turns and points at the nearest enemy, but you still have to manually press fire, activate supplies and control the actual tank.

So we're calling 2016 Tanki "retro" now? On a serious note - this would be a terrible financial decision for Tanki. Making an older playable version of the game has multiple huge disadvantages: It would take many months and man hours to create. It would drive some of the current audience away from the main game, which means less effective Matchmaking. It would create some hype on release date, but the vast majority of players would play it for 5 minutes and go back to the current version (because in most aspects it's undeniably better). Only a handful of players would actually stay and play regularly. The amount of revenue it would generate would cover only a small part of the development cost. My guess is it would stay active for a couple months or so, but then everyone would go back to the main game because it's better and has more active players. So yeah, there's a reason why we don't accept ideas for "bringing back old tanki".

Someone else could have merged it somewhere without me noticing, because I don't recall seeing any topic from you. You latest topic was posted on the 16th of September.

You can already cancel the afterburn if you time the repair kit well. Just make sure you activate it right after the fire damage tick.

Valid 7 module slots, but gradually reducing protection value
Maf replied to OKDad70 in Ideas and Suggestions
Topic merged You're suggesting a very similar concept to this topic. Also, I don't get why you had to introduce this "efficiency" into the mix. Not to mention that I think your numbers are wrong, since 150 being reduced to 140 is not a 30% loss.
